- Today, Adam Cain starts his PGA journey in PGA Tour 2k23 MyCareer. After a short-lived NFL career, it's time for Adam Cain to try a new sport.
On my MrHurriicaneLP channel I make sports gaming lets play series. My series focus on building teams and players from sports like baseball and football. I play games such as Madden 23, NCAA Football 14, MLB The Show 22 and more.

I never watch golf, but somehow Cane can get me literally out of my seat watching that long putt on 15. Excited for the new content!
Clubs with forgiveness attributes will be very beneficial for learning the game and mechanics
Flop shot goes higher and has way less roll to it, sometimes even spinning backwards if done right (at least irl). Punch shot keeps it nice and low(good for under trees) but rolls more. Happy you're doing this series!

All of the disappointment in his voice without the higher register hahaha. But yeah I agree. I’m not a golf fan but I’m also not a baseball fan and Cane makes both of them not only watchable but enjoyable.

Hey Cane, in case you haven't realised already, up on the right stick adds topspin (increased forward roll) and down on the right stick adds backspin (decreased forward roll). Love your content! 🇮🇪

Definitely I think this series has potential. I look forward to seeing what you have in store as I have been playing video golf games since Golf on the NES. Take care and keep the series going. BTW, it looked like you were hitting you puts just a tad too hard most of time. Try to not let the meter get to the very left edge of the white portion. Try to be in the middle or slightly to the right and see how that goes. Later!
This was NOT what I thought I would’ve seen when I saw a Cane notification, but.
This is a pleasant surprise
You have to get the line straight, being slow or fast is practice but the line on the right takes a huge effect on tougher settings. It's worth while practicing some chipping, the flop and splash are very useful when you have a small landing zone or a downhill run to the hole.
Pay close attention to the speed of the lines when putting. A slow moving line may means inside cup, where as a slightly faster moving line may need outside the cup.
Extra height on approach shots or a higher club number club will give you less roll and a quicker stop. Eventually even spin.
Keep going. It's a fun change.
I love when cane brings back characters from previous stories and puts them in some new role post football. Need more of this!

I don’t watch golf at all I only know like 2 maybe 3 golfers but somehow I’ve watched this because of cane 🤣🤣

With putts, if a putt is down hill it’ll break slightly more and if it is up hill it’ll break slightly less. uphill puts are generally easier to make.
With chip shots, the longer you fly your chip, the longer it will roll out. ie. 5 yard chips won’t roll out much. 9 yard chips roll for longer.
With hitting approach shots, you’re long lofted clubs (woods, 4, 5, 6 irons) will roll out much longer than your high lofted clubs (wedges)
also with your approach shots, it is good to change club and shot types to a full swing if possible if you prefer full shots over finesse shots
On that last par 5, you were hitting 3 wood off the tee instead of driver. Obviously, you eagled, but my point is, always be sure of the club you're hitting, especially off the tee. I enjoyed the video. Looking forward to more.

Good series idea Cane. Try putting spin on the golf ball on those second shots that you said you struggle with. Backspin is a life saver. Possibly look into also learning how to hit fades and draws.

Golf is one of those sports that I would never watch by choice...until I was at my grandpa's house and we'd watch Tiger for hours.

NICE Second green first shot, yuou needed more power. I think your choice of angle was good. Might need a story line where he is intimidated by the cheering LOL!
Glad to see PGA. Shot types. Punch Keep a it low good for high winds but i rolls a lot. The flop shot goes very high put has no roll to it on landings. Pitch is the best for short range approach shots. Might want to turn on the putt preview. The way i used to play was logging up my shots then using the putt preview to see how well i lined it up. Make sure your down swing and up swing are as straight as possible to take away the drag your getting on your shots. Playing will help you improve though so keep at it. Hope to see a full season in the PGA tour. Love your content

Can't believe I'm watching golf content but, with the lone exception of Madden, you can make pretty much any sports gameplay compelling to watch.
That was a beauty on 15, VERY well done.
For your first go on camera, that was fine work. You'll get better with practice, naturally. Obviously keep the assists on for now, they'll help you learn and get better.
BTW, punch shots are hard shots with a low trajectory and tons of roll, and flop shots are basically the opposite of that, a really high lob that, when executed properly, basically stops the ball on a dime when it lands.
Can't wait to see more of this series.

I always get good at these games quickly but never find the longevity to stick around for the hardcore experience of upping the difficulty or removing UI. Best of luck Cane and Cain!

I think the reason that there aren’t many shorts options is because shorts aren’t allowed on the actual PGA tour. Players are required to wear pants.

I remember when Adam Cain was the backup for the Bills and started a few games.

"I keep hitting it to the right, so I wonder if I should aim to the left." That's exactly what I thought IRL until I decided to actually fix my shot lol
The biggest part is learning to put backspin on those shots and it lets you control where it lands a lot more

You're not compensating enough for the terrain on your putts. You almost always need to go out further than you think you do. And I definitely vote for more of this series.

I think if you go outside the lines in whatever direction you hit, that’s where the ball is going to go. If you stay in the lines, the ball will go straight, if your outside the lines to the right, the ball will go right

I never knew this was what I needed
maybe if this series does become something long term my suggestion would be to keep it 1 round until you reach the PGA Tour and then maybe just go with 2 rounds. Logic would be the following:
1) it would add the cut while not making each tournament be the full weekend
2) by the time you got to the PGA Tour you should have played enough tournaments to know what you can cut out to make the footage still short enough for an episode
If you were to tell me when I woke up that there would be a new cane series, and a golf one at that, I would’ve called you foolish but here we are
To get the ball where you are aiming you need to get a perfect swing and a straight swing (the white column in the swing bar needs to have a blue straight line and the white above the swing par needs to be white) if you swing fast you end behind the hole and if you swing slow yiu end up in front of it
Very excited for this series!! If I could sugest something for "realism" sake, PGA Tour doesn't allow shorts, so it would be realistic to wear pants.

When the ball is in the air u have to quickly put either backspin or forward spin on the ball it depends if ur gonna overshoot then backspin but if it's going to short then forward spin
Check the circle on the right side of the screen. The straighter the blue line is, the straighter the shot goes. Keep it inside the white line.
