When I was about 28, I went to a co-worker's pool party. Her teen son was watching this movie in the living room, and I found myself interested in watching this, with no sound (since I was outside), rather than paying attention to the food, drink and conversation. This either means that the movie is great enough to carry itself, or that I am severely lacking in social skills. Let's just say it's because the movie is great.
@@LittleLondonCottages There are 12 movies based on the book, A Cinderella Story. I believe this was the first or second one, but it's by no means the best one. The ones with Lucy Hale and Ashlee Hewitt are definitely better. I've watched all 12 at this point. The High Note is a more adult version in that the protagonist is a single mother. She coudn't have burned the will, because her Dad hid the will in the book before he died, Fiona didn't know where it was. Love that movie, there are so many out there and I love this one.
What I can’t figure out is why the dad would marry Fiona in the first place if he didn’t trust her to execute the will? Like, he must not have trusted her if he hid it in such an obscure place, right? I’ve thought way too hard about this, haha.
@@ThunderTaker1215 but that is a very good point .. he probably was aware of her nature, maybe he just married her, because he thought it would be good for his girl to have a mother .. or his love for his daughter was just greater and he wanted to make sure
Another variation of Cinderella that I really like is a bit heavier is Ever After with Drew Barrymore. It's a bit more drama well sprinkled with comedy,
@@themoviebud1988 I was literally looking for a reaction to Ever After a couple weeks ago,but nobody has done it yet! I’m so excited for that one to come out!
In the defense of Austin I had a friend once that didn't realize that his school friend was the same person who went with him to english classes in the afternoon. The friend was me. The lack of uniform, and my hair combed different confounded him
This movie shocked the hell out of me even when I first saw it and became obsessed with it as a teen. Even then, even though I didn’t know why, I knew there was something difference about the dynamic between the romantic leads and now as an adult I can see that it’s how genuine their anxieties feel with Sam disliking herself and Austin later being scared of having his vulnerability used against him. and also how yes, Austin is a harmless himbo. I mean, come on, I can barely name another teen high school romance where the “invisible” girl falls for the popular jock where the whole punchline isn’t that she falls for him “despite” his flaws. Sure, Austin is a bit dim especially in the diner scene after the dance, but he’s a sweet soul, who never tries to overstep his boundaries and who is a real romantic at heart. It’s a pleasure to watch their chemistry on screen and you’re right, the pre established relationship makes this movie. Carter is a treasure and Sam’s dad is a legend. Just so many examples of healthy masculinity in this movie and despite the cheesiness, I genuinely think it’s one of the best high school romances movies ever for that reason alone. SO freaking happy you guys reacted to this and we’re also pleasantly surprised by it.
I don't think I've ever seen a bad Jennifer Coolidge performance. The first thing I ever saw her in was Legally Blonde and I've been a fan ever since. She never disappoints.
@@themoviebud1988 Would you consider reacting to SANTA CLARITA DIET (zombie alert!), a brilliant show with ONLY 30episodes/20min long so you can finish it pretty fast! Drew Barrymore is such an amazing actress & we get the sexy TImothy Olyphant with his awkward smile in the perfect/worst situations... The beginning is a bit slow so please give it a chance, a few episodes and you will be hooked! Also WRECKED (Lost "parody") another brilliant show with also only 30ep/20min long! :)
fun fact the song they play during the football game is actually really sad. the song is called "hear you me" by Jimmy Eats World. the song is dedicated to two fans who passed. the two fans where big supports of them before they got popular and when the band was I town they would offer their home to the band. Also love this movie it supper amazing so glad you enjoyed and reacted to it
You guys are consistently so empathetic and thoughtful and intelligent about everything you say. I enjoy lots of reaction channels, and some others cover more media I like, but you guys have rapidly become my favorite specific reactor-people. Your values really show in how kindly and objectively you regard people and characters, and your social-issue-awareness always comes across as genuine common-sense compassion, instead of ever seeming performative or like a forced afterthought. You're just great dudes. Thank you for sharing your perspectives/example-of-how-to-be-good-humans with the world through this medium, and I hope no matter what you guys ever do in the future, that you continue being yourselves and feel appropriately proud to be yourselves. :)
The term you were looking for is "synchronized swimming". Cant wait for the rest of the Cinderella remakes reactions! Cant forget the one with Selena Gomez...but only for Jane Lynch and the Stepsisters. Not gonna ruin who plays those two. Iconic
Chad Michael Murray and Hilary Duff were both my early teen crushes among others. Sth I discovered watching this movie many times :D Also CMM seems very skinny for american football but I know that he was a football player in high school and considered playing in college before deciding to pursue acting. All I know about american football is through movies btw and they always portray players to be huge. So idk
It depends on the position being played. Almost all football players are big, but the really big guys play on the offensive & defensive lines. Quarterbacks can be CMM’s size, or smaller, as they generally either throw the ball to a receiver or hand it off to a running back. Wide Receivers are known for being fast & twitchy, so they’re usually built like track athletes, but can be CMM’s size or smaller. Some, rare, NFL receivers have been as short as 5’6” (172 cm), but they’re exceptional athletes & very fast.
