@@drivewaydiyer6504 yeah I noticed the pin was sticking out, so I pushed it back in, it now opens fine. Was looking at replacing it, with a red one, but they only do a carbon red one, looks OK, I might just have to paint one lol

Thanks had my car for 15 years and could not figure out how to change the battery. You feel silly when you see how simple it is to open. I was trying to push the back off.
Ooh, sounds like a problem with the transponder. Check the key to make sure it’s all gone back together probably. Do you have a spare and does that work?
@@drivewaydiyer6504 nope no spare this is the only one I have, I've had a look at the book and tried everything and nothing is working. Even put old battery back in and that hasn't worked either?
Not sure, is it affecting your key. Would be worth taking it in to a specialist, before it leaves you stranded. Might be something from the circuit board.
Hmm as if that will work for me.. i dropped my key it all came apart!! Now i have the blade seperate and the remote .. now thats stopped working completely..im so soooo annoyed

@@stephenbowler165 if you’re happy your keys are fine, check the wiring looms in the doors for broken wires. Quite common in Zafira’s

I went through the wheel arch and Vauxhall had install a access hatch in the wheel arch so made it alot more simple thanks

Thanks, that easy huh, all I've got to do now is somehow get the flip part to work smoothly.
Is the flip part stiff, maybe a little bit of silicone lubricant in there, to get it to go smoothly.

I’m not sure on screw size, but you can by refurbishment kits for fobs. Not ver expensive. If you just want a screw, try key shops like timpsons etc.

I would say it needs recoding then. Did the battery drain to nothing?
Opened my Vauxhall fob and some kind of metal retainer fell out… any ideas
Is It the battery retainer that’s come out? Is it circular?

Sounds like it, you can buy kits to revamp your fob. Might be a problem with the buttons .
Yeah the left button doesn't click as well as the right. I have tried putting in a new battery today.
