super helpful tutorial! Just two things I want to give feedback on: Start with the result so I now if this kind of Portal is something I am looking for. Second, for my taste it is too much zooming in and out.. too flashy for a tutorial where I want to focus and see at all times when we are in Notion :) keep it up!

To keep things simple is there an argument to make one database lets call it activities and an activity could be a tasks, meeting, weekly review etc. Tasks in themselves encompass many thinks to me, send an email, make a call, produce a quotation, research a client issue. In the same way I only have high level projects and they can be a sales opportunity, Client Issue, client onboarding, Monthly business review. I see a project as a set of activities over a period of time. Within my project structure I have stages which change dependent upon the type of project, try to keep it simple to 5 stages so I can see where each is on a KanBan. What your video gives me is that I can roll up time spent, could be many, on an individual activity and record it at the activity level. I can then roll up all those under a project if I am correct?

So there is no master template for the portal you share with clients? Just duplication?

  • @twalliance

Fab info, thanks.. but all that zooming making me dizzy!

Amazing tutorial! Very clean ! Question, is there a reason for not making the client portal page a database template that gets generated when a new project is generated ? I’m new but learning and see users do things differently - wanted to know if there’s a preference or something I’m missing . Thanks !

Thank you for this video I use it for my first client. I just have one problem. If I logged in as a Client: and as a client I want to add a task to a project, the entry field is empty. Is that how it works? So the client can't enter tasks to a project? am I as a builder only allowed to add tasks to the projects? And if I add tasks in the project page they won't show up in the task section. So did I do something wrong?

I am only starting to get the hang of things and I wonder. I just built a CRM that I am still changing and adjusting to my way of working, and I want to add a calendar that keeps me up to date with when to call up a client and what to do/talk about, any kind of task really. Which I can only choose one database as the source for so I went with Accounts as in that one I save las and next call and contents. Now I wonder if It could be possible to add and link that with such a client portal to use the accounts I have already in my CRM and have everything interlinked to make my workflow easier. I have SO much to learn still... Your videos are great and very helpful getting there! Thanks a bunch!

Very informative video thanks! Just one quick question, which software did you use to screen record your video? How did you get your mouse like that?

  • @mahdiemami557

Wow this is an incredible video on how to create a Notion Client Portal! Can't wait to show this off to my clients.

  • @tonedaflex

Thanks to the algorithm that brought me here, this system for managing activity with each client is very powerful. I am self-training with Notion to offer services in creating systems and workflows for clients. I am from Argentina, and I plan to create a TH-cam channel to showcase everything that can be done with Notion. Without a doubt, you will be a reference that I will mention when I present my own version in Spanish of what you have shown me. There are many Notion experts who provide great value, but most of them are English speakers, and the Spanish-speaking audience faces the language barrier. I hope to contribute by connecting your ideas and tutorials with the Spanish-speaking audience.

  • @nocodetrevor

    Great Video!

  • @amiradjadj9695

Amazing tutorial. Most Notion TH-camrs would sell this template for 20-40 bucks... Thanks for sharing!

  • @psStephen95

This is amazing, thanks. How does the calendar work with Notion calendar?

  • @sant0sch

Awesome tutorials, thank you for that - learned allot!

  • @Smaffs59

Can you have multiple time entries per task? Quite reasonable as you could be doing a few chunks of work to get a task done. Also can you manually override the timings of the time entry. You may not be at your computer when you do some work relating to a task.

  • @ShazaSalemva

Thank you very much for this tutorial, it was very helpful.

  • @andreusg8429

Awesome video. Thanks much! I believe I managed to recreate it, and in particular the Start Time button automation at first but, I seem to have done something to it and now when I try to set the button to create a new page and update Start Time (on Time Entries) I no longer have the option to update it to Now(). Instead, I only have the "Set property to "Pick a Date" option... any idea why Now() is no longer available and, how can I fix it? Thanks much, again!!
