R34's are already a $250k plus car in Australia. The reality is they have now entered into the collectable market, so as Craig said, unless it's your dream car (or those seeing them as an investment), there's better performing cars for the money.
GTRs are essentially what Cudas, C2 Vettes, and GTOs were 20 years ago. The generation that grew up idolizing them hits their peak earning years and prices go up like crazy as a result. It won't last forever (just like the muscle car craze), but I wouldn't be surprised if the R34 hits 200k on average for a non-Vspec or M-spec. I don't think you'll ever be able to get an R34 for under 100k ever again.
That isn't how things work economically but sure. Muscle car pricing has completely died out except for powertour modded ones or low mile orignals. R34 have an insane price right now in the US because of scarcity due to import laws, the global pricing on these is most likely what will end up being the average and you can find these for under 100k in a ton of places around the world. There will be a boom when the floodgates open and then a drop off in a few years.
Doubtful. More go to China and the Middle East than the USA. The rush isn't only happening here. What killed the prices of american classics was global recession. That's the only thing that will do the same, here.
@@ShenmueAtheistI believe a short time after the R32 became legit, prices did take a slight dip but it was temporary. Prices quickly rebounded due to other places around the world wanting Skylines.
@@ShenmueAtheist they have, R32 GTR right now in JPY to USD conversion is $28,000 and dropping, R33 GTRs are at $34-40 and dropping. the problem is there is no set market value in in the States because majority of the so called new "enthusiasts" are clueless to a car barely a few people have driven or own (except U.S. Soldiers who was stationed in Japan during 2012 when they were 15k to 20k and have very mixed opinions on them) So sellers here in the States set the value for this cars for ridiculous sums to reel in new to the JDM scene car people who has the cash or scramble together the cash to get there hands on one.
I own an R34 GTR. I actually don't want prices to go any higher. The last thing I want is to have to decide between my dream car and paying off my house.
Hey man being an actual R34 GTR owner do you find the recent hype, and inflated prices worth it? I love the R34 but I find it hard to justify 150k+ for a 90s Nissan. It boggles my mind I could own my dream car (5th Gen Viper) or pay for again, a 90s Nissan. I know it’s more than just a “Nissan” but again the car is dated. Still hope to own one day but I doubt I’ll find it worth actually buying vs other cars in the same price bracket.
@@TheRenegade. not gtr, but former r34 gtt owner here. I bought one for around 5000 usd imported 7 years ago, owned it for a while, tidied it up and sold it for 14500 euros. I loved the car, regret now selling it, but they worth nowhere what people ask for them today, altough the gtr is a whole different breed. But gtt's are going for multiple times now what gtr's used to cost back then. They were a good car in it's own sense but just for example, when I drove at the german autobahn at the 180kmh limiter, I never forget how a mercedes cls wagon flew by me and looked a thousand miles more stable on the road at high speeds than my car was. I owned multiple skylines, supras, had the chance to strip the chassis and the skyline shell seems so weak, everything is too simple, meanwhile nearly all cars' shell after 2002 looks much more robust. So skylines are hyped up cars, whether I love them or not.
I own a late 2001 R34 GTR VSpecII in Bayside Blue. I bought her stock in Japan in 2007 and had her imported to Australia. She was my daily driver for several years and is nowhere near stock now. Only used quality Japanese parts and a great mechanic to build her and look after her for me. I drive her at least once a week and do occasional track days, although they have become few and far between in the last few years - mostly because work gets in the way! She is an awesome car to drive to the track, do some laps and drive home again. She cost me Yen 4.3m at the auction and AUD $72k landed cost. She has won awards at shows and always draws a crowd at Classic Cars and Coffee. She is not a garage queen. There is no point in buying these cars unless you drive them. And, no, she ain't for sale! 😎
Back in 2019 I imported a cheap 100% stock R32 GTS-T from the UK. It cost me 7850 USD and it's been at the body shop for over a year now. It had some surface rust, scratches and dings here and there, but after the bodyshop started working on it. I found out it was a big mistake buying that R32. Hidden rust under all the glass, quarter panels filled with body filler, rusty rocker panels and some shady rust repairs. So far the bill is 24.000 USD 😭
@@sopretty43vr So far I will be able to pay for it all at once, but it hurts man. When it's done it will be a brand new car and resprayed in nissan AH3 paint. All I can say is. Just because it's cheap, it might not be worth it in the long run, when buying an old JDM classic. 😂

@@candycouldntbesosweet you could never afford those under 40 before... What he probably means is old 911 models which are so expensive now. But he couldn't even put in the effort to type that out so who cares.
