The casuals didn’t even watch this fight. They just heard about the knee situation and then rationalized it as a negative performance. People have gotten too used to Jon dominating the LHW division with ease that they became numb to it. It was the Jon Jones’ show for 10 years.

People saying Smith was salty is kind of ridiculous if you remember he could have easily not continued after that illegal blow by Jones! He kept fighting which shows 1 IMPORTANT THING! He honestly wanted to earn victory in the cage vs Jones, the Win itself was not more important than Smith’s own competitive integrity. Thats a true fighter, rather continue a losing battle than to be given any free or un-earned victories. And for Smith to say after or even before the fight that Jones was not “that good” or that “Jon Jones is human like everyone else” is not him being salty its a fighter believing in himself and his ability to make improvements even after losing, he’s trying to learn and or gain what he can from the loss. For any fighter to just say they are just not good enough or cant beat Jones after losing to him would mean they probably should not be in the UFC to begin with.. at that level if you dont have the belief in yourself that you have what it takes in you to be the champ in your weight class, well than your just going to get yourself hurt unfortunately. We have seen SO MANY fighters UFC & Boxing handle defeat poorly and conduct/present themselves awfully in the same situation as Smith was in, its a shame. So I tip my hat to the man, respect should be shown to those that earn it. Especially from us fans watching from OUTSIDE the cage!

That man definitely wants a body on his resume. Its a testament to how tough these guys are as a psychopath like jones tries to carry out the most extreme amount of damage possible but guys keep coming back up. All i know is that cant be me lol

Guys!.. i got a question! Do you think Jon Jones with this long inactivity & moving up in weight will be the same as this performance in the video?

He is definitely gonna lose a major advantage which is his insane reach advantage. But in a division where there aren't many grapplers besides Blades i expect him to rely on his grappling a lot. In a match up with Ngannou if he doesn't get kod i just can't see him lose

Yes I think coz he is the Bones. Some people are just elite of the elites and I think this applies to Jones, gsp, mighty mouse.

The way he intentionally failed to finish him just play with him more and knew he could afford the illegal knee... Jon Jones is legitimately deeply terrifying

It really annoys me when people bring this fight up like it was close if it wasn’t for that knee no one would say that. His two fights after Definitely where but don’t group this one with Anthony smith in there with Thiago and Reyes

It's truly remarkable how elusive perfection is.. McGregor and Jones without their own personal self destruction would be just that; Perfection. Shame we never got a chance to witness.

McGregor had zero ju Jitsu and average wrestler plus he can’t defend calf kicks he was never perfection he was like Ronda Rousey ahead of his time
