Fun fact, the Platonists (et al) also associated what they called qualities with the elements: dry/wet; hot/cold. Fire = hot & dry, water = cold & wet, air = hot & wet, and earth = cold & dry. Aether was considered a separate element known as quintessence, and didn't have qualities associated with it. Alone, this is a cool little tidbit. But it would be super cool if someone could gamify this feature, maybe say for types of damage and such.
Oh yeah it's absolutely wild stuff and I had that in here originally. Then I realized it detracted from the dice point so I pulled it out. I want to eventually do a world wide deep dive on different elements and compare them so I'll make sure to cover dry/wet and hot/cold when I do that.
I really want to share more of it but some of the comments on other videos had people telling me they prefer me to cover pre-existing fantasy stuff for now. I would love to do a deep dive on some of the stuff in the setting especially when it comes to the monsters but I can only sneak at it at the end of my history of fantasy videos right now
Couple people in the Discord have seen it but it is not currently publicly available. I'm trying to make sure I don't violate any copyright stuff before I start showing public things.
I started playing DnD very early in the 80s. My first d20 was 1 thru 10 twice. I had to color half of them in. I still have that thing somewhere. Some of the numbers on it were always kinda hard to read. Platonic indeed. Lol
I watched the video, i get what you are saying, this all still sounds insane from s modern standpoint. Like looking back these people just sound insane which is probably my favorite part about history.
Oh yeah it definitely sounds insane these days which is my favorite part about it. That's why I had to make this video though, I wanted people to know that I wasn't insane for referencing this because it's not some crazy thing I came up with I was making fun of the way it was in the past.

Third time watching one of your vids and now I will subscribe.
Shh... Don't tell the dice goblins that shiny math rocks are magic.
Don't worry I don't think they will watch the whole video, you should share with them just to be sure though lol.
1. I'd love to see that Pythagoras video. 2. I would love to see more about Enoss. Are you going to share more of that?

@kid9893 do you have any of Enoss available in PDF anywhere
Kind of? It's tied up in my rulebook for my game right now which is being tested right now.
@@kid9893 Is any of that available anywhere

I was wondering how many people would come here thinking that lol.

18:19 Arneson pick up D10 before all the platonic dices.
Yes but the game never launched with it because they couldn't find a company who could make them in mass.
Very exciting thing to come back home to
I'm glad you are able to enjoy it after work my friend.
Pythagoras 'invented' the Pythagorean theorem about as much as Plato 'invented' the Platonic solids
I get the point but it's more fun this way.
Pythagoras video please…
Time to useyou may not like claltrop dice but there the peak of physical perfection.
They really are. Four other dice wish they were them.
if you can't make a pentagon out of triangles, what's the shape you get five of if you draw lines from the vertices to the center?
The would be irregular triangles that's why I said you'd have to beat them into shape
