The numbers in the adjustment system are differently aligned because it's not a compression system. Instead of compressing the maglev like springs, this system aligns the magnets or misaligns them to change the repelling strength. So the adjustment system for the Pioneer is the same as it was from the beginning, and so are the center caps. But the screws and the ball core, yeah, that's what they changed because of many issues of stripped cores.
I main a Tornado Pioneer, and I have one from the earlier batches, with the white core and screws. So far so good, but if the core strips, I'll get a new one and get an updated version, I guess.

pro tip: the stting tool is actually just for the magnet adjustment system. the core is adjusted by lifting it up with your finger, so you dont have to carry the tool everywhere

The center caps on the pioneer are different from the standard and flagship. It was always like that since the first releases. They then just changed the other things later on to make it better

The pioneer has that adjustment thing for handheld adjustment white instead of clear so you can tell them apart
I got my Tonrado v3 2 months ago and I saw that it had a screw. I was excited to get it so I can remove the screw and mod it, however I got the one without the screws 😢

@@joshuaasuncion5098 I bought 5x1 strong magnets to super glue onto the torpedo of the edges, giving it a little push while you are turning, This is similar to the Gan 13's system with the edge to core magnets. I also found the corner core magnets to be relatively weak. I took one out and noticed that they were small and weak, so I took 2x1 mm magnets and super glued them over the corner magnets. Make sure they are correctly sized, otherwise the magnets would cause more friction due to rubbing to the ball shaped core.

@@mynameisnonofyourconcern9715 It doesn't feel too strong like the Gan 12 or 13, as it you need more strength to start each turn. However, with these repelling edge to core magnets, you don't feel it until you do half a turn. Sometimes it helps you finish a turn.

If you have pioneer, you don’t need flagship. I like the flagship more because of stability. The pioneer is slightly more flimsy.

When did u order? I did 3 weeks ago, hope its the 3rd batch like uuurs
1st - white core internally on the legs may strip corner to core does almost no effect, flimsy magnets
2nd - anti-strip (transparent core) + slight core strength, flimsy magnets
3rd - stronger core to core magnets, silent magnets, screw hidden
I received my Flagship v3 order in the first week of January (Australia) and it was the white core. Honestly thought it would have been a clear core but I guess there is still white core stock floating around.
I ordered mine on Amazon a bit before christmas (I mean I got it as a gift)
Where did you come by/seen the 2nd batch ones? I thought there are only the 1st batch and the 3rd batch from what I see?
I thought all the transparent core(newer version) had hidden/no screws, was there a 2nd batch that has transparent core with exposed screws?

all the tornados have the same exact box now the only difference is the tick on the back and the cube itself
My flagship tornado does not seem to have the clicks sound I believe it’s because of tension or other feature

Did you end up switching to the pioneer? I just learned how to solve a rubiks cube after Christmas on those standard cubes, then got me a moyu rs3m 2021 maglev. I am solving it in around 50 to 70 seconds now. But im having issues with control on this cube, I have an issue on my left hand so can't do u2 or d2 easy with this hand, so I need a fast cube, I feel like maybe the extra core magnets and magnets on the edges would help a lot with control and still have a fast cube to help with my u2s.
I did not switch to the pioneer, I still main the flagship. If you average 50-70, core magnets shouldn’t really matter. It would be better to just drill algs with double flicks so that you get better at them 👍
I just learned after Christmas too. Watch one of my favorite comedians on the Impaulsive podcast and Logan Paul solved it around a minute lol. I’m hooked now and can’t wait to get the Tornado V3 flagship. I don’t know how far you’ve advanced but now I left beginners method and do, white cross on the bottom, intuitive F2L, then 2 Look OLL and 2 Look PLL. I feel like this is the next step from beginners method.

I would avoid maglev. Tornado v3 flagship is my favorite right now (if you really want maglev, tornado v3 pioneer is better than the gan cubes imo)

I don’t think they changed it. I have the first batch and it has the clear plastic and the ball shape. It weird that it’s different from the flagship tho.
I don’t know. I believe that the design of the pioneer was changed, but I’m not sure when they changed it (it may have been even before you ordered yours due to testers reporting breakage). If you watch older reviews of the pioneer, it does have a screw.
Does the new batch makes a bug difference though?
Mostly just durability issues are fixed now (I had to replace the core in my flagship v3)

I like tornado v3 flagship the best, depends on which gan (12 can be just as good but v3 is easier to use). Flagship is better than pioneer

@@kevincabarangao9002 they are both very good. I prefer flagship since it’s speed works better with the cubes stability and feel. It’s not super flexible, stable, or fast, it is kind of a completely moderate cube. Nothing is too extreme about it (even the size is 55.5mm right in between 55 and 56 mm cubes). I would say v3 flagship is still one of the best cubes out rn tied with the ys3m ball core. 👍

@@kevincabarangao9002 haven’t tried the v9 yet, but it is likely to fit a more specific turning style (idk which cuz I haven’t used it before) which is common with the wrm cubes. The v3 is likely to fit almost any turning style. I would recommend the v3 flagship because it’s cheaper, but you should check out some reviews of the v9 just to see if it’s something you think you would really like

my pioneer have problem plss help me, my one corner to core magnets just gone missing because its falling off. same promblems happening to other corner pieces :(
The older batch tornadoes have core magnets that click into place and can be reattached. The corner-core magnets in the corner pieces are not supposed to come out, if they broke off just carefully use some super glue. If you are missing pieces contact the store who sold it to see if they can send replacement parts. Hope this helps!

I know this is old but I got my tv3 today and the clicking noise is from the springs inside the edge magnets and not the core springs. I put on just a little bit of lube inside each edge magnet slot without taking the piece apart and the noise is gone.

I have YJ MGC v2. Is buying tornado v3 pioneer worth it?
Most people would agree that the v3 is better than the mgc. Also I would recommend the flagship over the pioneer. It’s not a necessary upgrade to be fast, but if you have some extra money the v3 flagship is great
What is your setting in pioneer?
Tightest setting, max magnets (I had a hard time controlling it)

V3 flagship is better imo but gan 11 is good and some people prefer the feel of the gan

I want to but a new core for my tornado v3 standard suggest me some websites
TheCubicle.com sells a replacement core for the flagship version which should work for the standard it will just have core magnets that do basically nothing. You could also contact the store you bought it from and tell them the core broke and see if they can send you a spare.

Some tips for being sub-10 are:
-Fix your algorithms (use better fingertricks, learn new algs that might suit you better, and learn full OLL and PLL)
-Practice look ahead by doing slow solves before a solving session
-Watch faster cubers solve to learn new ways to solve certain f2l cases
