Some note to the fleetfooted potion. It doesn't give fall damage reduction, so you take fall damage every time you jump even with jump skill 0 on a flat surface. Another thing they didn't mention in the patch notes, the feather cape was nerfed and they removed the 20% jump height. So the only way you can safely use the mead is by wearing the feather cape. So they basically locked the extra jump height behind an expensive mead that you have to manually grind and has a very negative effect without using the very specific feather cape. They want people to use other capes than feather cape, but made a potion you can only use with feather cape. I don't think this is a good change, especially because my favorite usage of the cape is building for the extra jumping height and I won't chuck potions on cooldown just to have more fun building.
Also the bug repellent was something I thought sounded unnecessary, but we basically already have the poison resist mead for blobs poison, and cold resist for mountains so this is basically the plains equivalent to make the biome easier the first time venturing in
@@excancerpoik True, but deathsquitos do not spawn above water. They may spawn close to it, or slightly over it on the beach area. But you can stay far enough away from the shore in a boat to where it won’t be a problem.
I agree, this potion is basically useless. I'm not happy about the jump boost moving from the cape to a potion. I'll be modding this back onto the cape asap, I don't want to have to make these, let alone carry them. Bunny trophies are annoying to get.
The love potion affects random spawns of trolls (troll caves excluded) within 100m of any player who has the status effect active. If the troll spawned more than 2000 metres from the centre of the world it will always have at least one star. It also raises their spawn cap to 2, increases their spawn chance to 25% (this makes them more common, according to the wiki this is 5% by default) and multiplies the chance for a second star by 125% for each nearby player with the status effect (10% -> 12.5% for one player in default difficulty, and 15.625% for two players. There doesn't seem to be a limit for this, but I haven't tested it in-game at all because I have nobody to test with). Trolls spawned in the troll raid always get stars, even if they spawn close to the centre. Nearby trolls aggro automatically.
Did you notice if there were any changes when you drink a potion with any of the drinking horns? I was hoping they would make potions last longer if you used them, but I haven't had time to play lately. It would be funny if the bug repellent worked on seekers or the queen lol but probably way too op.
The crafting skill does not increase the durability of the items you craft. It just reduce the rate at which your hammer's durability goes down by 0.5% per level.
The disappointment is that these feasts aren't providing a similar buff. They are balanced but give lower stats for a little longer time. I'd probably still use them though but I do wish they give higher stats
I wonder if the Love Potion is for cheaper prices at the vendors you know I like you drank it and then you talk to the vendors and you get 20% offers something
I think someone told me that in the game files it's listed as meadtrollpheromones so it aggros trolls within a huge radius but they have hearts as if they're taming despite attacking you.
They dropped the ball on the health values though mountains should be higher than 45 eyescream alone that's why or they need to make one that includes that and bumps it up to 60 at least I don't think the feasts are worth it I haven't seen any extra benefit from those yet. They added cake from Minecraft basically the same thing mechanic wise. I'm not mad hor bothered I like direction they're moving in can tell this is getting ready for 1.00.
Yeah the idea is really cool but balanced stat items become less valuable the further you get into the game, hopefully they get buffed a bit to make them worthwhile

Much agreed. Already being so vulnerable to fire felt like a completely fair balance. Hopefully they'll change it back

you need to go there to get the fish in order to make it

Not just you, mine as well. Annoying when both of them sweep you away from the Witch trying to buy.