@@casualgamers3369 it's basic supply and demand, simply as that, so "there are never going to be more r34" is not a really strong reason since that apply to every rare car ever I can agree that Skyline GT-R R34 which only 11.000 units worldwide is very rare if you compare it to its competitor of same era (fellow 2-door sedan coupe) such as BMW M3 E46 which were produced in much more But if you compare it to low volume sportcar / supercar such as Lamborghini Murcielago which only 4.500 units then you can see Skyline GT-R R34 is not that rare since population Murcielago is not even half of Skyline GT-R R34 Yet, in quick glance, you can see that used Skyline GT-R R34 cost around the same as Murcielago, and I personally think it might cost more than murcielago when 2025 comes up. So it's totally a basic supply and demand and currently the demand of Skyline GT-R R34 is outstripping supplies fast and hard. And yes, there are never going to be more Murcielago, same case as Skyline GT-R R34
If you don’t make a solid 6 figure you should’ve bought one 5-6 years ago. They were around $60k when I was station in Japan. I made the mistake of getting a MKIV Supra but It still makes me happy.
You actually forgot to include countries aside from the UK and Australia that had R34s too. Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, UAE and many more. Here in Indonesia I've actually seen more than 10 R34s - a V.spec, few V.spec IIs (my favorite R34 trim), few V.spec II Nürs and even an R34 NISMO Z-Tune. (Yes I'm not joking, there is a NISMO Z-Tune R34 here)
I'm from Canada and in Fall 2013 I was up to buy a 1999 R34 GT-R Vspec in TV2 (Bayside Blue) w/ 91,000kms for $42,500 CAD + shipping from Ontario to Newfoundland for $2500. So $45k TOTAL to my driveway. 2014 hit, 1999's became legal and now they were $55,000... and every 6 months they went up $5000. By 2015 they were $65k, lower km examples $70k, higher specs more, etc, etc. I bought one after in Fall 2020 during Covid, arrived June 2021, and literally got 1 last second before the semi-sensible prices went from mad to insane to pointless to purchase. Lol
The entire reason we’ve all idolized the GTR is that it was forbidden fruit, and that it could compete with supercars for a fraction of the cost. With the floodgates about to open and prices already level with actual supercars from the same era I really don’t see what’s left to go. Excluding extremely clean outliers and special editions take a look at the results on sites like bring a trailer and you’ll see that the pricing of most golden era JDM cars isn’t nearly what the speculators are making it out to be.
Dude the Americans always ruin the prices of everything. Here in Australia, the 32 GTR's were fairly affordable, then when they were legal to be imported to the US the prices skyrocketed to ridiculous amounts, same thing with the R33 and now the same is about to happen to the R34. And its not JUST the Skylines, its ALL JDM cars, as soon as they hit the magical 25 year rule age, the Americans start buying them up left right and centre gobbling up the limited supply out there.
R34's were as cheap as £25k in the UK about 10-12 years ago. I think people were getting very clean examples imported for 40K. I wonder what scraps are left.
Looking at Top Rank's Japan inventory and you're not wrong...the few R34 GTR's they have in stock already are, at the cheapest, 150,000 with a VSPEC II at 270,000...Can't say I wouldn't be happy with the 25GT-T they have for 60k though.
As a person who will just dream of owning a Skyline. It's life people will just have it better than you. Congratulations to those who will be able purchase one and hope you will appreciate what others don't have.
I own the UKs “most powerful road legal RB26” R34 GTR. Stroked to RB31.5 I believe it may be the only one with that engine in the UK. It makes around 1200BHP and is without a doubt the best driving experience you’ll ever have for the money.
One thing people should realize is that you will not be able to sell some cars for the same prices that importers demand. Private sales will be a slightly different ballgame once the 1999 gtr’s are legal in 2024.
Born in '73, grew up in Australia and lived in Japan, for a time Skylines were everywhere. The non GT-R models were so commonplace in the 90's they got boring, just like a commodore. Now, drive a Holden Torana A9x and you have my attention.
I switched to liking more common cars years ago. There's no point in day dreaming about a car you will never own when there are a lot of options that are available to you right now that you can own. Honestly a lot of people who like the 240sx can probably buy a lot of cars that fit the same use case if their criteria is being RWD and manual.