It's pretty common for quarterbacks to be much smaller than a lot of the other players on the field. They don't need to be especially muscled or anything. Especially at the high school level. Being tall helps though.
Usually, partnership means that they're a partial owner in the business. So Sam did sell part of the dinner to Rhonda because she isn't just the general manager but a partner.
Btw, the gazebo was probably done up like that for a picture background, one thing about a dance is the pictures with the date, yourself, and then your friend group. I still have my stack of everyone’s various themed dances pictures…
The rain bit is because in the beginning they said there's a draught but Fiona was the only one using the sprinklers for the front lawn. So in a way it symbolises a new start for her, the end of the draught/ bad things happening.
Honestly this is probably one of the best live-action Cinderellas ever. The rain scene is one of my favourites! I always thought that scene was cute and well made.
The difference in venue definitely depends on how wealthy your school district is in the US. My prom was below a bowling alley and was student decorated, still had a blast with friends! But it definitely was no where close to this
ugh this is my favorite Cinderella rendition ever. Ella Enchanted is a close second! I love that they both take the basics of the story and have their own subversions that make the story unique.
I had this on DVD as a kid! It had an option where u could watch the movie while listening to the cast hang out and react to the movie. u couldn't see them but u could hear them commenting along as the movie played. The girl who farted in the pool talked about the mechanism they used to get the fart bubbles and Chad Micheal Murry told Hillary Duff she had nice coconuts during the costume montage when she popped up as a hula dancer 🤣
Despite being teenage boys when this came out, my friends and I still watched this movie. Loved it back then, and maybe like it even more now. It has aged incredibly well!
It really does need more recognition, this is one of the better remakes for Cinderella story. It beings me to this question are you Budz going to do 1997 Cinderella I think you might like it.
1. He absolutely is from Easy A. Tho i checked his age and he was 19 in this and would have been 25 in Easy A. Which sounds about right for casting teens in movies hoo boy. 2. The Pledge of Allegiance is bizarre, and most of us when we got to high school stopped saying it. We'd still have to stand though. (And ye we said it every morning from kindergarten to senior year of high school... 13 years.... bruh that's now half of my life.) 3. Pep rallies were never as exciting as they are in movies. I always tried to skip them lol. and 4. This is easily my favorite commentary from you two. Delighted by how much you both enjoyed it. Had an awful week and this really brightened everything! Thank you so much :D
18:20 in the States, unless you specify that you want sweet tea, "iced tea" is just black tea on ice with no sugar or anything added. No carbs. Just cold bitterness lol. Edit: 46:27 she may have been thinking of a clutch and tried to blend the two together to get closer to an actual purse/clutch?? That's my guess. Because women (usually) don't carry wallets outside of purses. Edit 2: she was absolutely on the cusp of being a MySpace Scene girl!!!!! I was 15 when this movie came out and she inspired me. Fast forward to today and I have weird hair, a septum, a nostril ring, and snakebites. She was definitely a girl crush for me!!!!!!
I’ll agree about the tea, unless you’re in the Deep South. As a lover of unsweetened tea, it was impossible to find tea in a restaurant/diner that wasn’t heavily sweetened. Like, you could stand a spoon up in it, lol..
