Breaking is very important at a certain time. Find your driving rhythm and improve it. I hope you drive mainly on exit line.

Maybe he's trying to avoid the backmarker. He collided with the last backmarker. Perhaps it was the idea that he would retaliate.
Maybe he try to not let you use his draft, but ended up hurting his exit speed. Very weird
