That’s just like a “Winchester” break barrel I have, with just iron sights I’ve hit finches out of trees from at least 150-200 feet
I just got a 1.77 pellet gun of the back of a scrap van fixed it up and working like new
It goes for about $100 in Illinois. Suggestion is to buy one in Indiana or Wisconsin instead.

You’re gonna learn real soon that these guns are pellet sensitive meaning you need to buy a bunch of different brands to see which one the guns really like

That's a tough durability test for ANY rifle.
I think him getting the ground hog was an accurate representation of what these are capable of as a kid regularly took racoons with something very similar a well placed shot of a .177 can do a lot

Yep I took big pigeons and raccoons also , armadillo with a 750 pump master as a kid and it only shot at 750 fps still dropped them with 1 shot all about bullet placement
I don’t think the durability test was a good idea, I don’t think any gun would have survived that test were you strapped it to the truck tire.

I killed two large groundhogs yesterday with my break barrel .17 cal. You have a lot more money as a teen than I did. Our money came to damned hard back then.
Groundhogs have started causing a problem at my farm and my 223 has proven to be very effective.
You please don't break up the gun at the end...Here in our poor South East Asian Country.. Even a Cheap Break Barrel for you cost double and save the crops from pest and provide bird and squirrel meat on the table...

That gun for the money is a steal, I own one. It is a 16 or 17 Fpe, that is plenty of power.
I must admit, I don't like this guys shooting ethics; he doesn't care if he never gets a clean kill, he's just cruel. I don't have a problem with people hunting, but go for a quick kill, so the animal doesn't suffer, even if the animal is a nuisance. Also, why would he go to kill a bird that is feeding its young ones? This seems to be a young man with too much money & too much attention. I originally thought this was going to be a good budget rifle review, without just wanting to kill & injure his prey. Time to stop watching his video(s); I'll leave him to entertain you guys.

I like the Crossman F4 I have good luck with the cheap ass daisy pointed tips lol I swapped the scope for a 3-9x32mm it's killed a ton of possums and trash pandas. I've also taken café of the neighborhood stray cats too...I didn't like the piranhas, that nitro piston on the F4 is much more quiet than that beast
Every time you shake a tin of pellets or drop them from the bag onto a table you damage them.
A damaged pellet will not perform as well as one that is not.
Any tin of pellets that does not contain a foam baffle to prevent damage during transportation should be put beck on the shelf.

Gamo rocket has been an extremely accurate pellet for me in many different break barrels. You wanna hear something outrageously stupid? I live in the communist state of New Jersey where air rifles and even airsoft guns are classified as firearms meaning all the same regulations apply. You have to get a firearms purchasers id card just to be able to go to the gun store to buy a pellet gun. BB guns are illegal in nj. I thought about trying to sue state for infringement of the constitution because it is just absurd to me

I have a Crosman 2240 that is CO2 powered, chambered in .22 and I've had the best groping with the Ruger pellets.

I picked up one of these, and and it's a absolute tac driver with Crossman Destroyers, GAMO Tomahawks, and it shoots Dasisy pellets very well lol. This is the best value rifle out there. Spring is loud, but for the $63.00 bucks, can't beat this. I just put a GAMO scope on it to see what it does. Iron sights just needed slight adjustment.

Try dieseling your pellets. Put a drop of thin oil in the back of the pellet and watch how much fps you pick up its insane. I do it everytime I shoot my break barrels and it's crazy the amount of gains you get from a drop of oil.
its even better to put a small dab of vaseline on the back of the pellets. You can get several ready at the same time and the Vaseline does not run away. Some people say that this destroys the air seals but I have never had any problems, especially with cheap guns.
@@unclekevin5094 Yes, vasoline is the best way to go. Unless the weather is really hot, then it melts and runs out. Otherwise it's excellent. And no, it doesn't seem to hurt the seals or anything, my gun is old and it's still working fine. Even if it ruins the seals, it's easy to replace the piston seal.

You can also use that gun with daisy bbs by putting it in through muzzle and cocking the gun first and it worked pretty good because I killed something with it.

It looks like Daisy has discontinued this model and it isn't at Walmart anymore. It appears to be the same as the Winchester 1100S which may be discontinued also. :(

Sometimes I think you are a fool, you destroyed a perfectly good gun for what?, for nothing. Of course the gun would be destroyed when tied to a car wheel & what hunter would risk their rifle to get out of a bog, the one piece of equipment you would need to survive if stranded in the woods. My Grandmother would say you were the type of person who had "More Money Than Sense".
Those Gamo bullets got the plastic tip and They are accurate but not great for hunting, i hunt bunnies and for hunting i like using crosman “fast flight” they are accurate Quick and They even go through metal
