In 2009, one morning in July. I walked along street for some fresh air, and saw a church with 3 gates completely open, wondering why all the gates opened, nobody was walking in and out!
So, I stepped into it and saw the inside was lights off, dark and empty except strong sunlight from the middle gate pouring onto the central pathway.
Immediately, I was “stunned” by the the warmest love feelings and overwhelmed my heart!
For the 1st time in my whole life my heart felt I was loved so so so much!
which I knew it only could come from God! My eyes was not able to see, but my heart felt God is there 100% no doubt, but I thought that loving energy came from the church building!
Until 5 years later, in 2016, the true answer was revealed right before my Spiritual Exercise retreat-- that’s every Catholic Church uniquely has the real Body&Blood of Jesus via Eucharist as exactly as Jesus did on HIS last supper!

Praise God for testimonies like this. I myself am considering the Catholic Church, having grown up in a liberal Protestant denomination that I barely relate to anymore. But I feel God is moving in my life, and we will see where my journey leads.

Too bad they are so disunified with no authority. You move from Greek to Russian Orthodox and need to be re-baptized. I do not want to disparage the sacrament, but that's unbelievable.

It's not that Catholics do good works to recieve Salvation. If that were so, many more of us would be overly certain. But the truth is, our 'LOVE'of Christis what drives us to obedience to His 'Will'.
It's also why, our greatest example of 'Human' example derives from our Mother Mary's own 'FIAT' to the Will of God. We say 'Yes' too,
And if ''Good Works' are the results of Obedience....Sorry then, that we seem to be always doing the best that we can do. Jesus said, "let your light so shine before men that they may see your ' Good Works' and Glorify your Father which is in Heaven!"

Confession. It is funny that Protestants will make fun if this Sacrament and say they can confess directly to God without any form of shame or humility, but cannot even face another frail human being to confess their sins out of shame and humility. If we can't dare face another human being for confession, how much more of God?

It's perfectly ok to confess your sins to God, but the question is: are you forgiven?
Its easy to say yes, but how can anyone know?
Jesus wasn't kidding when He said: "Whatever sins you forgive...are forgiven".
He gave the authority, He WILL stand by that.

If we truly believe that it is the Lord - Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity - in the Eucharist, then all of our actions in receiving him should be done in utmost reverence - kneeling and on the tongue, with only the priest with consecrated hands who should administer the holy Communion. The laity should not be allowed to touch the Sacred Species at any time, unless there is a danger presented and we need to protect the Eucharist from sacrilege. Communion on the tongue is the ancient practice of the Catholic Church, and was sadly abused after the Second Vatican Council and how its implementation was gravely abused by the clergy, starting with the indult on communion on the hand. This was a grave mistake, and look at how our Churches are closed in a lot of places. The Lord is telling us an important lesson and teaching here - that is, the abuses must stop.

Many of the church fathers distributed communion to the hands of the laity. We shouldn’t judge others for receiving this way. That being said, I feel reverence for the Eucharist is lacking, and I do receive on my knees on the tongue.

Permit me to say that I 've never heard more vague testimony than this one. I didn't understand the reason he left confessional lutheranism. I suspect that he never studied the confessional lutheran theology in depth. This kind of testimony are sentimental focused and not theologically driven. His approach to James reveals his huge ignorance on lutheran theology. Please forgive me saying this, but it is outrageous to hear from a former confessional lutheran in name he didn't understand what his former church was teaching and does teach on the issues of works.

    • @inthesprawl
      @inthesprawl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

That was my view, too. Anyone watching this would walk away a total misunderstanding of Lutheranism. The fact he was an elder and would fill in when the pastor was gone, with such limited theological/confessional knowledge, makes this look like another "grass is greener" scenario.