@@casualgamers3369 exactly. the 33 gtst went up to the 30k range and I got a c6 for 23 and I decided the cost of ownership and aftermarket parts are way cheaper
While I always wanted one or the R32 I know I'll never afford those and instead focus on the cheaper versions or at least a 4 door R32. If that's not possible I'll take a Toyota Mark II then.
My dream garage is already full but if I were to buy one car that isn’t manufactured by Toyota, this would be the one. I’m good, though. Looking forward to seeing what the American car culture does with the platform.
hardly hakos are how old now and they are still around a 100k car. the longer time goes on more will get stolen, crashed etc and they will become harder to find just like a hako.
I don't think so. Considering there is a limited population of these vehicles. They won't make more, so the price doesn't seem to be able to go down. And once people start crashing them or banging them up, again pristine examples will continue to climb.
Since when does that happen? All the skyline GTRs will continue to go up. Demand isn’t going anywhere and supply is only falling. Hell ask anyone who owns one, the cost of ownership has even skyrocketed. Parts are more expensive standalone than just buying a whole car. People are paying and every time I drive my 32 by a group of really young kids they recognize it and freak out. That tells me demand falling anytime soon.
I mean look we had domestic supra turbos selling for 100k+ depending on the condition. Expect R34s to be at least double that if not more given the circumstances of them having to be imported.
What kind of parts> Performance part? Look at the stickers are on the car. All of those stickers are the companies that provided the parts. I thought that should be obvious. For maintenance items, Nissan or like spark plugs, NGK.
Even though that the R34 GT-R is my dream car I would have to wait to buy my stock bayside blue 99 R34 V-Spec until I have my post college career to even buy one because of how ridiculously insane the prices are for R34 GT-R. The most likely region for 34 is both southern portions of both California aka SoCal (San Diego, LA, San Francisco) and Florida (Tampa, Orlando,Bradenton, Sarasota my favorite Florida city, Ft Myers) and so on which is due to warmer climate and bigger performance car fanbase which includes Skylines in the regions of both California and Florida.
I don't see the prices of these going up much more than they already are. Right now they are expensive because of limited accessibility in the US - that scarcity is what drives prices up - once the flood gates open and they become easier to import and easier to obtain prices tend to flatline. The prices that people are getting them for in parts of the world where they are legal and fairly abundant will be the average price.
I doubt that. Nissan didn't make the r34 in the same numbers they made other cars at. By all metrics the GTR variant of the r34 is still considered a rare car.
@casualgamers3369 not really, the r34 gtr is basically just a japanese mustang. You might say "they didnt produce them in the same numbers" or whatever but for example in Australia, buying an SVT cobra mustang costs waaaayyy more than buying an r34 gtr. The prices are quite literally only hype inflation. We didnt get them here new so they cost a lot to import. Same can be said for just about any big name american muscle car for someone living in japan.
Highly unlikely as these cars were made in fixed numbers primarily for a Japan market that has now more global appeal and availability. If Nissan were still cranking these out I could see your point but the fact of the matter is that the prices will go up even more. I know, I own a bayside blue vspec and storing in Japan the last 3 years
Prices are already crazy here in Europe, much the same for any JDM icon. With the end of the internal combustion engine coming and the push for cars that sound like hairdryers the future looks bleak.
You should do a video on your perspective of the Supra's pricing and where you think the RHD models will go. Because of the GTR, will Supras still shine as a JDM legend?
Craig Liberman just shilling for Top Rank. Can spot advertorial from a mile away. Prices have been dropping a lot lately in Australia. No buyers, limited spending money in economy. Same for US. Plenty of cars in Japan have been on the market for months with no buyers also. Don't buy into the hype. Yes they are good cars, but not worth 200k+ being asked.
Never received a dime from Top Rank. You forget that Sean Morris was at MotoRex when I bought my GT-R. I endorse them, because I trust them. I guess If i endorsed an importer that I had never done business with you'd object to that , too.
I am owner of R34 GTR Vspec and R35 GTR. I bought r34 one second before price disaster😂. I am enjoying to watch auctions and prices how they attacking prices like for exotic supercars.
I think the only people that are gonna buy. These cars are mostly people from the early 90s and people from the 80s. A lot of people that were born in the early 2000s or young people don't really care about old cars.