Not really. The mum didn't kill the dad. The earthquake did. It's literally Cinderella. A horrible stepmother treats their stepdaughter like a slave after the father passes away and karma gets the stepmother and step sisters in the end. Also, Scar died at the end of Lion King. The Stepmother doesn't. The Lion King is a retelling of Hamlet. Cinderella is definitely Not Hamlet haha.
I immediately saw this film when it was out bc of being a huge Hilary Duff fan but ended up loving it on its own as a movie. In my opinion still the best modern style Cinderella movie, nothing has topped it in any of the sequels.
This movie is always memorable to me cause when this movie came out, my mom and I tried to watch it in theatres, but the (filmstrip?) caught on fire so they evacuated the theatre at the part where they exposed Sam publicly as diner girl. I never saw the end until years later. 😅
Was introduced to this movie by my mom since I wasn’t even born when it came out 😂, and loved it! Now I have all three of the Cinderella stories on dvd
love this movie so much.. however I’ve always been iffy about austins reaction when sam was essentially publicly humiliated (for literally having a job while in school). it took me a few rewatches to realise that he may have felt guilt at that point too, which may have caused him to react the way he did. he finally realised his cinderella was sam, someone he talked to many times since the night of the dance so I assume he was feeling guilty and embarrassed for his inability to recognise her, alongside other thoughts such as whether she was the one who exposed their emails etc. either way, a realistic reaction in my opinion
I love this movie and I can quote some lines- I had the movie on dvd 😂😂 and would rewatch it all the time. It’s the best modern remake of Cinderella. Can’t wait for you to react to ever after! That’s also a fave !
I LOVE your reactions guys, this is the first time im here this early, i love the fact that you guys are so aware of how some movies didn't age well or they don't have great messages for young people, makes me laugh every time you guys point it out. Keep the reactions coming.
fun fact both Julie Gonzalo and Chad Michael Murray are in this and Freaky Friday playing basically the same characters cause shes the blonde pupular mean girl and he's the main love interest, and the movies came out like back to back
When Fiona said Ed McMahon and the check for a million dollars, she was referencing a contest that people here enter to win money. Ed would surprise people at their doors with a huge check, balloons and a camera guy to record their reactions. My mom tried to enter it but it was such a hassle with the hoops they make you jump through to keep entering, she just gave up 😄 What Fiona said didn't even make sense because the winners are not notified that they won beforehand, so they could record their genuine reactions when they showed up to the door.
I love how nuanced your reactions are! You take the good for what it is but aren’t afraid to call out the bad/problematic aspects. Your reactions feel so safe because of it! This is definitely a comfort movie of mine so I especially love this one💜 I appreciate y’all, keep it up! 😌
I'm so glad that all of these "girl movies" are getting some credit. They may not be revolutionary, but they're still good. Societies hatred of girls and women makes everyone think these movies are straight trash, which just isn't true.
Other interesting Cinderella movie is Rags (Max Scheneider and Keke Palmer) and Another cinderella story (Selena Gomez and Drew Seeley the guy who's the singing voice for Zac Efron on HSM 1) i think they will be funny for a reaction/commentary♡
“I’m having a hard time believing this guy is captain of the football team” Hey my senior year was the year we had a perfect streak zero loss state championship- and the guy who did the literal winning backflip touchdown was a dude with the skinniest chicken legs I’ve ever seen- I don’t know if he was captain but he was 1000% the MVP most talented member of the team- he plays professionally for California now
its so refreshing to see guys who are so emotionally mature. I loved these kinds of movies from like ages 10-17 but the fact that you guys can give commentary while being so respectful to women and girls everywhere and calling out the douchebag behaviour is heartwarming.
In high school it’s really not uncommon for football players to be skinny. It really depends on what position they play too. For example, the defensive players are usually bigger than the offensive players. Defense takes the opposing team down while offense moves the ball. Leaner players are usually faster and can get the ball across the field faster and can move in between players easier. They’ll usually bulk up in college but not too much because changing their body types changes the way you play. I will say Chad Michael Murray makes more sense as a basketball player in One Tree Hill which came out a year before this but it makes sense to have him play a different sport since it was around the same time.
Pep rallies were the best. We would skip a class and fill the whole football stadium and watch the cheerleaders or step team (dance team pretty much) do their thing. There would be skits or games of smashing food to the teachers or principal. Good silly times when all my old friends had no worries besides the FCAT exam.
