on the original pickups...that strat has been "tightened up" for him and that rig is amazing but when you're as good as he is, you can have whatever you want 🙃
i genuinely dont think i have ever seen a more thankful musician than philip, never heard of this man before now and it's safe to say my eyes are peeled for when he comes to the UK!
Had the pleasure to meet him at one of his shows over the summer - aside from being an utterly phenomenal musician, he was incredibly kind and took the time to sign my 'Peace Machine' LP cover and talk with me for a bit. Incredible show!
So happy to have stumbled across him on TH-cam. Finally, a guitarist worth paying to watch... He always seems to be in the zone and this makes all the difference.
Thank you so much for this guys!! You re so lucky for having that private rig rundown by the Man himself!! Awesome tones by the master of tone! Thank you so much to Philip too!!🙏🙌🙏
Wow! I met him recently and his game is impressive, it motivates me day by day. And now seeing the personality and humility he has is more impacted. This guy is amazing, one of my favorites.
Thank you for making this video! Really enjoyed this one! Not only is Philip an incredible guitarist with such a distinctive sound and style, he also seems a really lovely guy. Can't wait for his UK shows this year!

Philip is such a cool guy, Chris im sure he likes your playing too. You have that fantastic vibrato like Philip that really can add a vocal articulation to fuzz/wah combo. Good stuff!
awesome! Could it be that most of us worry about our setup, the material of the trem block and the nut and what not - and Philip just stuffs some aluminum foil underneath the strings if he feels like raising the strings a bit on the nut? So cool ...
I have been a player for 63 years at the conclusion of this year (2024). Most of that time it has been Stratocasters, my very first guitar being a 1954 I got for Christmas of ... 1963. Turns out my very favorite/best sounding Stratocaster is ... the 1963. Don't know why. But that year's pickups are just OUTSTANDING. And Philip is such a nice person ... God bless him.
Incredible player and what a wonderful person. I missed a show of philip in netherlands due a school recital of my son i could not mis. Hope to see him soon here in belgium or netherlands. What a sound hes got must be tuned down a half step also. Humble guy ❤

Philip...wow. he's such a great guy and absolute monster player. KILLER tone! Being a Canadian, I've been blessed to have witnessed him burn down many a room!
I’m really interested in Philip’s pedal order. Can’t seem to find anything definitive, although I think he’s said in the past that it’s always changing.

I've noticed of late that some guitarists have their amp speakers facing backwards away from them as opposed to facing them...why be that? 🤔