He didn't do his research or he did and just decided to play up that thing for views. Lots of cartubers are buying flood cars and or claiming they got scammed in order to make videos when they actually haven't.
Nissan has played everyone better than any other Japanese car manufacturer. The foresight to continue supplying brand new parts and the ability to keep things exclusive has proved to be a master stroke.
prices will drop when hype demand drops, in 50 years they will probably be less than 100k, hopefully in 20 years nobody will hype them up anymore but you gotta ask yourself how you gonna service such car,who ia gonna properly work on it,where you will get parts for it and do you have a bunker to store it in since it probably will get stolen
Safe to say I'd be totally fine with a GT and outfit it to a GTR clone minus the emblems. Still have the Skyline R34 design, but won't break the bank with true GT-R prices.
Conversion upbadging is not rare and have been done, so it's not special case to Skyline GT-R R34. It's just like how 335i and C350 converted into M3 and C63 AMG I saw lot of sedan and wagon Skyline GT-T (ER34 and WC34) converted into GT-R looks, some even Z-Tune looks, few have RB26DETT engine swaps The most popular of course is the coupe body-styles R34 since most aim to converted it into iconic FnF Brian O'Connor Paul Walker Skyline GT-R R34 looks I can't judge since it's their money and cars so it's up to them but personally as long as you don't claim or lie to people that it's GT-R then it's fine. But I know that most true owner won't appreciate those kind of conversion since they have some sort of pride as real owner and think it's not acceptable to that kind of conversion
The R34 GT-t 2 door coupe is an awesome car at a fraction of the price. If it came from the factory with a manual transmission, even better. Manual RWD only skylines are heaps of fun.
Ngl i lose interest in them many years ago since i know they are illegal to get them here in my country, seeing them going up in prices makes me wanna cry since i cant get them
Supply and demand. Right now almost no R34 GTRs are in the US and big demand. Starting in 2024, they will be coming to the US and there’s definitely going to be a lot more supply so maybe the prices will go down. But yeah, we’ll see. To me, as much as I love R34 GTR, it’s a $30-40k car so I wouldn’t pay more for one of those. Much better and newer options out here, like V8 Mustangs and Camaro, ZL1 and GT350, etc.
They do it's called the r35. Nissan is not going to randomly start making a 90s version of a car they already have a modern version of. That would be like Chevy selling the 60s Camaro alongside the modern one. It wouldn't pass any emissions or safety regulations or be profitable.
They do, even till now. Just look up at Skyline Restoration Program. Nissan / Nismo can indirectly sell you via that program It's just the program starts at 400k USD and that's without the car. Yes, you can request Nissan / Nismo to source the car but rumour it will push into around 500k USD And that's just the starting price for base Skyline GT-R R34, it will going to cost more if you request and engine upgrade (RB26DETT N1, RB26DETT R2, RB28DETTZ2, RB28DETT F-Sport etc), a trim upgrade (V-Spec to M-Spec Nur etc), a limited paint (Z-Tune Silver, Midnight Purple), any accessories and features etc But at least you will get 1-year warranty for that. But now I know why some still choose to buy from other sellers instead of Nissan / Nismo, even if you bought a very clean 1 for 300k USD then it's still 200k USD cheaper compare to Nissan / Nismo program
I’m gonna be honest and piss some people off here, especially on this particular channel, but I absolutely hate the fast and furious franchise because not only do the movies suck (apart from the first 4), but they were responsible for driving the prices of cars that were once reasonably affordable to being so far inflated that only a certain tax bracket can afford them. Especially when some of the buyers were immature kids with mommy and daddy’s money at their disposal and got a RX7, Supra Skyline etc. and without the experience to know how to drive wrecked them making the number of those models even less. Take the 240SX for an example, these young kids bought them and attempted to drift them and destroyed them in mass making the number of them on the road plummet to endangered species levels
I’ve been wondering if this will drive up 32 and 33 prices. Lots of people seeing the 34s are legal and seeing them at meets wanting to buy one and realizing it’s not realistic, going to the 32 and 33.
Maybe in America it might but I doubt the prices will go up too much in other places like here in Australia. For the most part 32 and 33 prices here seem to be stable if not decreasing especially for GTRs, at the peak I was seeing R32 GTRs going for over 120k and now they're back down around 70-80k for the most part. Even R33 VSpec GTRs are going for around 80k here. Still too expensive and will likely never go back to the prices of 10 years ago but they are coming back down either way.
