    2 hours later mix again
    Add to 5 liters of warm water
    Water plants with regular water to get soil wet
    Then dilute one liter of liquid to 10 liters of warm water

    This was actually a good tip! I planted cucumbers several weeks ago... They germinated well and started well... Then go hit with a cold front and they stopped growing.... Still only had 2 leaves....
    I had some yeast and sugar so I tried it.... Mixed it up and next day dowsed my cucumbers... Cane out next morning and all had almost doubled in size and had 3 leaves.... Today they are again double in size!

    SAVE ALL your compost. Eggshells, coffee grinds, fruit peels cores seeds, cornsilk… Anything that biodegrades, stir a pile a couple times a year, I don’t even use a composter, dig down a foot and a half in the earth with a garbage can upside down with a trapdoor cut in the top, right in the middle of my garden. Spring time I take the bottom of the pile put it into pantyhose hang it in a bucket filled with water and air stone in an air pump. It’s a simple cheap and effective set up that gives me top quality nutrients whenever needed after 3 to 4 days take the pantyhose out and squeeze all the water out then I fill spray bottles 4 L bottles and use that on seedlings As a top dressing to spray directly on the plant and that’s all I use right up until harvest and my plants absolutely thrive. Beneficial bacteria and fungus can be added but there will be enough in there to colonize root zones and promote vigourous growth and it’s better than anything you can buy from the store. If you want a year around set up grow hydroponically deep water culture. Grows four times as fast up to five harvests a year with simple cheap LED lights and sodium high-pressure for budding. Great way to start your garden as well as your plants are already big when you put them in the ground and you’ll harvest early before bugs in pests bother your garden. In Canada you can grow orange trees avocado, lemon etc. and growing inside has massive benefits like a controlled environment, no temperature fluctuations etc. extremely cheap to get set up with yeilds you’ve only dreamed of. Simple 5 gallon black pails with net cups and A 10 port air pump is all that’s needed. You can make your own seed/ clone sprayer out of a Plastic bin with lid for less than $40 that will last you a decade. There are search engine videos on how to get set up online that are extremely easy to follow cheap and effective for year around fruit and vegetables among other things. There are also how to make compost tea videos… Literally anything you need to know you simply need to search to learn. We save a substantial amount of money on groceries And I love gardening inside throughout the cold winters in Canada. So many benefits and is simple to maintain after your set up

    Do you mulch them? Thank you for the video/ tip.

    • @tonygreif4931
      @tonygreif4931 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      yes, by pressing them in a half inch to an inch as they did in the video, it allows the water to pool around the plant and stay where it needs to be rather than running off and not getting enough water to the roots. Mulching with pretty much any type of mulch will help, even just a layer of compost on top works well to retain water and provide slow release nitrogen and organic matter

      @Here hold this will ya, root vegetables (turnips, carrots, onions, beets, turnips) grow underground. That means they have to be treated differently than vegetables which grow above ground, on various size bushes and vines. Above ground vegetables' roots are MUCH DIFFERENT FROM the below ground ROOT VEGETABLES. The carrot, beet, etc IS the root!! You can also eat the Greens that grow at the top of (above ground) Root Vegetables. Hope this helps you to understand.

      @@1blondidea So where's the root vegetable fot parsley? I've never seen it.

    • @1blondidea
      @1blondidea 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Alice D, parsley is not a root vegetable. Parsley is a biannual herbal (meaning it will grow 2 years in your herb garden) Right now I am carefully watching a 2 yr old parsley plant I have that is going to seed. I want to collect/harvest the seeds for controlled planting. You can grow Italian Flat Leaf Parsley, and Curly Parsley. As I do a lot of cooking with Italian Flat Leaf Parsley, this is what I grow, and want to expand in my garden so I have more of the FRESH herb available to cook with. It also handles our 9a winters well, so we're growing more. Hope this info helps.
