Congrats on the six years! Crazy how time flies. Great way to celebrate with some Priest! Looking forward to seeing them on this tour in October. Seeing Maiden and Priest on back to back nights!
If that’s your only complaint I’ll take it 🤣 Yeah my real life just gets in my way sometimes lol. The bonus with only one video every 7-10 days is I don’t get burned out, a few channels that I used to watch have dropped off over the past 3 years. Honestly, all people want is consistency. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment 🤘 See you soon ~ Darcy
Congrats on 6 years brother. This has been a channel I don’t think I’ve missed a video on since I found you. Continue feeding us all things metal!👊🏻 and look foward to another 6 years ! What a ranking, don’t wanna use the word shocked or surprised, but the new one has really hit you hard. I absolutely love it too , it’s so damn good. Our 1’s are exactly the same..stay well friend, keep spinning the shield!. BTW, there Johnny B Goode cover smokes!!! 😂
Interesting ranking Darcy. Great effort! Painkiller will always be my N.1 Priest album. I am one of the few who consider Nostradamus to be a great record and i often revisit it. Invincible Shield is so far my album of the year. Cheers my friend 🍻.
Congrats on six years, Darcy! The Invincible Shield CD still hasn’t left my car. That dual guitar harmony toward the end of the title track makes the hair on my arms stand up every time! Hope you get to see them in 2024! 🤘🏼🍻
Congratulations on your channel's 6yr Anniversary. Definitely one on the best channel's & i never miss a video. Judas Priest...what a band & so many killer albums. My top 5 don't change. 1. Sad Wings of Destiny 2. Stained Class 3. Painkiller 4. British Steel/Sin after Sin 5. Screaming for Vengeance 🤘 from 🇦🇺
Joyeux anniversaire pour ta chaine Darcy. My first concert was Judas Priest (Point of entry tour) with Def Leppard (High'n'dry) opening in 1981. All 2 bands were mindblowing. Changed my life forever. My favorite Judas Priest album is British Steel.
Darcy, congrats on 6 years. I really enjoy your videos. My bottom 5: 19. Demolition, 18, Point of Entry, 17. Rocka Rolla, 16. Turbo, 15. Jugulator....my top 5: 5. Screaming for Vengeance. 4. Stained Class, 3. Sad Wings of Destiny, 2. Painkiller, 1. Defenders of the Faith
Hi Darcy. Congrats for the six years! I love Demolition and Jugulator. I became a Priest fan around 1999, so Demolition was my first new Judas Priest release.
Congrats on your anniversary👍always watch and enjoy your videos.I would say "Invincible Shield"is the album of my life,it's perfect for me and believe me i have a lot of music in my collection. Judas Priest pushed every album in my collection back for one position.Cheers mate🤘
I totally understand why that happened to you, just incredible album this late in their career! Bring on the 20th studio album! Thanks for all the time you spent with me, always appreciated 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Darcy. Really nice celebration video🎉. Always cool ranking videos. And i agree about the debut by GREAT WHITE, super album, cool you saw them in 84. By the way CLOSE TO ME from Demolition is one of my fave Judas Songs ever. Very emotional. Amazing imo.
Judas Preet is one of the best metal bands ever I saw them on this last tour in Syracuse, New York and it was amazing and Darcy your the man I love watching ur channel and keep up the great stuff!!!
great to see your updated rankings for the mighty Priest and congrats on the anniversary Darcy. I’m in a minority amongst Priest fans as I feel their 70s output is unmatched. Stained Class followed by KM are easily my two favorites. Personally, I love POE as well as Rocka Rolla and unlike the majority of fans, I find SFV to be unbelievably overrated. But to each their own, that’s the beauty of seeing different lists/opinions. Keep up the good work Darcy!
Congratulations on your 6 years of "Darcy Six Strings Nine Lives"! Another great ranking of one of my fave bands! The first album I heard and bought was Sad Wings Of Destiny, which holds a special place in my heart. I have to take the time one of these days to listen to all the albums and come up with my list of fave to least fave JP albums. Off the top of my head, in no special order are, the already mentioned SWOD, Sin After Sin, British Steel, Screaming For Vengeance, Painkiller and Firepower. Keep up the great shows, looking forward to at least another six years! Cheers🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Congratulations on 6 years buddy, you have been quite an inspiration to a lot of us middle aged metal heads on TH-cam. Your channel has been such a resource for finding “new” bands that I missed in my youth. Most importantly, thanks for being a friend. Stay heavy brother!🤘🤘
Thank you for the kind words that means a lot! Like I said a few dickheads lol, but overall I get tons of inspiration just reading the comment section! Thanks as always brother 🤘 Tty soon :))

