MY GOD.......I've watched every show on this tour i can find as they come out on YT and Joe is absolutely starting to own these songs.... His energy, bite, aggression and feel on 5150 gives me chills. Sammy's singing it all stronger, getting his guitar fingers back in form. All of 'em... just getting better and better. These guys sound so fucking good. Can't believe I missed out on tickets. They gotta extend this thing and come back next summer. GOTTA....my teen sons were sooo hyped we were trying to get tickets...as was I.
Seeing Sammy, Michael, and Satch tomorrow at Dos Equis Pavillion in Dallas. Been in the bucket since 80's, before life got complicated. Dream come true finally. Who's there with me in 2024?
I was there. Such a great show. I had a "Best of all Worlds" tour shirt on. I had my arms crossed during one of the Montrose songs and Sammy pointed me out and asked me not to cross my arms, and gave me a thumbs up when he saw it. At the end of "Jump" he wanted to give me that drink he had in his hand. Security wouldn't let me go up and the crowd started passing it back to me. It ended up going to some woman who claimed to know Sammy. I had a great time! My dad and i traveled 3 1/2 hrs to get there.
What incredible energy! Sammy (at 76 years old) and Michael simply killing it! As for Satch, he has the opportunity (which many would like to have) to honor the modern guitar king that he never wanted to copy, having the mastery of playing the same notes without acting like an identityless clone of EVH (who present themselves as connoisseurs of the his work). Closing, Bonhan with his characteristic tone and feel. Those who were able to be there consider themselves privileged, as no one knows when this will happen again in a near future.
Satriani is incredible. Saw him with his band (same keyboard player in this video) and he blew the roof of the place. Steve Vai opened and joined him at the end of Joe's set. A guitar players wet dream.
Thanks so much for another great front row (or better) seat. Amazing. Sammy is a stand up guy. I am in the middle of reading Red -- his biography and it is great. Props to Joe, Michael and Bonzo Jr.
We saw them at Blossom Music Center and, aside from a brief technical issue with the speakers at the venue, this was one of the best concerts we have been to over the years.
Thank God Sammy put this thing together. He tried to the the VH family involved. But they declined. Time is running out for everyone. Nowhere else could you have 2 former VH band members playing VH songs live. Enjoy it, It is once in a lifetime chance.
Amazing. Sammy sounds so amazing at 30 years of age. Imagine what he would sound like at 40. Eddie is watching from above. He is so proud. Eddie has kids and gets it. The future is bright. The whole band sounds amazing. Anthony... My God your vocals are amazing. You are all in your 70's. Not possible. We are turning the corner. Folks are getting finally that the ship is sinking and that there are enough life boats for everyone this time around.
Just because the band is still playing while the Titanic is upside down does not mean that jumping ship is not the correct. We have a plan and it is an amazing future. No more hoods and societies playing games. No more initiations. That would be a great band name. "Initiation Game Plan". Or what I would call a band in the future. "Pigeon". You could do amazing art work. Better than Sheeple. Pigeons never seem to get out of the way even in traffic. I obviously do not harm them but they never seem to care. "Pigeon" Perhaps they see what is going on and just know how to move and not contest?
Thanks for the upload, Jim! I’ve seen a handful of videos of this tour and this crowd seems to be the most engaged, singing along to a lot of the songs.
I was at this show also. At the top of the lawn on a deck. They put on a helluva show. They all sounded great. Satch was on his game, put his spin on EVH’s stuff. Glad I was there!
