I recommend Everyone in this Room Will Someday be Dead by Emily Austin. The sapphic relationship is a small part of the novel, but where it really hit me is the mental illness rep. As a lesbian with ocd it just really hit home for me!

I so so recommend the graphic novel 'Mooncakes' by Suzanne Walker, for all of your delightful queer romance needs! It has queer love, non-binary representation, witches and werewolves, gay nanas, all in front of the beautiful backdrop of autumn in a New England town! I read it over this weekend and had a joyous time 💛 I now REALLY want to start reading some more graphic novels, so I am definitely adding some of Tillie Walden's works to the list 💛

I've been loving your dive into graphic novels, its really inspired me to try reading more and more of them. I rated She Who Became The Sun between 3 and 4 stars, I thought it dragged for a while but really ended strong, plus it set up the next book really well.
One Last Stop was slow for me when I was reading the book but I switched to the audiobook and as I listened to it and walked around Central Park, I flew through the rest of it. It did make me cry

here are some more: the priory of the orange tree, the traitor baru cormorant, the unbroken, a memory called empire, gideon the ninth, the long way to a small angry planet, wilder girls, some of these are the first book in a series, they are all sci-fi/fantasy

I love how varied your recommendations are. One that l think is out of the realm of what you'd typically read but I think is sooo good is Tipping the velvet.
Mind you the closest thing it's reminds of is Seven husbands (which I know wasn't a winner for you) or the love story in Ratchet. Definitely worth a shot though even if not your typical vibe!

You should read Delilah Green doesn't care, 10/10, amazing! Also, Her body and other partys is my best read of 2022, and every short story has a saphic undertone.
Carmen Maria Machado is one of my favourite autors. Into the dream house made me feel so seen. A lot of people can't accept same sex violent relationships, even in feminist or queer spaces and duuuude, I needed that book

hani and ishu's guide to fake dating is so so wonderful! the characters have so much depth and feels so fleshed out and i love that they talked about academic pressures in certain cultures and having horrible friends but you've known them since forever so cutting ties would be difficult. and the mc and love interest are so cute together.

ALLY!!!!! you need to read radio silence!!! especially if you loved heartstopper!!!!
not only does a complicated platonic/romantic confusing relationship between two girls moves the story forward, there’s not a single cishet person in this book. above all, it’s about friendship and finding people who feel like outsiders just like you. it’s paradise for the younger millennials and older gen z’s who were raised by tumblr and strangers on the internet. i’m not the biggest fan of YA but radio silence made it to my favorites list. based on your favorite themes in books, i can guarantee it’ll warm your heart

I really disliked milk fed because of the depiction of a restrictive eating disorder. I suffered from anorexia all throughout my teenage years, and to me the novel was just offensive. I’m sure everyone has their own ideas about it, especially fellow ED survivors. So if you loved it, that’s great. It just gives me the ick, especially because I hear very little people talk about it critically.

I'm adding another comment i know, but i just finished a Dutch book which i think you might like!
It's 'de meisjes' by Annet Schaap. It's a collection of fairytales but written with a girl focused/feminist twist. The writer is originally an illustrater so with every fairytale you have these lonely, linoprint like illustrations and it really adds to the vibe. It's written for ages 8 and up, and the pages are really easy to read because of how they were formatted. As a 20 year old Dutch speaker it wasn't boring despite the more accessible language (which is heavily underlooked in Dutch novels) and it had wonderful messages

I recommend checking out The Rise of Kyoshi if you want to spend some more time in the Avatar the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra universe!! Kyoshi was always v mysterious so I loved getting to learn more about her- plus one of the authors is the co-creator of both ATLA and LOK so everything is canon, including her bisexuality 🥰
EDIT: and while I don’t read much romance in general and don’t have a lot to compare this to (I def plan to check out your recs), kyoshi’s first sapphic kiss is the absolute cutest imo 🥺 But also I should warn you that there are a lot of surprisingly dark moments throughout the book, it’s much darker than both aang and korra’s stories

The Lesbiana's Guide and Clap When You Land straight (haha) to my tbr! Let me take the opportunity to recommend you a Brazilian author! Natalia Borges Polesso's short stories collection Amora was translated to English by Julia Sanches, is all about women loving women and it won major Brazilian literary prizes in 2016. I particularly love the stories 'Wild Inside' and 'Flor'. Thanks for another great video!
