I have all these books lol. You're right they were very helpful especially Jenna's I followed here on youtube aswell. My problem was that everyone kept saying you need to paint on 100% cotton paper which became too expensive for me, then I discovered wonderful Gouache which I could paint on any substrate and can be used as a watercolor all the way to acrylic affects ❤
All of them! Fab! Jenna's was so helpful when i first did the exercise. Shame that i cant find the later exercises as i did them on sheets instead of in a sketchbook. I must admit i am struggling with a low cotton watercolour paper at the moment. Im using it for inktober at the moment and its not going well 😅 I should have picked the 100% cotton sketchbook. I am still learning with gouache, I have both regular gouache and acryl gouache and a few books i've been using to try and familiarise myself with it. I need more hours in the day! Which gouache do you use?
Glad you like them! There are so many out there but these are my favorite bunch. I have a few other ones for specific subjects like portraits etc but really these are all you need!

There are ALOT, and i found alot were repetitive of the same information (mostly aimed at the basics and beginner stuff), so the last year or so i've been on the hunt for books that cover the topics i was after. Finally settled on these books after a few amazon returns over the year 😅Yes do! Honestly that is my favorite one, she explains things so well, i think she had a youtube video where she discusses the concepts in that book. Shes amazing!
Oh my goodness you had me at books! I have two of your recommendations and have seen some pages of the big chunky one. I love to flip threw off and on although I have to say I’m not good a doing deep dives.
What type of books do you practice in? I love that you have all of your watercolor practice pages together! Mine are all over the place on different pieces of paper.
I make them out of watercolour paper. I've got a video on my channel from about a year ago. It's not fancy as I'm amateur at videos 😅 but it shows how I make them.
The website is archive .org with no space. I can't get a link at the moment as the website is temporarily offline, probably maintenance. If you search the book name 'mastering atmosphere and mood in watercolour' it will come up. If you struggle to get it send me an Instagram DM.
Internet archive got hacked and last I heard we don't even know if everything will be able to be restored. It's awful because of not only all the wonderful old books but info for court cases stored there etc. the hackers that took credit for it also did a second attack that overloaded the site. I'm hoping they had backups of everything but it isn't looking good at this point. I'm hoping it will be back soon.
@spktme really?? That's such a shame. All the out of print books that will just be unaccessible or near impossible to find now. I hope they can find a way to overcome it. It's such an amazing resource for all sorts of books.

Yes i think some website have pdf extracts of the chunky book! I agree im will dip in and out of books for different chapters when needed!
