    Honestly, after viewing dozens of Notion CRM tutorial videos (some of them even cost me money, e.g. Udemy), this is by far the best one! Practical. No fancy stuff. Straight to the point. Most importantly, it solves my problems!!! Subscribed after 5 minutes of viewing!

      Since you're in the roofing business, there's a chance that most of your clients are individual homeowners... how do you deal with this whole company vs people database
      One hurdle I always have with these CRM systems is that they have Companies+ contacts.. this is fine for vendors in my business but my customers are individual clients not tied to any business per se'

    • @OptiOppNotion
      @OptiOppNotion  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jzajzz You don't necessarily have to use the company database. Deals, tasks, etc. can be tied to just Contacts. You could also change the company database from "Accounts" to "Households".
      That's the beauty of Notion, you can adjust it quickly to meet your specific needs.

    @OptiOpp Hey Ben! Greetings from Panamá. Could you please help me out? In the minute 9:53 you say:
    "And so that means anybody who is tied to the Google account and is a contact will be owned by the person that we set the owner on the account level."
    Brother ! Would you be extra kind to elaborate a little on this? I would really appreciate it !
    Maybe because english is not my native language Im stocked there. I really need to understand the logic behind this.
    Anybody??

    • @OptiOppNotion
      @OptiOppNotion  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It mean whoever is set as the owner of the company is by default the owner of the contacts that work for that company. This makes it less difficult to maintain who owns contacts by not having to set each one individually.
      The owner property is important because it allows you to create filtered views for your employees.
      An example of how this is useful is you want to generate a list of contacts that works at companies Joe Smith has worked with in the past. By filtering the list by owner you can send a marketing email to all of these contacts talking about your most recent discount.

    • @OptiOppNotion

    • @OptiOppNotion

      You need to deactivate the product with a price and create a new one so that old deals stay intact with the correct discount percentages.

  • @The_Penrose
    @The_Penrose 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    very good work! One question, how do I follow up a contact when he/she changes company. For example my contact A changes from company X to company Y. How do I manage it to keep the history (previous email, previous position (in the same company as well), tasks, etc)?

    • @OptiOppNotion
      @OptiOppNotion  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You could create a separate property named “Previous Company” that is a relation property to the Company database. There would also be a field named previous title. Then tasks and emails, I think those would be fine as is. You could enter a date they left the previous company so you know those tasks and emails are associated with the old company if you wish.

    Thank you for this detailed and super hero video. It means a lot to me. I need to learn something special; What should we do when the product price is changed for same product? I duplicated the product for new price information, deactivated the old one. But I think, this is not sustainable. Do we must to duplicate product page in every price change for one product? Please let me know any solution for this.

    • @OptiOppNotion
      @OptiOppNotion  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you need to or else you older deals will be impacted with the new price and your revenue information might be inflated or deflated.

    • @OptiOppNotion
      @OptiOppNotion  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven't thought of a better way to do it yet but am all ears. Notion wasn't built specifically for CRMs with product purposes so it's definitely a workaround.

      You can use a task database and create views on it based on due date. Make sure the tasks are related to the account through the relation property.

    Great video, one question, what's the purpose of the deal line items database?¿ You can relate the products to the opportunities.

    • @OptiOppNotion
      @OptiOppNotion  ปีที่แล้ว

      Opportunity Line Items allow you to break down the products or services associated with a specific sales opportunity. This granular approach enables you to track revenue, quantities, and pricing for each product or service, providing a more accurate picture of your potential and actual revenue.

    This!!! One thing is to teach to use notion for personal or freelancers. Other is to teach it from an Enterprise perspective. Salesforce experience is here…. Thanks man!
    Do you think Notion can scale to automate sales process in prospecting and customer onboarding stage?
    In Salesforce i struggled to incorporate a“companies network”, for example to id a customer, their shippers, their consignees, and then work those shippers and consignees as leads/prospects but without erasing the initial relation as it must be kept to calculate business opportunities…
    Can’t find a way to sort it out besides creation unique data bases for each type of entity and duplicating data records……

    • @OptiOppNotion
      @OptiOppNotion  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At this time you cannot automate sales processes without the help of Make or Zapier.
      Sounds like you need to create a series of relationship properties to reflect all these relationships in Notion.

    I've a list of customers in database table. Now each customers have sub-page. And in that sub-page there's 1 database table which shows purchase made from me year wise.
    Now I want to have a sum of total revenue earned by me from various customers. Then how I can implement?
    If I do Roll-up, then it takes data from only 1 customers. How get sum of all customers?

    • @OptiOppNotion

    Hello! Thanks for the video. I see deals/opportunity to be similar to projects. What do you have in mind to differentiate them?Ie, I have Tesla | Notion Overhaul as a deal/ opportunity, but what do you then park the project under this deal / opportunity?. Thanks.

    • @OptiOppNotion
      @OptiOppNotion  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Deals / Opportunities are to track revenue or potential revenue for your business. Projects are for internal company projects or projects after you've secured a deal with a client.
      The projects would be tied to the Account, not the Opportunity.

    • @OptiOppNotion

      Yes, you can use a unique identifier and a path in Zapier. Use something like the user id in Facebook messenger (not familiar with their API so might be something different) and map that up on the Notion side. If a contact with that ID exists, the Zap path will read that and then not create the duplicate.

      Once you understand one software, others become much easier to understand. There are many things in common between software tools today such as how to write formulas, automation logic, etc.