When you mentioned that Americans go all out for prom, I’m just here to say yes. Yes we do lol Usually you can’t even attend unless you’re a senior so imagine waiting all through high school to finally go & it’s not on campus. Depending on the school’s budget, they’ll rent out another location for the event. I’ve heard of proms taking place at the local banquet hall, a country club resort, or in the ballroom of the Queen Mary (ship). Even if you don’t get asked or you don’t have a date, some people go with a group of friends & the point is to find someone you vibe with at the event. Either way, it’s a good time.
so in american hish school, usually prom is in a separate venue (homecoming was always in the school gym, but prom was fancy and at an actual banquet hall) so the gazebo and the venue was probably mainly for weddings and stuff, which is why it looks so nice i used to work in a banquet hall and we'd often set up the night before a wedding so that the bride and her group could come early to check everything and make sure it was what she wanted before it was decorated - i can totally see a gazebo like that being decorated through multiple events, ours often had stuff set up for a while and was refreshed between events but not necessairly completely redone we NEVER had any kind of other dance at a banquet hall though, and usually irl they're not THAT nice unless the school has a lot of money from rich parents or something just tables for eating and a dance floor usually
Love this movie! And i think they did a really good job with the cast and how they portrayed the friendship between the male and female characters, as you guys say, not giving a excuse for him just being a friend💜 also really glad that we're gonna have a live
This was one of my favourite childhood movies. I was a massive Hillary Duff fan having watched Lizzie McGuire. I love your commentary, you guys always keep it real. If you take recommendations, can I suggest Knives Out? It’s a great murder mystery. Love, fellow Sydney sider 😊
My senior high school prom was in a LIBRARY. Pretty dreamy though because the decoratorations were beautiful, the dance floor they made for us was perfect size and there were tables and chairs everywhere. My class was about 400 students and junior about the same. So of the possible 800 students plus dates (lowerclassmen or non highschool) 500 tickets were sold. The Library was in the historical city center of our states capital city. So it accommodated everyone really well. It kind of felt like a whole gala.
You should DEFINITELY do more Cinderella movies in this series, because they are so much fun and your commentary is sure to be hilarious! It would also be great fun to see which ones you actually like, and which ones you might not... I mean, obviously take your time and spread them out while also doing other movies, but yeah... every now and again it would be fun for you to watch one of these! These three are the ones I would suggest: Another Cinderella story (Selena Gomez) A Cinderella Story - Once upon a song (Lucy Hale) A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits (Sofia Carson)
I saw some article that said the new Cinderella ‘broke the glass slipper’ for independent Cinderella’s and I had to point out my girl helped run a dinner AND got into Princeton besides helping her prince achieve his dream.
i loved this movie when i was younger; suffering under my step-father and struggling to stay in school. it's so refreshing to watch it now when all that junk is over.
As per the swanky dance: my school rented out the international building of ...something or another... for our prom. Our tickets were insanely expensive, but I can honestly say this movie is comparable to swankiness of my prom.
Grease at no additional charge simply means it's a burger and fries kind of dinner. What's sometimes known as a greasy spoon. Where food is amazingly delicious but you need to wipe your hands and mouth constantly
Y’all do a very good job at finding a relatable take on movies that I probably wouldn’t have watched otherwise 💖 sending good vibes that you can weather the storms.

This is my personal favorite rendition of a Live Action "Cinderella" movie.
Edit: although you have a solid argument that he should have known she was "Cinderella", there's 3 contributing factors that I think could be a reason for him not thinking it was her.
1) She was working at the diner the night of the prom, hence he might have thought she wasn't at the dance, hence not suspecting her.
2) I think the movie does a good enough job hiding her identity with her clothing style, her hair, her persona.
3) Their first meeting at the prom was realistically the first time they ever spoke 1 on 1, and for a school with 3500 people, he'd definitely not recognize her just from her height and voice for the next time they'd meet
Plus she was practically invisible to him before that

On the whole "How do you not recognize her" thing. In the original she doesn't even wear a mask or anything and he still has to search the damn kingdom for her.