I'm truly amazed that you're able to rank Judas Priest's entire discography, Darcy! That must've been difficult. Happy Anniversary to you as well! Always enjoyed watching and commenting on your videos when I get the chance.
Congrats on the 6 years Darcy, here’s to another 6! I have tickets to see Judas Priest in September in Niagara Falls. It will be my first time seeing them. I’m really looking forward to it.

Hi Darcy!!! Congrats on 6 years. That was one hell of a task ranking the 19 studio albums.... i think i discover them around 83/84 not sure enough. The cool thing about many of those 80's albums is that they always through in a "hard rock" song like "Devil's Child" or to me "Love Bites" should fit perfectly in Turbo. cheers and be well
British Steel was my introduction to Judas Priest. I remember buying the cassette. Back in the day, the record stores let customers bring the cassette to the counter to listen to a track or two on headphones before deciding to buy it. “Breaking the law” was all I had to hear. The cassette was in my Walkman before I left the store. Good memories!
Great video, as always Darcy. My #1 will always be Painkiller, that was my discover the band moment. I really appreciate "hanging out" with over the last few years, heres to many more!
19. Jugulator 18. Demolition 17. Rocka Rolla 16. Redeemer of Souls 15. Angel of Retribution 14. Nostradamus 13. Ram it Down 12. Turbo 11. Point of Entry 10. Sad Wings of Destiny 9. Firepower 8. Killing Machine 7. Sin After Sin 6. Stained Class 5. Painkiller 4. British Steel 3. Defenders of the Faith 2. Screaming for Vengeance 1. Invincible Shield
Man , you're making me feel old .... 6 years flew by . Hard thing to do ranking J.P ... Pretty much in agreeance with you except 'Point Of Entry' at 2 IMO . Cheers Darcy . Great year so far with the mighty trad metal bands making huge albums ... Saxon , Priest and Accept . 🤘🤘🤘
Congrats on the six years and heck with the haters! Great list! As for my list...I...don't actually have one for Priest. The only Priest albums I don't really listen to at all are Rocka Rolla and I AM NOSTRADAMUS!!! I inexplicably enjoy Demolition, though it is very much a product of its time, though not as much as most other Priest releases. Everything else is in heavy rotation basically all year round and trying to rate them would be like picking my favorite of my kids. I legitimately even love Turbo. I said it and I don't care who knows it! Great video as always and congrats again.
As usual, another great ranking. I love "Blood Red Skies" too! I'd flip-flop Screaming and Defenders. I discovered them in '82. Otherwise our rankings are pretty close. Probably one of the few legacy bands still putting out superior product. Priest!!!
I took myself back to the 70s and early 80s and thought about what i was playing at the time. Thats when i really got going on the bands like Priest and Kiss. At first i was complaining thinking they werent heavy enough but when you compare them with what I actually heard at that period of time they are absolutely unbelievably heavy. I'm guilty of always forgetting the 5 year age gap between us too abd things changed fast back then. Its totally understandable they are your favourites really. I play them once every two or three weeks. I dip into something different each time and with them being on my radar with Ram it Down coming out after i got into metal thats very high for me. Ill have a stab at my top 3... Firepower Painkiller Ram it Down Turbo would be higher than most people would place it too. I still like the new one but I haven't wanted to play it as much as id expect tbh. Congratulations on 6 years. 6 years and its been great having you as a friend 🤘🥰
Yeah I know I am the oldest ride in the park, but I still got the longest lines …. Whoooooooo! Hope to have beer with you in real life someday soon 🍻 Best wishes to you & Julie
Darcy Thsi was my first concert as well. Here at the Philadlphia Soectrum and Great White was the opener on the tour. My first Priest album was Screaming for Vengance, but my mom wouldn’t allow me to go down for that shwk. I think Maiden might have been.the opener then. Glad to see the they fought back my all-time favorite JP song for this tour….you Don’t Have to Be Old to Be Wise!
Oh man I love You Don’t Have To Be Old To Be Wise, when that opening riff kicks in & then the drums … gives me the chills taking about it! So cool you saw them on that tour, we are so lucky! Thanks for the awesome comment 🤘 Stay Heavy Duty ~ Darcy
Hey Darcy! Very cool Priest screaming for vengeance was my first live show I wanna say coney hatch opened? Seen them again in the 2005…Anthrax opened caught a pick from Scott Ian fantastic show, from a life time priest fan point of entry is in my top 10 love that album!
Great ranking. Your top 5 is quite solid, although I would have Painkiller higher. Congrats on 6 years. My ranking: 1. Screaming for Vengeance 2. Painkiller 3. Defenders of the Faith 4. British Steel 5. Invincible Shield 6. Firepower 7. Stained Class 8. Hell Bent for Leather 9. Sad Wings of Destiny 10. Angel of Retribution 11. Redeemer of Souls 12. Sin After Sin 13. Jugulator 14. Demolition 15. Ram it Down 16. Point of Entry 17. Rocka Rolla 18. Turbo 19. Nostradamus
