SA. 6: Chasing Hippos - Riding from charming Swazi Village to Hippo Haven in St Lucia

Join me on Day 6 of my South Africa motorcycle adventure as I journey from the charming thatched-roof villages of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) to the hippo paradise of St. Lucia, South Africa. This ride is packed with stunning scenery, cultural insights, and the promise of incredible wildlife encounters.
We start our day at the beautiful Hawane Resort in Eswatini, exploring the unique architecture and rich history of this small kingdom. We then ride through breathtaking landscapes, passing fertile highlands, picturesque towns like Manzini, and ancient rock art sites. We'll learn about Eswatini's fascinating monarchy and its deep-rooted traditions.
Our journey continues back into South Africa, where we keep our eyes peeled for wildlife along the way. Finally, we arrive in St. Lucia, a town famous for its high concentration of hippos and crocodiles. We check into our urban glamping site and even get a sneak peek at some hippos!