@@ThunderTaker1215 but that is a very good point .. he probably was aware of her nature, maybe he just married her, because he thought it would be good for his girl to have a mother .. or his love for his daughter was just greater and he wanted to make sure
@@ThunderTaker1215 maybe the Dad realized how Fiona really was after he married her, but died before he could divorce her.
Maybe the father loved the step mom but just not as much as his daughter
Another variation of Cinderella that I really like is a bit heavier is Ever After with Drew Barrymore. It's a bit more drama well sprinkled with comedy,
We’re doing that one soonish as well 😊 - Sam
I’ve always thought A Cinderella Story & Ever After are the best of the many Cinderella trope films.
@@themoviebud1988 omg!! I can’t wait!!
@@themoviebud1988 I was literally looking for a reaction to Ever After a couple weeks ago,but nobody has done it yet! I’m so excited for that one to come out!
@@themoviebud1988 oh how exciting! I love that movie!!
"Doesn't she suck?" "She does suck, but he's looking for that" - I ALMOST DIED LAUGHING 😂
Ooooh, that movie is actually great! And don’t worry, your audio sounds fine to me 👍🏼😊
Thanks Soph! I tried haha 😁 - Sam

That Teacher who says “That’s a terrible shirt.” has no sense of boundaries.
Her constantly flirting w their other friend 🤢
Yeah, I'm surprised they did not catch on to that. She was weird asf.
Teen Movies need to stop normalising falling in love with bullies. That’s a toxic relationship that we don’t need.
fun fact the song they play during the football game is actually really sad. the song is called "hear you me" by Jimmy Eats World. the song is dedicated to two fans who passed. the two fans where big supports of them before they got popular and when the band was I town they would offer their home to the band.
Also love this movie it supper amazing so glad you enjoyed and reacted to it
Wow I didn't know that. I actually love that song and one of the big appeals (amongst many other things) about this movie is the soundtrack :)
I second that
I have the same sentiments. This is why I always come back to this channel.
you've worded exactly why i enjoy this channel so much
The term you were looking for is "synchronized swimming".
Sth I discovered watching this movie many times :D
Also CMM seems very skinny for american football but I know that he was a football player in high school and considered playing in college before deciding to pursue acting.
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 huh, thanks for the info :)
It's pretty common for quarterbacks to be much smaller than a lot of the other players on the field. They don't need to be especially muscled or anything. Especially at the high school level. Being tall helps though.
I love Carter and Sam's friendship, it is very wholesome
My favorite movie friendship ever. Always wanted my own Carter as well.
Usually, partnership means that they're a partial owner in the business. So Sam did sell part of the dinner to Rhonda because she isn't just the general manager but a partner.
Stepmother: (literally has her own tanning booth)
Also Stepmother: “You need to stop being so self-centred…”
Ikr??
Btw, the gazebo was probably done up like that for a picture background, one thing about a dance is the pictures with the date, yourself, and then your friend group. I still have my stack of everyone’s various themed dances pictures…
Ah yeah, that makes sense. I do not believe that’s a thing here, but maybe things have changed 🤷♂️ - Sam
But it definitely was no where close to this
Chad Michael Murray and Hilary Duff coming together is the coming together of teen star icons who aged well.
ugh this is my favorite Cinderella rendition ever. Ella Enchanted is a close second! I love that they both take the basics of the story and have their own subversions that make the story unique.
I love how every single time the guys upload I have no issue draining my data like I'm not a broke 18 yr old 😂😂😂love the banter every time 🌈
Do you at least turn down the quality? Being broke is zero fun.
Thanks so much for the support, of course 😊 - Sam
I had this on DVD as a kid! It had an option where u could watch the movie while listening to the cast hang out and react to the movie. u couldn't see them but u could hear them commenting along as the movie played. The girl who farted in the pool talked about the mechanism they used to get the fart bubbles and Chad Micheal Murry told Hillary Duff she had nice coconuts during the costume montage when she popped up as a hula dancer 🤣
Despite being teenage boys when this came out, my friends and I still watched this movie. Loved it back then, and maybe like it even more now. It has aged incredibly well!
Awww! I'm glad you felt ok sharing that.
The musicians were prob packing up after a wedding ceremony it seems like a massive venue so prob have more then one ballroom for events.
51:54 I still can't quite figure out how exactly Shelley thought that this would win Austin back.
