Some examples of kicks include front kicks, side kicks, and round kicks, & Elbow strikes If you're close to your attacker and can't throw a strong punch or kick, you can use your elbows. For a powerful blow, you can stabilize yourself with your core and legs. When the person does the left hook at 3:15 ... instead of blocking, wouldnt be more beneficial to follow the wing chun model to intercept with a hand strike (palm) to the jaw as its a quicker direct path to the centerline? Also my sifu also said on some hooks are telegrapghed and if you are within range you can simply intercept the hook with a palm strike to their front shoulder. So if he gave a left hook, right palm strike to the front of their shoulder. Same movement as the first form. Thoughts on this in a real life situation? Respectfully, Wing Chun Student
