I was thinking imagine if lizzie and jd were dating and jd was the cause of her death that would hit a lot harder than him and her being comrades I'm not saying it would make the story better but her death would be much more sad
First time in settlement 2 was his fault, second time wasn’t but he still held a grudge of innocence being killed because of his recklessness. In fact JD is the greatest among the crew because he can take the leap like Marcus. He has more character than both Del and Kait combined. What’s funny about Lizzie’s death is it’s kinda full circle for Marcus. Marcus still thinks about Anthony and Benjamin and felt like he failed Benjamin the most. I’m the gears 3 opening act we see them both in the dream of an event they were not supposed to be in and play as them. At the end we hear Marcus yell out for Carmine when his chopper caught on fire from myrrah. And just Like Lizzie, JD feels the same thing.
The reason he’s fucked up was because he refused an order thinking he could fix things on his own. Which got people killed. Now he’s trying to keep those he’s loves from encountering the same fate by using the same control he refused.
Ok… Sure, JD did do the hammer of dawn thing but I blame 50% on the civilians. Just saying that if they would’ve gone out of there just a little faster then maybe just maybe Lizzie would’ve probably lived.

I hate when every Carmine dies in each game, it's like they don't care about the story. They introduced a character & then they die.. What's the point if they don't improve story for the campaign. I'm not sure if Gary die, was it Clayton son that die, or was it Clayton Nephew that die, & they never reveal Clayton's fourth brother Carmine, if he was in the war? & if he is still alive? They should give the fourth brother Carmine a spinoff game when he's young & after. Don't kill him off, & reveal his name, too many Carmine's die.
When Lizzie Carmine was killed by the Dawn Blast. He blamed himself for her death because he had the Dawn track his own body. Another factor, because he couldn't get her out of the truck.
If Gears 6 follows the storyline where JD lives It will be some serious shit move. From a storytelling point of view JD's dying make much more sense than Del, even If It's "unfair". It sucks, but him living would be just plain plot armor.

This right here. Even if I were Marcus, I would be all up in her shit if she was wearing the symbol of the enemy I had been fighting for decades. Shit storytelling and unrealistic character actions. Wack.
@@M1NN1CH 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You’re freaking delusional and extremely ignorant to the story.
@@M1NN1CH you’re just as foolish as the other guy
This game shouldvr ended at 3 when we killed the horde
ExelArts idk man the campaigns are actually quite good ngl 5 more than 4 the microtransactions fucked up and horde is meh in 5 but mp and escape are quite fun
@@flyingthrills4440 no,fuck you,3 was the best and it should be ended there
Nah. At least I can finally play them since I haven't got Xbox.
@@corpsemachine6949 cry harder
I need proof of JD's details of his chance, even though it's there, the comic book or guide book should really explain after JD when he received the stim healing device.
Marcus gave him good advice
I like JD because I got by that name and well I like him because he is a little better than the other characters
they should make dels death the canonical one .
They need to make a DLC campaign on what happened in the four months.
DLC? In a modern AAA game? You got to be kidding, that means they have to do a bit more work to earn money.
Every AAA game developer knows that just turning the microtransaction dial-up abit brings in easy money now...
Or a carmine only dlc or a deebee and cog gear dlc or a swarm dlc or a locusts dlc or a....eh who cares, they're too lazy anyway
The way I see it jd is a combo pack of Steve rogues and Bucky barns. The Steve part with his rank has captain and how does everything by the book and just fellow orders. The Bucky part the scars of his past like his arm and the memories of what did haunt him still.
I personally think whoever just killed JD at the end felt like he changed into a dick due to the unneccessary hammer of dawn strike and the guilt cuz of said strike. And/or didn't play Gears 1-3
Idk, to me it looked like the hammers beam was still incorrectly firing at what it thinks his position is/aiming for JD so by JD running TOWARDS the civvies and Liz wouldn’t he be running the laser/targeting to them…? If it was still focusing him and not just randomly firing then he should have ran AWAY from everyone…
All the hair from his head went to his mouth and chin
Pretty tragic to happen to a man
1:53 Love how you cut the clip into the chaos hence those words lol
Why the hell does JDs new look remind me of Oliver Queen during the season where he was in prison
I was thinking imagine if lizzie and jd were dating and jd was the cause of her death that would hit a lot harder than him and her being comrades I'm not saying it would make the story better but her death would be much more sad
she's a carmine her death was written long ago
Lizzie should’ve took her helmet off, if she had a face maybe then she wouldn’t have died
Hmmm why do the shepherds have to be on swarm side?
They aren't they are on the C.O.Gs side but Flocks can corrupt them.
I love Shepards and Cog Gears, and I fucking hate Locust and Swarm
Watching this years later I don't understand why Lizzie didn't tried to open the door of the other side.