It really does need more recognition, this is one of the better remakes for Cinderella story. It beings me to this question are you Budz going to do 1997 Cinderella I think you might like it.
wdym it' a very popular movie haha. It's probably the most popular remake.
13 years.... bruh that's now half of my life.)
3. Pep rallies were never as exciting as they are in movies. I always tried to skip them lol.
and 4. This is easily my favorite commentary from you two. Delighted by how much you both enjoyed it. Had an awful week and this really brightened everything! Thank you so much :D
I never interpreted it as Austin believing Shelby's telling of the story but rather he was just too embarrassed by the whole thing to do anything.
Sam Montgomery invented rebelling against Hustle Culture and that’s why I love her.
This film is technically ‘The Lion King’. Jennifer Coolidge is Scar, Hilary Duff is Simba and the Dad (who’s hot btw) is Mufasa.
@@Orion_TheyThem It’s not exactly that, obviously. But it’s just my interpretation.
@@PokhrajRoy. again, it doesn't add up, though. The Stepmother isn't killed at the end like Scar was. And Scar was never Simba's stepmother. 🙃
@@Orion_TheyThem Comeuppance happened to both characters. One died and the other went to community service.
@@PokhrajRoy. that also happens in the original fairytale, too, though??? That one thing doesn't make this like Lion King, my guy. 🙃🙃😂
I immediately saw this film when it was out bc of being a huge Hilary Duff fan but ended up loving it on its own as a movie. In my opinion still the best modern style Cinderella movie, nothing has topped it in any of the sequels.
So THIS is where the "laugh out loud" tiktok sound is from!
This movie is always memorable to me cause when this movie came out, my mom and I tried to watch it in theatres, but the (filmstrip?) caught on fire so they evacuated the theatre at the part where they exposed Sam publicly as diner girl. I never saw the end until years later. 😅

love this movie so much.. however I’ve always been iffy about austins reaction when sam was essentially publicly humiliated (for literally having a job while in school). it took me a few rewatches to realise that he may have felt guilt at that point too, which may have caused him to react the way he did. he finally realised his cinderella was sam, someone he talked to many times since the night of the dance so I assume he was feeling guilty and embarrassed for his inability to recognise her, alongside other thoughts such as whether she was the one who exposed their emails etc. either way, a realistic reaction in my opinion
I love this movie and I can quote some lines- I had the movie on dvd 😂😂 and would rewatch it all the time. It’s the best modern remake of Cinderella.
Can’t wait for you to react to ever after! That’s also a fave !
No worries, that’s definitely on the list. All the best Cinderella movies will be done 👍 - Sam
I love the the fairy godmother character in this movie, giving her the wedding dress and helping her move out was so sweet💞
It was a very original spin on it
I LOVE your reactions guys, this is the first time im here this early, i love the fact that you guys are so aware of how some movies didn't age well or they don't have great messages for young people, makes me laugh every time you guys point it out. Keep the reactions coming.
Thanks so much 😊 - Sam
Movies with Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Olsen Twins e Amanda Bynes make my childhood
fun fact both Julie Gonzalo and Chad Michael Murray are in this and Freaky Friday playing basically the same characters cause shes the blonde pupular mean girl and he's the main love interest, and the movies came out like back to back
When Fiona said Ed McMahon and the check for a million dollars, she was referencing a contest that people here enter to win money. Ed would surprise people at their doors with a huge check, balloons and a camera guy to record their reactions. My mom tried to enter it but it was such a hassle with the hoops they make you jump through to keep entering, she just gave up 😄
What Fiona said didn't even make sense because the winners are not notified that they won beforehand, so they could record their genuine reactions when they showed up to the door.
“This is a himbo appreciation channel”
Oh thank god
I love how nuanced your reactions are! You take the good for what it is but aren’t afraid to call out the bad/problematic aspects. Your reactions feel so safe because of it! This is definitely a comfort movie of mine so I especially love this one💜 I appreciate y’all, keep it up! 😌
I think my favorite part about this movie is the fact that Austin does the call back to the drought at the end
I'm so glad that all of these "girl movies" are getting some credit. They may not be revolutionary, but they're still good. Societies hatred of girls and women makes everyone think these movies are straight trash, which just isn't true.
