😂😂😂 Paul, I’ve actually had this conversation! Given the availability of space, I’ve settled for getting fish and chips in France _whenever they’re available!_ But I think we also need an ongoing taste test _a la France_ so maybe it will be patisseries, croissants, baguettes… not sure yet, but bloody nice problem to have!
We. have received notice that our long-stay application to Sweden hs been approved...we are from USA
Congratulations! I understand that’s a longer process to obtain, how did you find the experience?
How long did they give you, if you don't mind me asking. Retirement looms and planning taking place 🙂
The experience was very nice. We submitted the material at the Embassy in Washington on December 14. We received a nice email from Sweden on January 17 asking for more insurance info and then they sent an email next day saying we have been approved.@@sailinghjem
From May 5 to November 2. That was as long as we could get medical insurance for.

As "You-tubers", dont you have the possibility to apply for long stay visas in several or all European countries?
I'm thinking of channels such as Sam Holmes, who did the same thing for the whole of the Schengen area, and Sailing Project Atticus, who did the long stay in Malta.
Really interesting question! Those guys are probably earning money from TH-cam, but I didn’t know that this could potentially make it easier to get visas. We’re a LONG way off getting anything from TH-cam 😆 but if one day it ever happened and we could do as you suggest, we’d be over the moon! I’ll be sure to have a look into it, thank you!
