    The same to You Master Wong.
    Streetfight is not my cup of tea. But having spent over three decades on the mats mostly with karate, but also partly Judo and even boxing for self-defence, let me share my humble expereiences from trainings:
    -Beginners should be taught first in keeping a distance, may be using legs to stop kick , hands to put a bag or something between them, and run away ASAP.
    - Only intermedieates may allow the luxuery to stayi on place and accept the brawl, the experience you are treaching well.
    - And only advanced may volunteer Darting into close distance fights, where real experiences are needed.
    Wishing you all the best. Paul,69 retired instructor of Karate

  • @Gen965
    @Gen965 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Yes!! You're so right!, The main things i agree wit as well Master Wong is, Kicks can be effective strikes because they can keep your opponent at a distance. Some examples of kicks include front kicks, side kicks, and round kicks, & Elbow strikes
    If you're close to your attacker and can't throw a strong punch or kick, you can use your elbows. For a powerful blow, you can stabilize yourself with your core and legs.
    Slipping
    Also known as sidestepping, this movement involves rotating your body so that punches and kicks pass by your head, Thanks for the lesson as always Master Wong, ill catch on the next chapter my friend.🔥👊🏾🔥👍🏾🔥💪🏾🔥🙏🏾🪔💯

    When the person does the left hook at 3:15 ... instead of blocking, wouldnt be more beneficial to follow the wing chun model to intercept with a hand strike (palm) to the jaw as its a quicker direct path to the centerline?
    Also my sifu also said on some hooks are telegrapghed and if you are within range you can simply intercept the hook with a palm strike to their front shoulder.
    So if he gave a left hook, right palm strike to the front of their shoulder. Same movement as the first form.
    Thoughts on this in a real life situation?
    Respectfully,
    Wing Chun Student

    • @masterwong101
      @masterwong101  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely, intercepting with a palm strike aligns with Wing Chun's direct approach. In real-life scenarios, timing and distance are crucial. Master Wong emphasizes adapting techniques to match the situation, ensuring effective defense. Explore our channel for more detailed insights.

      Hi there! Thanks for your insightful question about anticipating punches. 👊 One key to recognizing an incoming punch is to pay close attention to your opponent’s body language and movements. Even subtle shifts in their stance can signal an attack is coming. 🧐 Practicing your reaction time and awareness in sparring can also help you become quicker at responding. Remember, the more you train, the more instinctive your responses will be! 💪 For additional tips on self-defense and awareness, check out our resources at www.wingchunmaster.tv Stay safe and keep training! 🥋

    • @masterwong101
      @masterwong101  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for your insightful question! It’s great to see your enthusiasm for mastering self-defense techniques. When I refer to "in line," I'm talking about the alignment of your body and movements during a punch or strike. This means that your punch should follow a straight path, ideally from your shoulder through to your target, maximizing power and efficiency. Master Chien always emphasized that true mastery comes from discipline and precision, which is essential when executing techniques like this.

    The best technique is the balls grabbing and pull hard 😝 I love it I always do it ! Nobody dare try to grab my shirt or even get close I go for the balls or for ears and pull hard I don’t care as long I win !