@@alexs5969 the problem is R34 is different case of R32 and R33, especially R32. R32 was known as Godzilla due to its racing dominance especially at both Japan and Australia touring racing championship at that era R34 is definitely not as successful as R32, but in term of hype it's the craziest hence the most expensive. It's the icon and hero of FnF Brian O'Connors Paul Walker fanbois cars, so I doubt it will going down in price, at least until 2030 I might be wrong and I do hope wrong since I wish R34 are going back to sensible price but judging from several ads selling R34 in several South East Asian countries then USA buyer better prepare to paying same price if not more else there's no reason to sell R34 to USA if other buyer in other countries are willing to pay more

the r34 gtr is in a different league, small quantity + being the final iteration its valuation reflects its cachet with collectors, the GTRs were specifically designed to beat supercars around the track, and they did, the car feels better than a GT2 RS or 458, jeremy clarkson on his topgear review of the older R32 said that it was one of the best cars he had ever driven, the R34 feels special to drive and imo is one of the most good looking cars ever built, a drivable piece of art - its only going up in value

I resent the implication. i've known Sean Morris for 24 years. I've been to their shop multiple times and i bought a GTR back in 2001 from the company that he was working for. Why not endorse a company with a good reputation?
Gtr’s are so stupid expensive that the appeal of them for me has hit rock bottom. And before someone says your mad because you can’t afford one. Yeah I am that’s the point. And on top of that most of these are never gonna touch the road again. Which is honestly worse.

I mean why the hell they ship and sell to USA or other countries that're paying less if there are other countries that are willing to pay much more ?? Even Nissan / Nismo is riding the hype by indirectly selling via Skyline Restoration Program. Yeah, it's a restoration program that starts at 400k USD, but you can request Nissan / Nismo to source the donor car for you and it probably estimate around 500k USD. That's the starting price, and gonna ballooning up real fast if you requesting an engine upgrade (RB26DETT N1, RB28DETT Z2, RB26DETT R2, RB28DETT F-Sport) or any special paints (Midnight Purple, Silver Z-Tune) and any other features and upgrades. But hey at least you gonna get 1-year warranty for that
Imho of any of the R32, R33, R34 GT-Rs: 1/4 of them: crashed, stollen, chopped, destructed, gone forever 1/4 of them: remain in Japan and will stay in Japan forever 1/4 of them: in collections over the world in Europe, Australia, Middle East, etc you name it, never to be sold 1/4 of them: on the market up for sale. Meaning a couple thousands. Much less then the demand. Which is driving prices up.
Yeah, I guess I can agree it's cheaper. But I still wouldn't call the r35 a cheap car to buy or maintain by any metric. Definitely it is objectively better which a lot of people don't like to admit because of nostalgia.
Sorry but this pisses me off so goddamn much. I understand the hype in the states for them. But this was like an attainable car for me now i can't even hope to come close to buying one unless it's been in a fire or something
With the demand now and the surge at the beginning of 2024, will Nissan in the US see the pportunity to offer support for parts on the R32-34s I wonder.
Nissan / Nismo though not USA already support the parts for it. It's called Heritage Program and yes Nissan / Nismo put RB26DETT back into production, just look it up Mind you it's different program from Skyline Restoration Program which you can indirectly buy R32, R33 or R34 or just to a complete restoration and upgrade if you already have the car
Yes, but now they already open the opportunity for you to buy in case you're serious, via Skyline Restoration Program The problem is, are you ready to spend more than 500k USD ?? And that's just the starting price, gonna cost lot more if you tick lot of upgrades, features and options
And yet it didnt even come with Nissans racing engines. At all. But it was in a movie and video games so obviously it's the bestest thing ever. Why would you want to pay for a more unsafe car you can get a band new car with a warrenty that's faster and more stable? Just get a Z with real racing history, and a longer one.

Wonder how many people will get told "rust is to a minimal" before their purchase 😂
Damage is to a minimum also. Lot of bent cars... And broken engines to boot will come in and break a few hearts.
So far the bill is 24.000 USD 😭
this is a bill you’re gonna be able to pay all at once? or they got you on payments lol
@@sopretty43vr So far I will be able to pay for it all at once, but it hurts man.

All I can say is. Just because it's cheap, it might not be worth it in the long run, when buying an old JDM classic. 😂
It’s a R32 GTST converted ???
