Exactly this. There was a blown delay of game call on the spike before the kick that should have backed up Baltimore another 5. But once again a blown call leads to the Lions losing in dramatic fashion; something us fans have experienced far too much.

As a 50+ year Lion fan, I knew the Lions would settle for the FG on their last drive which would setup Balt/Jackson for the win. That always happens. I also knew they would convert the 4th and 19. That also always happens. I have to say, the record 66 yarder as time expired, tapping the crossbar with the exact angle of the ball needed to flip on through, THAT was a new one. Congrats to the Ravens who've done something not many can do - find a NEW WAY to beat the Lions. When you've lost by nearly every scenario possible, that is a tough feat. Booing Sheila Ford at the Calvin Johnson ceremony is the best thing that has ever happened to me as a Lion fan.

This couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. Every year at the pro bowl he takes time to sign autographs for so many fans and talks and jokes with them. He is a great ambassador for the nfl and a very humble person. He deserves this
He's definitely living his best life and knows how blessed he is to be living his dream as a professional NFL kicker. He puts in the work with his center and holder and it pays off in instances like this one. There aren't many kickers in the HOF but if any kicker deserves a first ballot entry, it's Justin Tucker. Amazing kick to win a hard fought game. Bravo Ravens.

Not only is this the longest field goal ever but it was also kicked outside of Denver. The majority of the longest field goals of all time have been kicked in Denver because of how thin the air is and the fact that he broke the record outside of there is just insane. Man is a Hall of Famer already

Jason Elam of the Broncos made a 63 with room to spare over a decade ago. And I'm not even a Broncos fan lol. Mason Crosby is 6 years older at 37. Being almost 40, he has made over 50 more field goals than Tucker. He hasn't had to make them that long because he has Aaron Rodgers as a QB🤣just saying. Go back and watch Mason Crosby hit a 58 yarder and see how high up the post it was. So thought about this last year.. Is his pre-kick wind up legal? he kinda takes a extra step back. Definitely needed for an amazing long field-goal. Don't get me wrong I love to see it, but are there rules for lining up for a field goal? Most likely Tucker and the other big legs can kick longer with a run up. Is it a timing issue or a rule in the NFL?
Timing is the issue. He doesn’t crow hop before the snap, that would be a false start. He does it after the snap to get a little more momentum. Any longer run up would make the kick take longer and almost guarantee it would be blocked.
Went to the ravens game last week v the bengals (I’m an eagles fan but if I get offered a free ticket I’ll slap on an orioles jersey and go). There was a bengals fan talking smack most the time right behind me until the ravens got into Bengals territory. Before tucker even sets up for the try he quietly left. I don’t know if he watched it from the stairway or not, but that kinda shows just how good a kicker JT is. Best in NFL History and honestly it’s not even close imo.
