I swear this thing is so over engineered and yet so fragile, but it’s cool
Thanks for the comment. The Tornado V3 has the best adjustment system as it's easy to use, and once set you can just leave it. Most cubes get a thrashing and seem to survive. Although the Tornado V3 I've heard has had some bad batches with the quality, the one I have seems fine.
Clear and simple. Thank you
Hey thanks for the comment. You can see the full setting video in th-cam.com/video/oNEDbS4ZA_E/w-d-xo.html
The X faded off my cube in a month 💀
I used alcohol wipes on other cubes and the logo went right away.
Tysm so much for this! I recieved my cube for christmas and just couldn't figure out how to adjust the spring tension as I couldn't see the notch. You just got a new sub! ❤❤
Glad I could help! As you can see it took me a while to work it out. I hope you break some personal bests with your new cube.
Yo if u have a hard time taking off the caps just use the tornado v3 plastic card
I knew there was a reason for those things.
Which number do you set off that?
Hi. The default is 3 when it comes out of the box, but I had already set some in the main video to see how the settings work. You can see the full video th-cam.com/video/oNEDbS4ZA_E/w-d-xo.html
Thanks.
How's it's corner and edge magnets, does it not break or fall out of place? Thanks
Hi, thanks for the question. We've not seen magnets fall out or other damage, but we haven't been treating the cube very rough. Most modern cubes are pretty strong and it's rare for damage to happen when dropping them after a solve. If you like the videos, don't forget to subscribe.
@@OzymandiasFamilyFun thanks for the answer sir appreciate it
@@OzymandiasFamilyFunmy corner magnets fell in the pieces but I was able to take the corner shells off and put them back in
Also, one of the stalks of the core snapped and I lost the piece that broke off, so I can’t use the cube
I've heard some stories about quality with the Tornado V3. All I can suggest is try for an exchange, or see if you can buy replacement parts.
This cube he owns has MagLev
Yeah, this is Maglev and internal magnets. Please don't forget to subscribe.
Bro opened a Beer bottle
Okay, thanks.
Hey is gan 12 maglev good?
Its decent, but I would get the weilong v9 ball core over it, the v9 is 200000x better trust me
Buying GAN is like buying Apple products, good but expensive compared to similar products. But it really comes down to your turning style. Ultimately, the Tornado V3 wasn't for me as I was overturning too much, which also happens in my GAN 356 M. Maybe with a good lube setup to slow it down it might have been okay. Watch my main video to compare th-cam.com/video/oNEDbS4ZA_E/w-d-xo.html with the YS3M Maglev ball core.
Yes but it's more expensive and th tornado v3 is like 30-40% the Gan is like 80$ and the tornado v3 is better I recommend the pioneer one it has all the good magnets it's a lot better than gan
Please help I dont understamd where the notch is
Hi, it's a small cut out of the centre edge of the part that stays in the cube.
But there is 2 for me
Well, all I can suggest is try one and test it. Do you have a metal screw in the centre? The older ones have that and so might have 2 notches.
Bro tuning a v3 is harder than gan xs tension setting
Hey @kathniss9022, I don't think so as you don't need tools for the Tornado V3, nor extra pieces.
@@OzymandiasFamilyFunyou can actually tension the GAN 356 XS without any tools at all if you are happy with its stock 3 settings. You can adjust tension and magnets with hand, and there are only additional tension nuts, if you don’t like the stock 3.
Wait a minute this doesn't have a screw. Did they update it something cause I bought it on release?
@Furry wdym all versions had screws before
@Furry nvm I looked it up. Apparently they revamped the whole core. They replaced the screws with a different system so it doesn’t break as easily, and changed the center to core magnets to a ball core
Hey team, thanks for following up on this. I found a bunch of videos from a few months ago
th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=tornado+v3+broken+core
A new core kit from QiYi, which has the description
"If your cube doesn't have screws, you already have this core. It is intended for people who bought the cube early on and received a core with the older, more fragile design. Due to the different center cap designs between the Flagship and Pioneer versions, this product is NOT compatible with Pioneer Tornadoes."
www.thecubicle.com/products/x-man-tornado-v3-flagship-core-upgrade-kit
And a heap of discussion on Reddit
www.google.com/search?q=tornado+v3+core+change+site:www.reddit.com
So yeah, there's a new core.
@Furry yeah same here
Whats better the tornado v3 or the wrm 2021 maglev?
Tough call. The Moyu WRM 2021, with the purple internals is the precursor to the Moyu Weilong V9. The WRM 2021 which we have, has the same dual adjustment and the Cubers Home internal magnets and so it's really smooth. It's also the only Moyu with adjustable corner magnets. So, in terms of features it's similar to the Tornado V3 Pioneer, as both also have maglev. However, being a Moyu it has that flatter surface feeling compared to the Tornado. Having a quick look however, the Moyu WRM 2021 isn't available much any more and it doesn't look much cheaper than the Tornado. So it really comes down to preference: do you prefer the quieter Tornado feel or the blocky Moyu feel.
Ty!
Im back with the tornado v3! Its in my yt
What do I do if it falls out?? Help
What falls out? The metal internals and the adjustment mechanism? Not sure. Previous models had a screw and the internals were a bit weak and so sometimes broke. You would need to glue them back in but this might affect stability if the distance isn't correct. If it's new it might be faulty so check with the shop you bought it from.
@@OzymandiasFamilyFun I dont understand, i have just got my v3, what are they talking about it breaking and all of this stuff, i would appreciate if you reply and tell me how to avoid all of this, thank you
Is that the flagship?
It's the Pioneer. Although they all have the same internals for the adjustment, I think.
@@OzymandiasFamilyFun The pioneer have maglev right?
Yes, the Pioneer is the top level Tornado V3 model.
@@OzymandiasFamilyFun the only difference between the flagship and the pioneer other than the maglev is the center caps
Урррааа нет винтов!!!
Yeah, the new one doesn't have screws.
dis or Gan 356m pls help me
Hi. In terms of feel, they're pretty similar. The Tornado V3 Pioneer has corner magnets and adjustable edge magnets. The 356 M is a few years old, fewer adjustments whereas the Tornado V3 is quite new, so I'd recommend the Tornado V3. I can see you have a Moyu in your shorts, so also check out the YS3M Maglev Ball Core. That's my new main and I really like it.
I made a full video comparing the YS3M to the Tornado V3. As always, please subscribe :)
@@OzymandiasFamilyFun thanks very much
@@OzymandiasFamilyFun what about weilong v9
No idea yet. I'm not a super fast solver, so I don't think it's going to help me. We've got the previous WRM model and it's really nice.
music too loud
Hi, not sure what to say about that. I thought it was fine.
