I visited Hong Kong in 2016 with my husband. Loved going to.the Peaks, travelling on the Trams, trip on a Junk boat and the night light show. Got the Asia bug and have now been to Singapore and Japan. Thank you for your videos guys 😀
I'm planning to visit Hong Kong in March, and your video is so helpful to me. Can you please tell me the name of the planning app that you used at 4:07? It looks really cool. Thanks a lot.
Great tips, thank you, we’re heading back for our second visit soon! As Aussies, have you never been to Yum Cha in Oz though, to know how it works? I’m excited to go back to somewhere that still has the trolleys as they’re getting harder to find now after COVID. I think I’m going to use some Google translate prompts though to make sure I get a pork bun 😆 Glad you had a great time, it’s a beautiful city and you’ve captured it nicely.
@@liliesandroses the trolleys are now vanishingly rare in Hong Kong due to the rental market pushing restaurants into smaller footprints. In the 80s and 90s they used to have giant restaurants with dim sum trolleys everywhere! I’m sure some local TH-camrs have the scoop on which places still have trolleys. Best of luck and enjoy your visit!!
There's a cafe in Soho called Amo Ago that I would highly recommend a visit ti. It's just off the Hollywood Road exit from the Mid Level escalators, and their Avignon breakfast is to die for.
0:53 How did you shoot this shot since it is tracking you? Did you have someone shoot it for you? Do you ever worry about someone stealing your camera when you put it down to shoot a shot of yourselves walking away? Not sure why this is what interests me the most about the video lol.
Genuinely curious about this. How do you store/backup/edit all of your media? If you’re producing anywhere from a half hour to two hour long video every week then this is anywhere from 1 - 3 hours worth of rushes every week! How do you back up your files? They must be very substantial. Also how do you upload your videos in countries with low internet speeds? Especially if the videos are in 1080p or higher? Sorry for the nerdy questions, I am genuinely interested!
These are all fair questions! right now we have a bunch of 1tb and 2tb SSD's - we've been transferring files onto 4tb HDD's when we're home! We're actually looking for something huge like a 10-20tb drive that we can leave all our archival footage on too! so far we've only lost one HDD worth of footage, it reeeaaally sucked but we immediately switched our working storage to SSD for safety!
FYI the Hong Kong Dollar is pegged to the USD, so when the AUD (I'm guessing you're Aussie by your accent) is weak against the USD it'll be weak against the HKD as well. If you had gone in 2021 (not that very many people were going anywhere then), for example, things would've been about 20% cheaper.
Welcome to my hometown Hong Kong, China. Highly recommend you make use of the 144-hr or 30-day visa free arrangement to visit Mainland China as well -- absolutely mind-blowing!!!!!
@JordanandEmily Glad to know that you're heading to Mainland China! Though in the same country, Hong Kong and the Mainland are under different systems. Do have you Alipay and WeChat apps ready, and also the Chinese Google map. Have a nice trip! 😊
@ we are planning on traveling there in 2026. If you have any highlights from your travels to the Philippines you’d like to share, that would be great. Love your videos.
Even though you travel in uninteresting countries lately, I still love the "down to earth" info from your videos. I also have to say that your editing and acting is getting a lot more "youtube"-appealing that the majority of the platform likes, personally, I prefer your older rawer style, but that is just my subjective opinion... still I love your publicly accessible content, and there is a lot of value in it, which is rare.
@@JordanandEmily i have heard it from three other travel vlogs when they review food. when you had the dumplings i thought "if they say 'pillowy' i will scream" :D

Ohh, we are definitely playing by our own rules for the country count, different flag, different visa, different government is a different country to us!
@@JordanandEmilyOk seeing this is slowly becoming toxic due to potential misunderstandings.. as a Hong Konger - yes Hong Kong is actually part of China which I’m sure you already know anyways. But at the same time as an SAR region we’re allowed a almost “Country-like” privilege and of course I really do like our unique autonomy. Anyways I’m grateful you visited my home city and I hope you enjoy every minute - whether sightseeing, leisure, trying our many delicious cuisine and such. Enjoy HK 👍
Travellers must be aware of TH-camrs are providing dishonest information about cities. They forgot to film all the closed businesses. Tourist areas in Hong Kong are have serious issues with urban decay. There are limited options for shopping as operating a business is unprofitable. These two delusional TH-camrs must learn to be truthful about their visits to different city. TH-camrs refuse to criticize anything because likes and view are more important than honesty. You will also notice a lack of racial diversity in the city.
Your content is always so well put together. Thank you for sharing your experience! ❤

You guys should visit Macau s well! Another country next to Hong Kong.

November!
