You looked pretty good, it's clear you were thinking about what you were doing instead of just mashing. Keep at it!
As a vira main. Just know that as oppressively long range as it can be. She gives up her turn when she does it. Meaning that often times a 66L will beat her attempt to hit 5m a second time. If you respect it too much she will just keep throwing it and it will feel bad.

FWIW Vira is kinda fixed in the actual Granblue Game. She’s madly in love with Katalina, and while it’s heavily implied Katalina reciprocates those feelings, she’s also oblivious as hell. Vira though has gone through leaps and bounds of character development, and her, obsession, with Katalina is a lot healthier now.
So of course you can’t fix her, she doesn’t need fixing. And since shes gay.

That’s pretty cool to hear, I’ve heard from people that the main story in Granblue has been stalled for ages now, so I really wondered if what we’re seeing in the fighting game is just what these characters have been like all the years. Or if there actually has been any developments on that front.
Gonna be able to get this game this christmas, Im so excited, looks so fun to play! Gives me something to take my mind off Uni over the holidays :)
Man, Sajam's Vira is scary! All the Viras I've fought have been bullied until/unless they get the install, and then it's pretty even. Interesting to see what higher level play is like!

P.S. Vira's 214L punishes Seox for doing the dash backward in his rekka string if you're ready for it.

As someone that started playing her in the original after she released and kept playing her in the beta along with Percival, I'm happy to see you join the vira gang. She's such a fun character and the new mechanics have really made the experience with her fresh.
edit: also in case you havent tried them out, vira's ult skills are worth looking into, especially Ult butterfly since it gives you some sick midscreen combos.

Vira was the character I played the most in the beta and she’s sooooo fun, the install the big buttons the combo routes the personality THE INSTALL SUPPPER and not to mention the sheer amount of damage this yandere can output it’s crazy
I've been having a lot of fun with this game so far, mainly playing Soriz and Nier. Glad to hear Boots is doing better.
I enjoyed the transition to Mr. Jam beating up people online to the fall guys thing, that caught me so offguard and I ws just laughing my ass off due to the absurdity of it all

Siegfried has honestly been so fun to play, I used to play Vaserga way back and tried Vira in the beta but Sieg just fits me better. I need to use his mediums more cause they're really good, but unga bunga beeg sword is too fun.

You know I've never played this game but I have some affection for Vira after I saw her in Will it Kill.
I was thinking "oh, this is a low damage game, it won't kill"

Not sure if this will be even seen but you can do C.L on their wakeup and it will be safe against supers and alot of DPs since they are fast enough to come out and end that the super wont even hit

I don't ever feel safe with her pokes. Maybe I should play a more aggressive character. And whenever I try to buffer 214 off far medium on block, my command seems to get eaten. The input buffer is killing me.
A really cool attention to detail is that Vira has a different tone in her voice when she faces Katalina. For those of you who don't know Vira idolizes Katalina and has an obsession with her (hence why she's the crazy yandare character), so it makes sense that against Katalina she doesn't act all crazy like her usual self.
I do reccomend you guys watch the anime, we do learn about Katalina's and Vira's past during the second season which does give more background to Vira and her behavior.
I played a long set against a vira last night and while it was really informative, man I struggled lol. The ambiguous command grab/throw/dash attacks along with how plus she is on her block strings makes her scary to deal with before throwing in her dp which makes trying to pressure her back hard.

Tbf you are playing a character that is notoriously weak to dp due to being setup reliant and lacks a dp of their own unless at 50 meter. Vira is strong, but that’s also a bad match up
Try to play slightly more zoner like as Zooey against Vira. Vira actually struggles against longer range characters until she gets her install. So keeping away from her using the dragon to zone would work better then trying to contest her when her buttons are just better.
@@SH1NK1R01 Even then that's not really effective with how good her pokes are and how oppressive dash attacks are in general for the cast combined with the universal dodge. And if you give up space you're just letting yourself into the corner where her offense truly shines. Like yeah it's a bad matchup but in general offense is just really strong with how punishing burning charge diamonds can be. I play seox secondary so I can't complain for i have sinned.
@@luminoseflame7120 while it’s true it’s not a good matchup either way, you should understand that zoning and giving up space are not the same. In fact when properly zoning her you shouldn’t need to back away from her. It’s the same reason why Vira struggles against Siegfried. His projectile alone lets him keep her spaced just out of 5m range. The difference there being that he has a dp. But your strength in that matchup is basically only your ability to zone. If you don’t play in to it at all then it’s borderline hopeless. I speak from experience. Every Zooey I’ve ever struggled against or who beat me completely were using the dragon to keep me as far away as possible. And every Zooey who got clapped was trying to run up and play set play. Because she couldn’t contest anything I could do at all.
@@SH1NK1R01 I know zoning and giving up space aren't the same thing but siegfried should highlight the difference in that his projectile is not only large but spammable whereas zooey has to not only manage her dragon meter but also keep in mind it's position if the light version is thrown out. You have the option of doing the super version of the dragon to build meter for that juicy laser beam but as you pointed out Zooeys only invincible reversal costs meter so its a tough choice to make. The lightning while a good tool when used as an ex to push her back, is really unsafe in neutral. I don't want this to seem like I'm dismissing your advice since what you're saying is correct, it just is rough lol. Rush down characters being scary if they get in? Next they'll say water is wet.
Anyone else getting the match screen but opponent always declines or runs down the clock in rank and casual matches? I rarely seem to get matches
Just go back to title screen and reconnect to the servers when that happens. Always works for me.

Siegfried doesn't seem to be as popular as I expected. I thought more people would play him since he's a pretty good character, super easy and looks really cool but I barely any match footage with him.
I guess he's more of a beginner level character
He's also a big slow bruiser, which isn't often a popular archetype (Marisa in SF6 aside). Might be hampering him a bit.
Though I feel like I've seen a fair amount of him personally. Certainly a lot more than I've seen of any of the original base roster characters besides Gran.
I've been thinking of picking him up honestly, I played one yesterday who was really good at managing buffs/stance and his damage gets pretty absurd if he gets stacks. Fun character
Went to a tournament last night, and I swear half the people there was playing him. I don't think he's that unpopular.

You can have Japanese and english voices at the same time??
Only if your opponent chooses a different voice option than yours
Online mode will play the voice option that each person has selected. So if you pick English voices, unless someone specifically goes out of their way to mod their copy of the game, they’ll hear English voices from you even if they’ve selected Japanese audio for themselves, and vice versa.
Kinda adds another layer to that player customization that Sajam talks about, alongside colours and such.

@@Zangelin Sure more options would be cool, I'd love if you could set it for individual characters. Majority of the cast I'd just have in english likely, but there are a few key ones I'd like to have in Japanese. Not enough to pick Japanese voices over English, but ah well.

I was going to get this game until I realized they wanted full price again, even if you owned the last game with DLC's. I know they said they can't do an "upgrade path" due to coding. But not giving an "upgrade discount" or something to show appreciation for their supporters really stinks. I actually bought it on PS4 and then on PC to see if ParSec could fix it at launch. Oh well, at least the game is playable now.

Nier deserves some slack. Her parents used her to acquire prestige and discarded her in the dungeon of their mansion with the muck and rats. Many nights Nier spent down there, listening to the glee of her parents and her sister Corrie celebrate a life *Nier* fought for. As the ultimate *fuck you* they sent her sister down to the basement to murder her, because they got sick of hearing her tortured screams and crying.
