@@Paunaldo I read the book start to finish and completed every practice test. I did it all in about a week right before the test and it was all very fresh. And when I say start to finish, I mean even the technical stuff in the front of the book about the test itself.

So happy that I came across your videos! I am 26 and Joining the Air Force as well. I’m a little nervous about the ASVAB but you’re advice helped a lot. I have the ASVAB for dummies book and so far so good I guess you can say. I am definitely going to try the book you mentioned just to have that extra help. Can’t wait to watch future videos. Congratulations on your passing score.

I’m also 26 and trying to join the Air Force as well but I’m a single mom. I used the ASVAB for dummies book and I didn’t really do too much in depth studying but I was able to get an 88. Right now I qualify for every single job but it could change once I got to MEPS for the physical examination! Def look at the electrical, mechanical, and shop sections because you’ll be able to have more job options if you do well on those sections as well. Good luck!

I wanted intelligence as well but one of my parents (dad) is undocumented so I wouldn’t qualify for a top secret clearance. My mom divorced my dad when I was 1 years old and so I didn’t even grow up with him and still to this day I have very little contact with him so it sucks that we can get disqualified for certain things based on things we have no control over. Definitely hoping to get into the medical field now.

I got a 75 or 76 on the practice test and I didn't study until the day before I took the test the real test but I did study for like 10 hours that day and just crammed. I knew what I knew when I knew what I didn't know so I just studied like crazy the things that I didn't know knowing that it would probably lose my score about five points. And that's what happened. @@Brittanylynnlewis back in 92 on the practice test I got a 77 on the practice asvab. I didn't bother studying until the day before. And that raised me up to an 81. When you were in the Air Force did you find that people were better educated based on the region in the country they came from. That was a real culture shock for me. I found that people from like the deep South especially rural areas we're incredibly uneducated. A lot of these people had taken their asvad three or four times till they passed and these were people who told me they were A and b students in high school. Who got through algebra 2. I think they have a just a different standard in certain parts of the country.

I borrowed the ASVAB For Dummies 2018/2019 book from the local library and studied for a while, then did some practice tests online before taking the PiCAT. Scored a 92 on the PiCAT, then went to MEPS to take the verification test but they ended up giving me the CAT-ASVAB instead. I scored a 95 on that one though, so I was happy. Definitely didn’t expect that high of a score. Thanks for sharing your tips with us!

I know its been a while but I have a question for the asvab. I want to be an aircraft mechanic what subject areas do I need to study. Because I have the kaplan prep 2020 2021 version. Would I need to study science, math, word, paragraph, and ect. Or for the job I want which is aircraft mechanic do I need to study the subjects that are required for it. Because I take my asvab in January and I would like to know? I know the AFQT score which I need to study which is easy.

I was in midterm week for college when I had to take my asvab so to be honest I did not study at all for the asvab and scored a 78. I purposely did not try on many of the sections like electronics and auto/body because I didn’t want those jobs so I thought if I didn’t do so well then they wouldn’t offer me those jobs as much. I definitely feel like I could of gotten at least in the high 80’s if I really tried and studied but it wouldn’t of mattered because I still qualified for every job in the AirForce

But I don’t know how to take the ASVAB test. So I had talked to a Navy recruiter and he’s willing to take me to MEPS to do my ASVAB and physical but I really don’t want to join the Navy. While at MEPs can I tell someone that I want to change to Air Force, would they let me? Would I have to stop MEPs and try again some other day? My recruiter is bad and takes his time but I want to enlist and be put on quick ship. I really don’t care what job I get. FYI I’m a senior in high school so I can’t change recruiters.