I could be wrong but I think the hammer was coming from that side so if she would’ve gotten out it would’ve been close
3:23 damn 😢
Well JD looks like Adam Fenix now with a beard
i dont remember jd's head being shaved this early
You mean 5 reasons to why he’s actually likeable now 😂
The reason he’s fucked up was because he refused an order thinking he could fix things on his own. Which got people killed. Now he’s trying to keep those he’s loves from encountering the same fate by using the same control he refused.
I think It's because of what kate Said,"You know, You two are More alike than any of you wanna admit."
JD: Not yet We are. You just see!
Shes Kait,not Kate
wait so are you telling me Marcus is still a Sergeant after everything?
It is James *Phoenix*
Marcus had hair like jd
When jd gets his full beard it looks like Marcus.
Maybe he wants to look like his dad
Cool cutscenes that I already saw! Yay!
My man just went to Australia for a week, so what?
What’s wrong with his arm?
Joshua Chavira The Hammer Of Dawn burnt it
John Wick okay that’s what I thought it looked super weird throughout.
At first I thought it was a prosthetic arm but looking closer it seems to be synthetic skin for the burns.
No it's a swarm infection the device is to stop it from spreading.
@@daslowmemeturtleturtle5710 I thought he got the injury from the hammer of dawn in act 1 trying to save Lizzie.
Ok…
Sure, JD did do the hammer of dawn thing but I blame 50% on the civilians.
Just saying that if they would’ve gone out of there just a little faster then maybe just maybe Lizzie would’ve probably lived.
For me, canonically speaking JD is the one that likely dies in gears 5. It makes more sense for the story as a whole to keep Del alive and Kill JD
I like JD's new look but his old personality
So did the blast burn his hair too or did he just decide to buzz it off?
Pleas gears 6 bring back Jd with his hair minus the beard.
Anybody know what’s up with JD’s arm dope as fuck
Man did they gave James the worse makeover from gears 4 no reason to change his character so dramatically he’s unrecognizable
I don’t care what the reason was I like Del more so I saved him
I don't see the real reason in the video, I saw all that in game but it doesn't show or say why did he changed like that,so is there a way to find out what really happened within those 4 months when he changed?
It would have been better if JD ordered a court martial after kait disobeyed orders.
Nah, he isnt a complete military man. He more or less understood Kaits decision. That's why he tells Del to make sure shes okay.
@@lelouche25 Well I didnt like the way Marcus treated her having a locust insignia he should have flipped out as he fought the locust and is a partial reason his dad died
@@epyonmetal7208 I don't know about that,I mean kait didn't really do anything but I see what you're saying.Marcus should've had a more angry reaction
And yeah, that Would've been cool if JD had ordered it,or Fahz
Hammer of Dawn....
C'mon man....
3rd time I run into your comment lol
Nice I guess
I hate when every Carmine dies in each game, it's like they don't care about the story.
They introduced a character & then they die.. What's the point if they don't improve story for the campaign.
I'm not sure if Gary die, was it Clayton son that die, or was it Clayton Nephew that die, & they never reveal Clayton's fourth brother Carmine, if he was in the war? & if he is still alive?
They should give the fourth brother Carmine a spinoff game when he's young & after.
Don't kill him off, & reveal his name, too many Carmine's die.
He favored Anya before, but now he definitely looks like the son of Marcus Fenix.
He looked a little too Hollywood before the change
He actually looks badass
He looked badass before too
The thumbnail of the vid that I just noticed something. That James hair has redirected to his beard :v
So ? İ didnt understand how JD face changed???
So why he changed
Because of the blast he got all serious
When Lizzie Carmine was killed by the Dawn Blast. He blamed himself for her death because he had the Dawn track his own body.
Another factor, because he couldn't get her out of the truck.
Because later in the game in act 2 when you are on the skiff you and del talking about jd and they mentioned that in the blast he got in a coma
He realized that due to his choices others can die rather than himself
@@wolfsierra0174 satellite malfunction though and was no longer tracking his coordinates though it lost connection
So the hammer of dawn blast changed him?
If Gears 6 follows the storyline where JD lives It will be some serious shit move. From a storytelling point of view JD's dying make much more sense than Del, even If It's "unfair". It sucks, but him living would be just plain plot armor.
I know Baird is a scientist or whatever but does he really have to wear a white lab coat?
@Mystic Stylez he could wear literally anything else
I don't like girl as a protagonist. I liked JD to take over the gears of war. That's why I didn't play the gears 5.
Only an ignorant child thinks like that.
Yeah, good thing rod Ferguson isn't working in the coalition anymore
He looks better in Gears 4
Jd kind of like kratos form god of war
is jd is still with kati?
I can't take kait seriously, I don't like her as a character. I hope JD is the main character in Gears 6
You’re obviously an ignorant biased man child
So what’s the reason?
Tbh jd is right in a way