This movie along with Ella Enchanted (the book more so than the movie) are my favourite Cinderella retellings! So excited to see your reaction
Damn… as a Melissa who usually chooses violence over kindnesses… I feel acknowledged and represented by your intro. Thank you.
Other interesting Cinderella movie is Rags (Max Scheneider and Keke Palmer) and Another cinderella story (Selena Gomez and Drew Seeley the guy who's the singing voice for Zac Efron on HSM 1) i think they will be funny for a reaction/commentary♡
My biggest flex is that this movie was filmed at my high school 🙂 it was filmed at Monrovia High school
This movie and "Ella enchanted", are my favorites Cinderella's movies remakes
That's the iconic Regina King! She's in Miss Congeniality 2 maybe you recognise her from that? She's a great actress! 💜
“I’m having a hard time believing this guy is captain of the football team”
Hey my senior year was the year we had a perfect streak zero loss state championship- and the guy who did the literal winning backflip touchdown was a dude with the skinniest chicken legs I’ve ever seen- I don’t know if he was captain but he was 1000% the MVP most talented member of the team- he plays professionally for California now
The writer of this movie kept the juiciest line for Jennifer Coolidge. It’s the best! 😂
_A Cinderella Story_ is THAT iconic.
Pep rallies are basically like celebrations to get people hyped for the games.
its so refreshing to see guys who are so emotionally mature.
Omg I LOVE this movie. Can't wait to watch your reaction !!Jennifer Coolidge makes any movie better
She really does 😂👌 - Sam

7:57 He was in ‘Easy A’. I think he played a teenager for quite a while. (Edit: Stef called it out)
Pep rallies were the best. We would skip a class and fill the whole football stadium and watch the cheerleaders or step team (dance team pretty much) do their thing. There would be skits or games of smashing food to the teachers or principal. Good silly times when all my old friends had no worries besides the FCAT exam.
We would have ours in the gym lol
@@moonlightprincess449 there too when it was raining.
When you mentioned that Americans go all out for prom, I’m just here to say yes. Yes we do lol
Usually you can’t even attend unless you’re a senior so imagine waiting all through high school to finally go & it’s not on campus.
Yayy I love this movie, time to get some snacks and settle in 😂✨
Hope you enjoy 😊 - Sam
I know it's like a guilty pleasure kinda movie, but tbh it's my favorite (aside from the original animation).
so in american hish school, usually prom is in a separate venue (homecoming was always in the school gym, but prom was fancy and at an actual banquet hall)
so the gazebo and the venue was probably mainly for weddings and stuff, which is why it looks so nice
i used to work in a banquet hall and we'd often set up the night before a wedding so that the bride and her group could come early to check everything and make sure it was what she wanted before it was decorated - i can totally see a gazebo like that being decorated through multiple events, ours often had stuff set up for a while and was refreshed between events but not necessairly completely redone
we NEVER had any kind of other dance at a banquet hall though, and usually irl they're not THAT nice unless the school has a lot of money from rich parents or something
just tables for eating and a dance floor usually
These three are the ones I would suggest:
Another Cinderella story (Selena Gomez)
A Cinderella Story - Once upon a song (Lucy Hale)
A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits (Sofia Carson)
I saw some article that said the new Cinderella ‘broke the glass slipper’ for independent Cinderella’s and I had to point out my girl helped run a dinner AND got into Princeton besides helping her prince achieve his dream.
i loved this movie when i was younger; suffering under my step-father and struggling to stay in school.
it's so refreshing to watch it now when all that junk is over.
I'm glad is over ♥️ hope you're doing great!! 🤗
Glad things have improved for you 😊 - Sam
Fiona gaslight gatekeep girlboss IM SCREAMING THATS HILARIOUS 😭😭
As per the swanky dance: my school rented out the international building of ...something or another... for our prom. Our tickets were insanely expensive, but I can honestly say this movie is comparable to swankiness of my prom.
Grease at no additional charge simply means it's a burger and fries kind of dinner. What's sometimes known as a greasy spoon. Where food is amazingly delicious but you need to wipe your hands and mouth constantly
I so relate to your love for Jennifer Coolidge, she is truly a treasure no matter what role she’s playing 😊
One of my favourite childhood movies!!! So happy you guys are reacting to it!
