Great album. Used the play this on repeat back in the day, but have since lost the LP. I’d forgotten how fresh it sounds…. Particularly, ‘The World is my Ashtray’. Beautiful 🤩
Aaaaand now that I have listentoyoutube (dot) com, I have re-downloaded an album I purchased 16 years ago this August on my first trip out of the country alone. God, the memories of wandering London at night with this on repeat, on a discman at that.
I had 2 tape copies and 2 CD copies of this album back in the day. Loaned it, lost it, broke it, warped it - Replaced it. It was the OST to my life at the time
Wow - thanks for uploading this! Got this on cassette and vinyl. "All You Ladies" was a great track to ride out the end of the night with back in the club days.
this is the first album i found on a trash can and listened to obsessively and then found out months later one of my friends left it on the trash can cuz he thought it was whack and then heard all the breakbeats i produced because of it's influence and was like wtf :) ahh memories
I went to a deejay punk roc gig in Brighton and had the pleasure of meeting the front man. He told me that he was employed just to be the front man and to do the DJ gigs but didn't write or produce any of the music. Apparently the guy that made the music was called Jon and was from England and the DJ that I met who told me he was from brooklyn USA, we were supposed to believe they were one and the same. How strange.
I remember the time I was watching Quincy on TV during my post-grad uni days (15 years after getting this album) and being like "WTF! I know this line! Dee Jay Punk Roc"
Another gem you won't find on Spotify!
High school Soundtrack. Can’t find it anywhere, so finding this was cathartic😎
Underrated album. Pure brilliance. I bought the cd when it first come out.
One of the most important albums of my music influence. B-Boy gold
Was Paul’s Boutique another ?
Just a random guess……?

I will never be able to remember how I came across this album long ago, but I'm so glad I did.