Hi Darcy great ranking. I’d have Nostradamus below Angel Of Retribution. Can’t get into Nostradamus. Invincible Shield is their best since Painkiller. Not as into Firepower as you but I do like it. I prefer Painkiller though. My number 1 is Killing Machine and Martin Popoff is the only person I know who agrees. It’s a bit of an odd choice for number one but you did have it slightly lower than i expected but that’s cool, most of these albums are great
Awesome ranking video Darcy!! They played Saints In Hell on this tour, I saw them in Kalamazoo MI 04 May 2024. My Top 5: 1 - Painkiller 2 - Defenders Of The Faith 3 - Screaming For Vengeance 4 - British Steel 5 - Invincible Shield For me, Redeemer and Jugulator I would be put a lot higher whereas Point Of Entry and Sin After Sin I’d place quite a bit lower Cheers Ed
The list changes time to time, but in general my Priest rankings go like this : 1. Painkiller 2. Stained Class 3. Defenders Of The Faith 4. Screaming For Vengeance 5. Sad Wings Of Destiny 6. Invincible Shield 7. Firepower 8. Sin After Sin 9. Angel Of Retribution 10. Redeemer Of Souls 11. Hellbent For Leather 12. British Steel 13. Point Of Entry 14. Rocka Rolla 15. Ram It Down 16. Turbo 17. Nostradamus 18. Jugulator 19. Demolition (The only one I actually hate)
I’m with you on Demolition, I don’t hate many albums but that’s as close as it gets lol. Thanks for watching and sharing your ranking 🤘 Stay Heavy Duty ~ Darcy
Fantastic! Really enjoyed all the care you took in making the video! Unlike most people who almost immediately ranked the new album, you waited a few months to make sure that you got it right! I’m not as into the 70’s stuff as much as you (although killing machine is my favorite song) cool that you got to see them on the nastradamas tour cause touch of evil live is my favorite live album of theirs! I love the way they blended the newer songs at the time with there classics. I’ve always thought that was a great set! I would probably put turbo and painkiller and redeemer of souls higher and put most of the 70’s stuff a bit lower, otherwise our rankings are virtually the same (I’d probably go screaming for vengeance at number one) anyways cool video! I appreciate your content! You and mick Watkins are the most likeable metal guys on TH-cam ☺️👍
Thanks for the kind words & thanks for the great comment! Slow & steady we will build this channel the right way, I mean what’s the point of 12K subscribers & 130 views. People are smart, they can smell bullshit a mile away lol. Anyway thanks for hanging out with me 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
No bad album for me. Saints in Hell is without a doubt one of my favorite Priest songs. Had a chance to hear it live back in March. Anyway, congrats on these 6 years! 1. Stained Class 2. Sad Wings of Destiny 3. Sin After Sin 4. Killing Machine 5. Painkiller 6. Screaming for Vengeance 7. Defenders of the Faith 8. British Steel 9. Rocka Rolla 10. Point of Entry 11. Ram It Down 12. Invincible Shield 13. Firepower 14. Angel of Retribution 15. Redeemer of Souls 16. Jugulator 17. Demolition 18. Turbo 19. Nostradamus
Congrats on 6 years: 1 - Sad Wings of Destiny 2 - Point of Entry 3 - Stained Class 4 - Sin After Sin 5 - Turbo 6 - Screaming for Vengeance 7 - British Steel 8 - Defenders of the Faith 9 - Invincible Shield 10 - Firepower 11 - Ram It Down 12 - Painkiller 13 - Nostradamus 14 - Hell Bent for Leather 15 - Rocka Rolla 16 - Angel of Retribution 17 - Demolition 18 - Jugulator 19 - Redeemer of Souls I think my big problem with Redeemer is the production. To me, it sounds like they produced all of the aggression out of the music. My first Priest album was Turbo back in 86 and I think nostalgia might be why I ranked it so high. Point of Entry is actually the Priest album I tend to listen to more than any of the others, mostly for Solar Angels, but I like the rest quite a bit too. None of their albums are entirely bad, but all the ones in my top 10 are fantastic.
My Ranking: 1- Painkiller 2- Defenders Of The Faith 3- Screaming For Vengeance 4- Invincible Shield 5- Firepower 6- British Steel 7- Demolition 8- Jugulator 9- Angel Of Retribution 10- Redeemer Of Souls 11- Turbo 12- Ram It Down 13- Sad Wings Of Destiny 14- Killing Machine 15- Stained Class 16- Sin After Sin 17- Point Of Entry 18- Rocka Rolla 19- Nostradamus
Congratulation to 6 years of great videos. Saw the Priest this week and can only recommend everybody to go to their new tour if not done already, Priest never sounded as good as this time. Looks like Andy Sneap told the Sound Engineers how things have to sound and prevented them to turn the volume knob to the right after finishing of the sound check and ruin everything. I am not sure if the Metal God got some digital help or simply put in some hard time voice training but even the Painkiller sounded fantastic, I was very impressed.
Thank you very much 🤘 I’m glad you enjoyed the show, I’m really looking forward to seeing them on this tour. I can’t believe 40 years have went by since my first Judas Priest show 🛡️ Stay Heavy Duty ~ Darcy

