    Just Gorgeous! Love your color choices. Sometimes I'll have to alternate from an airbrush, to blowing or what you have used. Lovely as gifts. The alcohol I purchase, because it is difficult is the MG Chemical Isopropyl alcohol electronic cleaner with attached straw that connects to the nozzle. It's 99.9%. I spray the alcohol into the small needle plastic bottles. I purchase through Amazon. The price is $16.97. 15.9 oz.
    It comes within a couple of days if that. I hope that helps even though this video is one month old. I've never designed anything on tile. I imagine it's a glossy surface? Well, I love your art. You've inspired me. 🥰👍🌷❤

    Gorgeous! Thank you again - I love watching you and you keep me trying. I am having issues with markers on tile (regardless it seems, of brand). The marker seems to interfere with the alcohol flow...? Instead of the alcohol flowing nicely as with ink, the alcohol 'gets stuck' and makes little jags in the line of ink. Humidity doesn't seem to be a factor. I use 99% alcohol. I've always used 99%. (FYI - I paid $40 for a gallon on Amazon - I know thats pricey but for me, worth it). So not sure what I am doing wrong but will try again. Oh! someone on youtube suggested moonshine (Everclear) for us alcohol inkers. Haven't tried that but at 190 proof thats 95% alcohol! A thought...Cannot buy it in every state though so might not work for everyone.

    • @VivoVintageDesigns
      @VivoVintageDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you BK. I'm not sure whats going on with your markers. These cheap markers I use work great on tile for me, but not so great on photo paper. The darker colors leave stains on the paper. Are you letting the alcohol sit for a few seconds to soften the ink before blowing it out? (just taking a guess at what the issue may be.) I may have to give the Everclear a try if I can find it in my area or shell out the $40 for the gallon because I'm running SOOOO low.

      Hi Panna. If you're using and airbrush, try lowearing the psi. You can also use the air brush to push those spindles back in by running the airbrush along the side of the petal toward the center. You can try different distances from the paper as well.

    Janette I have watched so many of your videos and you are amazing. I am into AI for several months and so many tiles, papers and ink used in trying to achieve something recognizable!!!
    So today I pulled you up again and decided to try the ink markers on tile. I pulled this video and did exactly as you did and then it came time to add ink and blow. You air brush made the most beautiful petal as did the hand blower of which I tried both. I can't get a petal going. it always splits into three or more fingers. My frustration is over the top. HELP😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

    • @VivoVintageDesigns
      @VivoVintageDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      What do you have your psi set at? It may be too high or you may not be using enough alcohol. When your petals start to split, you can blow on each side of your petal and blow it back together. Also, blow from behind you puddle of ink and alcohol and try using small spurts of air instead of continuous with the air brush. I hope this helps.

    • @VivoVintageDesigns

      Hi Nana. I find that it does make a difference. Where I live, I find that when its warm, its usually humid...they go hand in hand for the most part. The inks are so sensitive to either of those conditions. When it's really humid or warm, I usually use my dry palette to paint with the inks rather than my airbrush which only seems to compound the situation by pulling and spraying the moisture from the air it collects.

    I tried to buy the markers you suggested, but they were out. Bought some other ones, they say permanent. But the alcohol doesn't even melt the ink. I'm only using 94%, could that be why? Or, are the pens not supposed to be permanent? Thank you.

    I have just started learning to use alcohol inks , I have brought some really cheep inks and I have totally wasted my money. When I put a drop of 99% to blow the ink they all just run off the tile and they blend too much. Would this be because of cheap inks ?

    Hi could you please do a tutorial on how to seal alcohol ink on tile please.

    • @VivoVintageDesigns
      @VivoVintageDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a great idea. It all depends on how you want to use the tile. If you're going to use it as a coaster, I recommend 2 coats of kamar varnish and 2 coats of kamar UV protection. Once it's completely dry, use resin over it. Use blue tape on the back so the resin doesn't drip on the back of the tile. If the tile will be decorative. Just follow the first 2 steps with varnish and UV protection. I will try to get to a video on the process soon.😊
