Look at all those sweet first gens. Warms my heart. Wonder if there are any Sequoia meets on the East Coast? Don't know what we'd do, though, sit in traffic? Maybe West Virginia or the Smokies would be good.
I hear you my wife always drives the Sequoia and I drove my truck but we just bought a Highlander for her it’s a little shorter to get her mom in the car I took over the Sequoia went and had the exhaust done first thing my wife says is you ruined my truck I’ll have to post a video of the exhaust needs a little more work though
Like your video! Seriously thinking about getting a 1st gen. I like the relatively smaller size for the capability. Big family and I want something reliable with the ability to overland and take young kids off roading in SoCal, especially OC. Thanks again for showing us what the 1st gen can do, as well as the community of Sequoia owners. Really cool to know
Lytle Creek!! This is our go to spot. Looking to get a Sequoia soon and ran into your vid! So awesome, we may want to meet up sometime once we get a Sequoia! Unless Jeeps are welcome😂
Looks like fun. We have a sequoia And the Chevy Silverado we just got my wife a new Toyota Highlander used new to us so I decided to take over the Sequoia and drive it for my daily driver and sell my Silverado because I always drive it anyway
You can get a good first generation one for around $4000. They are good for 500,000 miles or more. Best value vehicle out there IMO. Maybe worth the extra hassle of buying one from a dry southern state, that way no rust issues.
@FrankRazo I'm in the NW corner of Phoenix! But we travel all across AZ for camping, so we have some good spots. I just followed you on IG, so I'll shoot you a message on there!
I think that having a Sequoia would be fun but gas for these SUVs are kind of an issue, especially if they are 4WD because these things can cost a lot of money when it comes to gas but other than that, these things are good at towing and good for reliability
My old xj on 35s gave me 10mpg city /13ish highway. And most offroad jeeps get below 14mpg. Imo, you have the v8 so you actually have power and can tow confortable compared to other vehicles.
Это бездорожье???😂😂😂 У меня Секвойя 2001 года. Так я на ней по русским лесам и полям езжу круглый год. Вы такого бездорожья даже не видели.😂 Привет из России.
I got them on Amazon I can’t find the link anymore but they where like the one below and similar price only I just got the front seats. (NOT THE SAME BUT SIMILAR) ✌🏼 www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09GJN3CM6/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_2?smid=A1NW7P2VTX1VKO&psc=1
Had a blast camping and hanging out!
You Sequoia folks are a friendly bunch
Man I can’t thank you enough for coming out glad you had a good time. Can’t wait for Pismo beach this summer.

We need to get a SoCal/Arizona Sequoia group camping trip going here in the next couple months!
Are you in Arizona? I’ve actually wanted to camp in AZ lmk we can get something going.

My IG is FrankRazo.oc
Been thinking about a sequoia for awhile. Is there a good off road market out there for them? How about lockers?
There’s more and more stuff coming out for them and a lot of the tundra stuff works on them too. Definitely a good platform.
Just got my 2nd gen…. Would love to link up with you guys for a run!!! I don’t do social media though…..
It’s a Facebook group called SoCal Seqouia’s
I miss my 1st gen Sequoias I previously owned. My 2nd gen has not done me wrong but the 1st gens were just smoother.
They’re both great looking rigs tho 🙌🏼
Over $6 a gallon?? Wow!! 😮
California 😖
This the comment I was looking for. Good lord, 6 bux for a Gallon of gas? Ridiculous
I think that having a Sequoia would be fun but gas for these SUVs are kind of an issue, especially if they are 4WD because these things can cost a lot of money when it comes to gas but other than that, these things are good at towing and good for reliability
Yea they definitely love to drink gas lol not gas efficient at all I get about 13 MPG
My old xj on 35s gave me 10mpg city /13ish highway. And most offroad jeeps get below 14mpg. Imo, you have the v8 so you actually have power and can tow confortable compared to other vehicles.
You don’t get a full size suv for gas mileage. You get a Toyota Yaris lol
What you spend in gas you make up for in lack of regular repair cost because toyota. And these trucks have a 2wd setting.
@@MattDickey530 Do you save on gas if you're on 2wd?
Where did you get the American flag sticker for your rear window?
Found it on Amazon a while ago

I'm surprised he had so much of a problem, his center diff wasn't locked then? :(
I think it was just a bad line that was being taking.
When’s the next trip, still building mind but would like to go sometime.

Hi Frank, do you have a link to that car seat cover in your sequoia. or can you recommend one. thanks. P.S. Cooper is too cool :)

Man I am so sorry the such a late reply I totally missed this. Yes that's a great size the 35 will require some cutting.