@@curly_wyn Good to see Invincible Shield & Firepower break you’re Top 10. Priest & Saxon still going strong after all these years. Thanks for watching and thanks for sharing your ranking 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders of the Faith, Painkiller, Stained Class and Victim of Changes are my favorites, but i think every album by them is amazing execpt Demolition and i think some people give too much hate to albums like Turbo, Ram it Down, Point of Entry.. To me those albums are all amazing especially Point of Entry and the song Heading out to the Highway what a song and that videoclip where K.K. and Glenn are drag racing and Halford stands in the middle,Dave and Ian are watching them from distance.. i always shed a tear when watching this videoclip and wish i could go back to the 80s. I know this sounds cringy as hell but i dont care this is just how much i love this band.
Thanks for the awesome comment! Not cringy whatsoever, if you have room for me I’ll head back to the 80’s with you! It was the best time to grow up & I’d never trade it for anything. Thanks again 🤘 Stay Heavy Duty ~ Darcy
There 18 and 19 th studio albums were really impressive and really put them in my opinion the best metal band of all time placing them above Metallica. I believe Faulkner brought some new and great ideas to the band .
Nothing on the back of that one, the front has all the album covers up until World Wide Live I think. Hope all is well your way, we are just recovering from a hail storm that happened last Sunday, golf ball sized! Now I know why I have insurance lol. Have a great July long 🤘 Stay Heavy Duty ~ Darcy

