Nice one! I had one charging handle break too, in exactly the same place as yours. Thankfully they replaced it free, but I'll consider this for a longer term solution!
For those who might want to buy an SP15 in the near future it may be interesting to know that Schmeisser revised their models. They fitted a similar charging handle as shown in the video and ditched that clumsy and britle crap. They also changed the angle of the grip and fitted an extension grip for the mag called the AlphaGripD. It seems that they didn't fix the pictures on their site yet because sometimes the old models stil appear. I ordered the new ultramatch model in april and was confused at first on which model I will get.
Hi Paul If you already have a Schmeisser with these handles, you can purchase another replacement spare for £75 via the importer. Replacement broken handles are no charge. However, I have heard that they will be fitting new rifles with a dog leg charging handle like mine in this video, but I suspect the will use the same way to attach it, which is where the weakness suits, could be wrong as I havent seen one up close. Their 9mm version rifle has that handle fitted now.
Probably nothing. Honestly I'd avoid Schmeisser if I could. Here in Norway they're the only option for a straight pull but otherwise i wouldn't consider such an unprofessional company. They're simply arrogant and ignorant in their communication. They'd glued the muzzle device on my rifle (with some mystery glue) and then told me they'd just hand tightened it. Friggin liars.
Hey man i'm not an English speaking native, i didn't understand everything, but does the Shmeisser SP 15 have some issues or defaults with any parts?? Thanks
The rifle itself is perfect, the version one Side charging handles had a weakness and were prone to breaking, Schmeisser have now resolved this with a better system.
Thanks for this feedback. I'm looking for a 100 to 300m range rifle, as you have already test ruger and tikka in 308, can you advise me if this 222 Schmeisser will be ok instead of a 308 ? merci
Hi John I regularly shoot this .223 rifle out to 500yds in competition, it will be fine.Note that you can get these with 14, 16.5, 18 and 20 inch barrels.

Some information I didn't no about. Looks a good rifle mi friend. Thanks for sharing 👍🔥🇬🇧
Thanks for sharing, I will buy a sp15 soon, heard the handle issue has taken care of.
It has yes, Schmeisser now supply a dog leg charging handle secured by 2 screws, its much better
Also the buffer spring in the SP15 feels way too strong for the rifle!
Interesting, not noticed, I guess you could remove a weight from the buffer tube assembly, thanks
great fix mate but what are Schmeisser doing to fix this flaw ??

Schmeisser have now changed it for a bolt on dog leg handle.
Correct, and from what Ive seen, they work well
Does it actually need side charge handle. Or can you leave it off and just use the top charge handle?
Hi Stan
Yes, you can use the T Charging Handle without the side charger fitted
