Most huge statues around the world are either standing or sitting statues. This Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is full of action. Garuda is full of expression and He is flying. Meanwhile, Lord Wishnu is calmly seated with his eyes closed on His vehicle, Garuda. Garuda's body is soft and comfortable to add to it Garuda's feathers makes it even more soft, smooth and comfortable. The tail feathers of Garuda give a soft and feathery resting place for Lord Vishnu to lean His back on. Hence the Lord rest comfortably on Garuda with His eyes closed.
