I'm from Germany and I came to Hong Kong in 1989. I planned 2 years and I'm still here after 30+ years. I love Hong Kong 🇭🇰 !
Today I live in the countryside and I work in the city. It's a good balance!
I got my motorcycle license here in Hong Kong and I love driving my bike here as I can get anywhere and park anywhere. Hong Kong truly is my home ❤
By the way, the 🍍 bun's are called like this because of the look and they are called "Bo Lou Bau" in Chinese.
I love Hong Kong food and next time you are in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, try the "Cheung Fan" for breakfast and "Dim Sum" restaurant for Brunch. It's the best.
And the country side of Hong Kong is amazing!
Hong Kong people are friendly and hard-working people. I know because I'm married to one 😊❤

I went to Hong Kong in May this year. As a Chinese, I think that HK is really different from the other cities in Mainland China. The beautiful view around Victoria Harbour at night left a deep impression on me, and there are so many tall buildings in Central, which made Hong Kong one of the most advanced cities in the world. And it is a humanistic city as well, maybe the sound of the traffic light is noisy and annoying for most people, but it is designed for those who have problems in their sight. I really love HK, and I also love your videos about China!

47:22 Last year, I visited HK for the first time. I fell in love with the city and its people. I was treated extremely well and felt very welcome. HongKongers seemed very nice and polite, friendly, accommodating, helpful, and hospitable, always ready to offer advice, tips, and recommendations. I have lived in South Korea for almost a decade and I happen to travel often to Japan. My experience in both countries has always been so great, I felt the bar was set very high. 🤭 I didn’t know what to expect of HK, but it knocked me off my feet. I am going back in two weeks and I hope this trip becomes an annual occurrence.

We visited Hong Kong on a cruise so only had a few hours! It was so amazing to the see the city and all the sky scrapers! We were excited for the Symphony of Lights...and were underwhelmed with it too..that hotel room you had was tiny...but enjoyed seeing your video!!

It is recommended to try to visit Chinese dim sum restaurants that have morning market specials from 8 to 11 a.m. or afternoon tea specials from 2 to 4 p.m. It is worth noting that you don’t necessarily need to go to Michelin in Hong Kong because Chinese restaurants usually serve barbecued pork and roast goose. It’s also good and worthy of mentioning Hong Kong’s famous authentic snack bowls, curry fish eggs and Western-style egg tarts.

As a Hongkongese here, I'm glad to see you enjoy your time in Hong Kong. It's lucky that the weather is super nice during your trip so you got so much amazing footages liked the sunset across the harbour and the harbour view at the Peak. And I can tell you're well-prepared and do lots of research before arrive. It makes your trip even more enjoyable. Love to see you in HK again and definitely there are more yummy foods you haven't tried yet. And we have many nature place and local spots you should visit (especially the mix of British and Chinese-style buildings & places) too. Love to see your footage and all your good words to our city. Thank you.

Used to accompany my partner to HKG for work trips and we always stayed at the Ritz Carlton which is above Element Mall. They have the best heavenly pool overlooking at the Victoria Harbour and just one train stop away to HKG island. These days the main tourists are from China.

OMG, this must have been awesome for you! We're jealous now 😂😂
Yes, we chose a wrong period to travel because there was many Mainlanders visiting HK during the Golden Week...

@JayandKarolina yes never go China or HKG during the golden week. Overly crowded and not a good experience.
If u guys are still in HKG, maybe can try to book one night at the Ritz Carlton just to experience it. I can never stay in a hotel like the one you stayed despite many will say a room is just for sleeping and most of the days will be out but I beg the differ :)

Thanks for the great video, you’ve shown us a different angle to look at our own city ! and frankly you guys spent quite a lot more than what an average HongKonger would spend, such as travel on Peak Tram. We normally go to the Peak via bus and mini bus. I suggest next time you come to go somewhere else less common to tourists, some remote islands such as Cheung Chau which is my favorite place to visit, you will see more traditional local living style. Also Lamma and Lantau island, and Sai Kung if you enjoy water sports and boating.

Hong Kong can be overwhelming. It's a huge city. You can get lost in it. It doe have that frentic vibe if that's what you like. Hope you guys are enjoying it. Love the the vlog. Well done mates!

Yes, it was a bit too much for us but only because we came during the busiest period - it was right after China's National Day and many Mainlanders chose to visit HK during the Golden Week afterwards... But despite of that, we really loved our experience and we're hoping to be back soon! 😍🥰

Love your video, clearly you can spot the difference between Mainland and HK. It is always intense and fast in HK. That is the reason why people will get rude sometimes. Still most of us re friendly. Just you can be sure that in HK, people can understand you.
