Beautiful spec... I have some of these in my collection and love them. The carbon fiber track pack option takes them to the next level with the carbon fiber wheels, wing, and rear seat delete. You need to drive one of those sometime. They are very good on road courses and excellent on the drag strip - very versatile. They could benefit from shedding a few pounds as you said. If you are wondering what's in the trunk that is the undertray for the hood vent and factory hose because the OEM oil separator has been installed.
@@normalguysupercar Adding the oil separator is very common. The undertray is to help keep water out of the engine bay when it rains or during washing the car. The undertray has to be removed before tracking the car to help with heat extraction.
I owned a 2017 Mustang for a few years and loved it. Those folding rear seats were a life saver when my wife and I packed up everything for a 3 week cross country road trip. It was "packed to the gills".
Hello from Ireland again, Dan. Jesus, what a beautiful machine, fantastic colour, Dan. The back spoiler goes so well, especially in black. That Engine is a Monster lol. Great video again as always Mate. 🙏🙏🥰🥰👌👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I agree. I rented a GT500 on Turo a few times and it’s my favorite sports car you can buy for under $100k. You’re getting supercar levels of acceleration and gearbox performance and it actually handles and brakes well. It’s a different experience in warmer summer temperatures when the rear tires just hook up from 2nd gear up and it accelerates like a ballistic missile.
Note that, on the earlier acceleration run, you didn’t blur out your speedometer. Not sure if that was intentional. Pretty impressive. Great looking. Love the color. I think Dan has momentarily returned to his roots. This is a great car youtube channel 😂
I own one. And they can be found for a little less now than when I bought mine a little over a year ago for $85k. Dollar for dollar, you can mod a regular or premium GT to get similar performance, but this is the total rounded package. The engine and power is one thing, but the brakes...stellar. Depending on what you are coming from, it may take a bit of a learning curve. The DCT? .. I was a little skeptical, but really I wouldn't want to shift this, plus the DCT is so fast, why bother with a manual. TC is really great. This car is an absolute bargain for what you get.
Between me and Bonnie, collectively we’ve owned seven Mustangs, from my first 1969, to our last on in 2017. We had reached out to Ford and wanted to spec and purchase a GT500, only to be disappointed that they tried pushing of their GT350 that hadn’t sold from the previous year. It pissed me off so bad I when and bought two brand new 2020 Audi R8 performance models, one of which we still proudly own in white with red leather. Since then we’ve gone down the Ferrari path and are awaiting our second one, a fully loaded Ferrari 12Cillindri in Rosso Magma.
Hi Dan, long time follower. If you guys ever need anything for Mustangs, feel free to reach out. We always have stock and aftermarket parts in stock. Great content as always. 🏁
nice car but i must say that the only thing that always stopped me from getting one is that ( as you say ) brappy exhaust... that sound is like the old glass-pack mufflers which always sounded so cheap. i do have to say the performance is undeniable though.
@@normalguysupercar it’ll be nice if you could have those old school turbo mufflers on there or something to make it sound kind of like your GT 40, which is the way it should sound
Nah, drive a manual c7 zo6, preferably a 2017 and 2019, the 2019 has different engine and suspension tuning, sounds better but more tame in track mode, track mode dash setting on backroads with sport suspension, that manual c7 is arguable one of the best cars ever made, and I hate corvettes 😂
I would normally agree with that view except these are still generally going for more than their original msrp 4 or 5 years after they came out for one ten thousand miles or less.
Great video, love this Mustang...Pure Americana....Anyway, I feel like My 2015 Camaro convertible is holding it's value well, in my opinion. ~ Not planning on selling it though. ~ I have heard so many times from older guys I met: "I had a little 1968,69,70,71 XXXXXX, and we sold it after I got married"...I don't want that to be me.
i’m so sick of watching vid clips n these car and not owning one i’m doing everything i can to get to the point of bying one tryin so hard , i hope by the time i do i still want it lol
I’m glad to see you finally got a chance to open up one of these things. They really are breathtakingly fast.
It's stupid fast and fun
I have a 19 GT350 and very seriously considering adding a GT500 in 2025 (and a Z06 Corvette!). America!
Do it. Lol
Years 3 of ownership at 25k miles, I still love it.
Very cool
Year 3 here with 22k, every drive is an experience.
The GT500 and GT350 (because manual) are some of the coolest value sport cars. Great vid GLWS
Totally agreed
Absolutely love the growth of your channel ❤ keep moving the marker sir!! 😎
Thanks for watching!

