    I watched your video for the Camshaft Sensor on an Infiniti qx80, I have a 2017. You're saying bank 1 and bank 2 are the opposite of every other video that mentions it (that I've seen). Is it different for a v6 and v8? It just seems no matter which motor, facing the engine from the front; bank 1 would be the left side of the engine and bank 2 would be the right side. Please clarify if you are correct on this. I don't know myself, but need to know before tackling this job. Thanks!

      I went ahead and replaced the sensor, I did it the way you said. So far so good. The code said bank 2 sensor error, so I replaced the top one on the passenger side of the engine. The issue was intermittent so time will tell if it worked. Thanks for the informative video.

    I've been loving your videos especially regarding the m56! I'm having some rough idle/ rpm issues in my 2011 m56S. Is there anyway I could contact you? i'm planning on getting new oem air filters, 1406 spark plugs, and possibly trying to clean out the catalytic converter. Should I also be looking to replace the pvc valve and high pressure fuel regulator to cover all my bases or is cleaning out the carburetor the best first step? No codes except for the p0420 from a few months ago and a evap code, but both were cleared and haven't come back in weeks. I'm sitting at 126,000 miles and no one in my area seems to know much about this car except for what I find in these videos, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    I have a ‘14 QX80 and need to locate the crankshaft sensor. Do you know where that it is? I think it’s behind the intake manifold but not 100% sure.

      I believe the crank sensor is at the bottom of the engine, where the engine meets the transmission.

    What exactly is different between the qx80 vs m56 engine

    • @EdBwoy
      @EdBwoy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The most obvious difference is the single versus dual intake, but I shall cover this topic a little better in the near future

    Question, i've got a 2012 Qx56, and it only has 1 camshaft postion sensor and 1 VVT solenoid per bank. Would a later engine, such as your year, still work in my car if the Exhaust cam sensor and solenoid were left in the engine, but not hooked up?

    • @EdBwoy
      @EdBwoy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I am not certain about that. I think it would require going over the tech specs to see if everything else in the engine (except the extra VVT) is the same.

    Hows your intake valves look?

      Not very pretty. I will do some cleaning.
      I was planning to use the brush and chemical method, but I think when you own so many DI engines, it makes sense to invest in something a little more efficient

    Can I swap out my 5.0 v8 in my 50s yo a vk56de

    • @EdBwoy
      @EdBwoy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In theory, yes you can. However, you should know that you might need some wiring changes, along with getting the proper ECU to run the direct injection (assuming you're talking about the VK56VD)

    I hear the starters are a bitch on the 5.6’s. They’re in the “V”, and require a lot of work to replace.

      It's not the most accessible thing, but it's doable in a weekend. I did it, I just need time to edit the video th-cam.com/users/shortsAu5PCFZ2M1g