@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 It's such a strong album... and a lot of fun. it may keep rising. With a catalogue as extensive and varied as this it can all flip flop. On any given day British Steel could go from 13th to top 5.
I was just a toddler during the Defenders tour but I’m glad you had a good time. I bet Priest was awesome but Great White is a very boring band to me. Enjoyed this video.
I would put Jugulator and Demolition over both Rocka Rolla and Sad Wings which are both way too "70's rock" to me compared to what Priest would become later being more metal. I'd put them over Nostradamus too though the title track of that album is a monster. I would delete Love Zone off RID. I honestly have no problem with the JBG cover. LZ is way too cheesy. I actually really dig the bonus tracks for IS. They're all pretty killer songs. Usually bonus tracks are kinda crap.
I don’t mind a little cheese but I hear you on that one! I’m not sure if you’ve heard all the remasters they did a few years back, there is some good bonus tracks on some of those like Thunder Road & Fire Burns Below. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Congrats on the six years! Crazy how time flies. Great way to celebrate with some Priest! Looking forward to seeing them on this tour in October. Seeing Maiden and Priest on back to back nights!

Thanks very much & thanks for posting your ranking. Can’t go wrong with that #1. See you next time 🤘 Stay Heavy Duty ~ Darcy
Oh man I love hearing stories like that! Those were the days lol. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 🤘 Stay Heavy Duty ~ Darcy
Great video, as always Darcy. My #1 will always be Painkiller, that was my discover the band moment. I really appreciate "hanging out" with over the last few years, heres to many more!
Thanks brother, glad you’re here! The album you discovered a band on will always mean a lot to you 🤘 Great #1
Jugulator is my favorite Priest cd, I love it, harsh and humorless.

@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 I am also surprised that it became my No. 1. album from such a legendary band like Judas Priest.
Nice stuff as always. Congrats!
Thanks very much 🤘 Stay Heavy Duty ~ Darcy
Congrats on the six years and heck with the haters! Great list!
As for my list...I...don't actually have one for Priest. The only Priest albums I don't really listen to at all are Rocka Rolla and I AM NOSTRADAMUS!!! I inexplicably enjoy Demolition, though it is very much a product of its time, though not as much as most other Priest releases. Everything else is in heavy rotation basically all year round and trying to rate them would be like picking my favorite of my kids. I legitimately even love Turbo. I said it and I don't care who knows it! Great video as always and congrats again.
Another great video on my favorite band!
Thank you as always my friend! Have a great weekend & don’t forget to Stay Heavy Duty 😉
Firepower
Painkiller
Ram it Down
Turbo would be higher than most people would place it too.

Thsi was my first concert as well.
Heck yeah Coney Hatch! Money Bars 🎶 Swingin’ Stars. Always good to hear from another Point Of Entry fan. Thanks as always 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Great ranking. Your top 5 is quite solid, although I would have Painkiller higher. Congrats on 6 years.
My ranking:
1. Screaming for Vengeance
2. Painkiller
3. Defenders of the Faith
4. British Steel
5. Invincible Shield
6. Firepower

My Top 5:
1 - Painkiller
2 - Defenders Of The Faith
3 - Screaming For Vengeance
4 - British Steel
5 - Invincible Shield
For me, Redeemer and Jugulator I would be put a lot higher whereas Point Of Entry and Sin After Sin I’d place quite a bit lower
Cheers
Ed

I think my big problem with Redeemer is the production.
Unpopular opinion? Fight>Halford>Judas Priest
Still love Priest🤘
My Ranking:
1- Painkiller

I love the Ripper years as well.
Mine essentially were mostly throw them up in the air and how they land and that’s how I would rank them.
When you have that many great albums to choose for that’s probably a good method 😂

First to like 😂. My comment will follow 🍻.
They don’t call you Speedking for nothing 😂 Thanks as always, brother :))
There 18 and 19 th studio albums were really impressive and really put them in my opinion the best metal band of all time placing them above Metallica. I believe Faulkner brought some new and great ideas to the band .
Hey man. Anything on the back of that Scorps shirt? And Defenders is easily my favourite as well, The Sentinel being my favourite Priest tune.

On any given day British Steel could go from 13th to top 5.

great list that is sure to spark some debate. I feel for you in the comments. 🍻
Hey, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere 😂
