Idea for Sligstorm. The two main "heroes" are the Albino slig, a small guy that escaped being agumented/killed and actually grew up to be rather smart. The other is the "Biggest of Bros" , possibly a former elite guard of the Slig queen who's is extremely simple almost to the point of utter stupidity by even Slig Standards, but due to being so big and scary that he rarely has to do anything, is actually usually rather gentle. The two team up to save the life of a recently born female slig who the Queen tries to have killed so she can't be possibly replaced. Baby Girl, as they call here, is extremely kind even as a baby, so Al (The albino) and Bigs (The Biggest Bro) Decide to save her and try and get her back to the old abandoned swamps where their kind were originally from and no one lives in anymore. Al could be the sneaky brain boy that does stealth bits and tech and what not, while also possibly upgrading Bigs' equipment over time with enough mollah to get buy the parts from a Glukkon, (Maybe Mulluk?) while Bigs is the muscle, smacking people and breaking things as needed.
While making this I discovered that in Xbox Munch's Oddysee, Big Bro Sligs have their own walking sound which mixes a lower Slig walk sound with a heavier noise and Snoozers have their own unique sound. However, in the HD remake, Big Bros still have the/a heavier noise, but the Slig part of the sound is exactly the same as an ordinary Slig and Snoozers no longer have their own unique walking sound and just use the same one as a normal Slig as well. I prefer the Xbox version in both instances, I wonder why they changed it so they all use the standard Slig noise.
I believe Big Bros were what inspired the design of Steef in Strangers Wrath. But in game, the Steef might have been what inspired the creation of Big Bros (large quadruped guardians with massive arms able to take a lot of punishment and dish it out)

I wonder, if the treatments are so expensive hence why the Glukkons don't do it to all of their sligs. Do you think the super rich glukkons keep lots of Big Bro sligs around as a way to flaunt their massive wealth?
hyperoxygenation is also considered a performance enhancement similar to anabolic steroids. More oxygen/ oxygen-rich blood is seen as a method to stimulate muscle growth and higher endurance, as you're putting less effort into breathing to fuel your cells. Lance Armstrong's "doping" scandal was based around him having transfusions of oxygen-rich blood into his body to give him a higher stamina threshold. Oxygen-rich environments are also associated with disproportionately sized organisms; thus why prehistoric settings with a thicker atmosphere are often depicted as having giant insects. So it is entirely possible the oxygen pump is part of the bulking up procedure.

The thoughts your having "why didn't the Big Bro Slig just drop in with the weapon" are probably the exact thoughts of the Big Bro Slig himself. "Why do I have to go grab my weapon after I drop in, why can't I just pick it up before I jump down?" I read that they live for 22 years, suggesting they have a slightly increased lifespan than an ordinary Slig, but whether that's true or not I'm not sure. 11:48 Where did u find this one? This is pretty interesting
What’s the background music?
I cannot imagine how much pain they may go through just to be jacked.
Amazing vid! They should have been in Soulstorm with Xbox version 😭
I think the third eye is supposed to reference Sam Fisher's night vision goggles from Splinter Cell.
Can you do the lore of Shrykull?
Yeah, that's quite high up on my list.
they probably made the storm trooper mask cause lorne loves star wars
I wouldn't be surprised if Glukkons would pay the the Vykkers to enhance their Sligs into Big Bro ones (if better guards needed to them). And the Glukkons would play on the poor Sligs' ego, like "You would like to be this big and strong, don't you? I can help you with that, just sign this contract here and here..." Poor not that smart fellows would jump on it with joy. 🤣😮💨
This was my favorite character in munchs oddysee. Is this flipped or are they all left handed
I hope to see BBS again on next PS5 Oddworld game ❤️
He looks badass and elite.
Neat.
I wonder if sligs would be able to fight the covenant from halo or the empire from star wars
Those would be really fascinating crossovers to see!
@@pupbenny I think glukkons and vykkers combined would be able to make deadly stuff for the war, more weaponized sligs, deadly tanks and mudokons would probably work longer hours manufacturing stuff for the war. Could you perhaps make video how you think would happen?
I remember making fun of these guys when I was younger playing munches oddysee. They were moving so slow
Till they spotted me
I had the biggest heart attack! I never wanted to face one again, it was so terrifying! WHY ARE THEY SO FAST
what if a mudokun got steroids
That's probably just Alf from Soulstorm.
Is it just me or do sligs and bull squids look extremely similar
Oh wow, never played Half-Life but looked this up and they look SO similar to crawling sligs, that's so weird lol. Like how slogs look like squigs from Warhammer.
Oh! Step slig... i seemed to have got myself stuck in these meat grinders somehow, get me outta here!
*B R U H*
Dang love these Guys~
in the great wise word of all sligs i
i really hope we see one in the next new game
I hope so too!
Slig Slig Chungus Slig Chungus
Anyone can help? How to slash the slig and tie it up ? What's the command key? Thx a ton.
Hilarious. I love how they swear.
I've never played Munch's Oddysee unfortunately. It's a shame this was only on Xbox.
It’s not payed attention to but I’ve noticed the slacker ones are the ones that come out of the toon with makes sints it can’t be easily to sleep in there and if my boss shoved me into a vending macine I’d be ya fuck this jos to
yes steroids cause a deepen voice in real life, i've been going to the gym for years, interestingly i'm curious will the big bros shink if they don't get their fix because all that happened when the uk first game out of lockdown was all the roid bois shrank in the wash one guy went from XXL shirts to M shirts it was kinda funny, also roids don't increase strength, roids just make you look bigger, its always funny watching some of these bastards try to lift weight thats not on a bar and can't, so yeah maybe the normal sligs could body the big bros in a fist fight
And that's not even going into what roids do...downstairs.
@@randomcenturion7264 to be fair I don't think the sligs would care as they're have nothing down there
Seeing a Big Bro Slig that's shrunk back down again I bet could be quite hilarious.
I hope in the remake they are glukkons instead of sligs.
That'd be fun to see! Glukkons on steroids!
These would Have Been cool on souls storm
Any one else want to watch the Olympics with drugs alowed I want to see a dude run a 4 second 100 meters or jump 50 ft or lifting tonnes of weight just to see how far we can push it with no limits at all.
LOL that'd actually be really interesting to see what would happen!
What is there life spam since the regular one max life in the inductory world is 20 years.
Was actually going to mention that in the video but missed it out somehow! I read that they live for 22 years, suggesting they have a slightly increased lifespan than an ordinary Slig, but whether that's true or not I'm not sure. It doesn't make too much sense to me as I'd have thought they'd live for a less time considering the amount of drugs they pump into their systems.
@@pupbenny haha wow I would thought so too. Giving the fact all those live supports it wears for it to lives. But who knows until they remake the game flesh out more lore to these behemas.
If we ever get a new not remake new oddworld game there should be a giga bro slig one that completely abused steroids and is to heavy for pants and walks on its hand
