Brilliant solution!! Thanks for this. I used the same solution to mount a Nanuk 933 case as a top case on my Honda Transalp. The connection is very secure (doesn't rattle) and the quick release works very well. For additional security I added a single bolt & nut through to the top rack on my bike to ensure no one could remove the case without first opening it to remove the security bolt. I went with Nanuk since their latches are easy to use and they make replacement latches with locks.
Perfect, and great timing as ever! Looking to do exactly this for my enduro bike and my road bike. Would be useful if you can show in a bit more detail how the various SW Motech bits bolted to the Perun Moto rack and how you attached all of it to the bottom of the Peli case? Hope you are keeping well! Scott.
Thank you very much Scott. I thought about adding the mounting details but they are super easy to do. 4 bolts to mount the pelican case to the SW quick release plate and the 4 bolts on the rear rack as per installation manual 😉

Good idea with the bolt 😉 thank you very much - I need to look into this 👍
Thanks so much for this video! The SW Motech adapter worked great for mounting a Pelican case to my KLR650. Good stuff!
Excellent - glad the video was helpful 😉
Great idea! Thanks for sharing. Just ordered a bunch of SW Motech stuff and a 1450 pelican case!

Good stuff man
Thank you very much
I don't see the mounting plate in your description. I will look again as I am on the phone looking atm. Thanks.
Has anyone tried a lock through the top plate to hold the case in place? Locking the case closed and to the bike are both necessary for me.
