Great footage. We have been following this closely. We visited the resort on Tuesday last week. Wasn't quite expecting this to take place. Sad that it will be damaged!

Tuesday Vegas was really covered by the smoke clouds. When I went to work at 6 P.M. I stopped three times to get some video of the smoke cloud. ----- The only part of Las Vegas to get ash dumped on them, of course, is the west side of town so far. ----- But with the fire expected to continue for a few more days it is so sad to see a great recreational area such as Mt. Charleston reduced to rubble and ashes. ------ Rusty

Thanks for the video. ----- I should of taken my digital camera with me when I went to work Friday night. I work at Palace Station on the west side of Las Vegas. And on the 2nd level of the employee's parking garage is a great view of Mt Charleston. ----- The huge clouds of smoke drifted to the northeast and burnt debris could be seen coming down like rain in those huge dark clouds . ----- I hope none of the firefighters are injured are killed like in the Arizona fires. ----- Rusty

Thank you for providing us with this great, but also so sad video of thousand's-of-years-old Bristlecone Pine Trees going up in flames. I have put up a link of your video on my website TrailVista, (where I show the before as of November 1 - 2011). It should remind, and warn us, of what global warming (and us) is mostly to blame for. ...and again us, for the slow initial response. If it would have been caused by a terrorist attack, it would have been knocked down and out within hours! PJ.W

I live 10 minutes from the strip and the smoke is past being right above me. In other words, the clear blue sky is no longer above me, only to the south

104fingers, I took my camera to work Saturday and there was very little smoke to see. Hope the firefighters are getting the fire under control by now. ----- Unless it is spreading to the west, which I hope not. ----- Rusty