Oh yes
That thing sounds spectacular too!
I think so
I own this exact spec and love it!
Hell yeah!
congrats to you bri
how does it feel driving it
goosebumps level or what
You're a good salesman.
Appreciate it

Yes traction and weight are the only issues but they aren't terrible
Note that, on the earlier acceleration run, you didn’t blur out your speedometer. Not sure if that was intentional. Pretty impressive. Great looking. Love the color. I think Dan has momentarily returned to his roots. This is a great car youtube channel 😂
Haha I have always loved American muscle.
I want that car SO BAD!!! My goodness! What a beast! I love Mustangs too Dan!
Heck yeah
Great review and thanks for sharing; just an observation; you stopped using the "Manual" paddles very early on in the video; why????
I didn't. I used them the entire time
An aftermarket CAI allows you to hear the supercharger whine. And if you want it lighter, try the GT500 CFTP. These are all truly great cars.
Yeah need to do that

Very cool
Dan, Ford Performance has a rear seat delete kit for that year of GT 500. Some other shops also have kits.
That's not shocking. I would definitely want that if it was to be really tracked
That’s the best mustang ever created for sure!
Agreed
I agree with you even I'm Italian. It's either something like this or a Giulia Quadrifoglio for me.
Yeah it's a damn good car
Cool. I agree that the extra weight of the 2013-2014 GT500 held me back. At some point, weight trumps horsepower.
Get Meg to drive it. Have here comment that it’s a future Lamborghini owners starter car.
Lol oh man
That is one purty machine. No doubt, if it came with a manual trans I’d own one!
Honestly even with the dct it's excellent
You could get one of these mod it to become a GTD, either way its such a good value for money, when a Dark horse is over 70k.
No kidding
I get sick of people talking about it doesn't have a manual transmission is nonsense that DCT is what makes it a super car on a budget
Agreed! It drives wonderfully with the dct.

Ah nice! Thanks
MERICA 🇺🇸 sounds like great bang for the buck.
Heck yeah
Speedo blur, you missed some. That thing's properly rowdy.
Yes indeed
Badass car
Heck yeah
I have a gt350 and want this next
Yes.
@ just give me the blue one 😂 . Love the channel !
can you blur out the speedometer? i dont want you to get in trouble
It's fine
I can hear Colonel Jessep (Jack Nicholson) yelling at me "You can't handle the power!" And he'd be right.
Yeah
Did you buy this from a private seller or auction?
Auction

I’ve always thought the GT350 was a better balanced car. The GT500 was quite a handful because I’m such a shit driver. That blue is to die for though.
@@WildBillJr I’m not a fan of blue, but I do have to say that one does look good
Yeah the brap sound is a bit obnoxious. I wish there was a way to really change the tone
@@normalguysupercar it’ll be nice if you could have those old school turbo mufflers on there or something to make it sound kind of like your GT 40, which is the way it should sound
@@ChrisLoomisDirtFlix I'd love to hear it with some old school flowmasters. That sound was always in my mind what a mustang should sound like.

Triple digits MY MAN!!! 😮 ‘Merica?
Lol murica!
TUCKER CARLSON LAUGH TO FUNNY
Of lordy please don't compare me to that moron
You missed hitting 110 in one section of the video. LOL
Ah yes
Grew up with pony cars and have no real interest anymore. The real problem unfortunately is the massive depreciation.
I would normally agree with that view except these are still generally going for more than their original msrp 4 or 5 years after they came out for one ten thousand miles or less.
Yeah there's a depreciation risk for certain but it's not like a regular mustang

NO FERRARI MAKE THE ADRENAL GLAN FIRE OFF LIKE THAT
I'm gonna disagree

Well I'm not sure the formula is quite that simple but yes we're doing some of that

Oh man that's a lot
