- In the back courtyard of the Tomb of the Unknowns, you can see a very interesting Easter Egg dedicated to some personalities of the past games, all signed on the Memorial Wall.
To achieve this Easter Egg you will need to pick up all the Collectibles dedicated to these characters. After that, you will be able to interact with the Memorial Wall and see Kait's commemorative hail.

Ben May be the youngest but he is definitely the bravest of us and he also has a strong will to fight. I’m just proud of my little Brother.

She didn’t die in the war. All death were during the war, also we went to her grave in Gears 4.

@@alwayssneezing7096 Yeah, Barrick died holding off a bunch of Grubs in Montevado after the Locust used the Riftworm to sink it in the first arc of the DC/Wildstorm series of Gears of War comics. He bought time for Jace and Dom to get to Marcus.

the description when you find his helmet sumerises how he was in gears of war 2 man i remembered how he was trying to cover delta's retreat until cole told him to save his strengh for the playoffs and later died getting torn to shreads by insects his lastwords to marcus were heartbreaking

I got chills everytime one of them talked, and got emotional when Ben, Anthony, Dom and Tai talked, this Easter Egg alone made me like this game *a lot*

That hit different 💔, Ben has always been my favorite character. Ever since he came out I always used him in multiplayer. On Gears 5 I switch between Ben and the Onyx guard.
This just brought back so many memories of so many great characters from my childhood...

It'd be cool if you can play as these characters in multiplayer but in their ghost form, and when they take damage, ectoplasm comes out instead of blood

It is really sad thinking of the road we started with some of these characters and then seeing them go down one by one, this is truly the best easter egg imo, remeber the fallen

I just stumbled upon this I’ve beaten gears 5 & all the others besides 4. I found your channel by looking up Avalanche Map on Gears 2. Looked at your most popular & found this. I can’t believe I never heard or found this because I’m an achievement hunter I complete every game I play. I’m pretty close to being done with gears haven’t played it in awhile though. This Easter egg is so amazing though I’m happy I know about it now. Gears 5 is underrated

i miss Dominic. i feel like thruout Gears 1-3 he was the balance to Marcus’ toughguy persona, and the only thing keeping him sane during the Locust War. he was there for it all, and when he died, Marcus lost a piece of himself :( RIP
R.I.P Micheal Barrick he went out like a warrior against the Locust and saved delta squad instead of a painful death to rust lung.

If you read the names on the memorial you can see there names of the characters and names from the books/comics such as Carlos Santiago
As someone who played thru these games it still brings me to tears n to know one day Marcus will join camorades

Out of everybody who died. Michael Barrick has the most badass death in all of Gears of War.
Dom's death is the only video game cutscene that makes me tear up every time I see it. His sacrifice ensured that his closest friends would survive. To a loving husband, Father, son, and brother to the end, alongside the rest of the fallen, rest in eternal peace.
For those who didnt read the comics, but played raam's shadow, barrick died in the comics while putting up a last fight against wretches and beast riders, but he had already been dieing of rust lung. He was a badass mf

Prescott did a lot of messed things and screwed over a lot of people...Marcus in particular... But what he did he did so humanity would survive, he had no illusions that he wouldn't be hated for the choices he made, he even stuck it out with the majority while he had that storm protected Island.
Jinn on the other hand, she seems more interested in control even with the Swarm looming over a barely recovering humanity.
Dom was probably the best character to relate with. Personal favorite out of all of them

One thing that has always confused me in this game is Ben Carmine’s helmet, why is it in that specific spot? For those who remember correctly, Ben died in the rift worm and was then crushed by a bunch of debris in its stomach. I just find it hard to believe that his helmet made it out, maybe just used for memorial purpose

Don’t get me wrong, i loved them all, but I always feel bad for the Carmines. Both Anthony and Benjamin were just kids at the end of the day. And fuck me was it sad when they died, both of them, even Anthony. That shot was so shocking, I remember just pausing the game and going “I er....”