*The R34 will be like a Porsche. You'd have to be +40 to even be able to afford one.*

I'm sure you're gonna see some with Bitcoin decals or something
You can buy a cheap Boxter or Cayman !?
He’s probably talking about like gt3s and turbo s 911s.
@@candycouldntbesosweet you could never afford those under 40 before... What he probably means is old 911 models which are so expensive now. But he couldn't even put in the effort to type that out so who cares.
Going to be an interesting year. I'm sure we're going to get flooded on social media with some good content about the good and bad experiences.
I think prices are going to go up, eventually they will equalize in a way, but never go "cheap" by any means of the word.
By the rules of supply and demand it's logical because there are never going to be more r34 GTRs made and the amount will only get less over time.
I hope that happens with Supras
@@casualgamers3369 it's basic supply and demand, simply as that, so "there are never going to be more r34" is not a really strong reason since that apply to every rare car ever
I can agree that Skyline GT-R R34 which only 11.000 units worldwide is very rare if you compare it to its competitor of same era (fellow 2-door sedan coupe) such as BMW M3 E46 which were produced in much more
But if you compare it to low volume sportcar / supercar such as Lamborghini Murcielago which only 4.500 units then you can see Skyline GT-R R34 is not that rare since population Murcielago is not even half of Skyline GT-R R34
Yet, in quick glance, you can see that used Skyline GT-R R34 cost around the same as Murcielago, and I personally think it might cost more than murcielago when 2025 comes up.
(Yes I'm not joking, there is a NISMO Z-Tune R34 here)
i guess that means even less supply for the states
I did not. I quoted the total number of GTRs produced by the factory.
Most of those non GTR R34s were destroyed after they became too expensive to maintain for JCI. They’re rare again in Japan.
I really wanted an R33 gtst but the prices came up compared to a year ago and I decided on a C6 corvette.
Prices on these cars will not drop. The average price will actually increase as the special models from 2000 and 2001 come on to the market
Don't think they'll sky rocket cuz loads of people are speculating with owning them now.
That will be an expensive Tiny Home 😂
My dream garage is already full but if I were to buy one car that isn’t manufactured by Toyota, this would be the one.
I’m good, though. Looking forward to seeing what the American car culture does with the platform.
probably crash most of them
GTRs: put them away in collections and keep them stock. GTTs: jack them up and turn them into fake GTRs.
Will they stabilize? Yes. But the prices sooner or later will depreciate.
hardly hakos are how old now and they are still around a 100k car. the longer time goes on more will get stolen, crashed etc and they will become harder to find just like a hako.
Depreciate? Unfortunately that's only in your dream. Especially with EV ridden future, r34 will keep their value pretty high in the future.
@@MikinGarage Real Hako GTRs with S20s intact will go for $300k now.
Expect R34s to be at least double that if not more given the circumstances of them having to be imported.
and wasn’t there 10s of thousands of supras made?
Well when pickup trucks cost 60k to 80k+ and the Acura "Integra" cost 70k with dealer markups what do you expect.
*Get an R33 or a MkIV Supra instead.*
Insert old white dude "Dude private this video!🤬" here 😂🤣😂🤣
And this man is not old compared to the people trying to buy them 🤣😂🤣😂
when you owned your skyline where did you source parts i need to get sr parts that certain websites i use dont have
What kind of parts> Performance part?
Middle Eastern collectors have been importing R34s for decades sitting on a Goldmine but most if not all have been converted to Left Hand drive.
Ask Kalvin Malli - they told him “Rust is to a minimal” 😂
I still love the R34 skylines but the prices are absolutely crazy.
supply and demand
Thank you Dino! This is THEE video series I've been waiting on!
Don't bank on that.
I know, I own a bayside blue vspec and storing in Japan the last 3 years
“scarcity is what drives prices up” 11K made divided by X amount of people that what them…
Prices are already crazy here in Europe, much the same for any JDM icon. With the end of the internal combustion engine coming and the push for cars that sound like hairdryers the future looks bleak.
Not ALL of them will be available Jan 1st. Customs declares how many are eligible for import based on the production date.
Wrong. As long as they are month and year legal they can come in
Correct, I said January produced cars.
Hey Craig is there any footage of the top rank r34 race car??? I’ve searched but not had much luck
That thumbnail 😂 that’s the dude from the original f&f from the street race. Man thinking bout that movie takes me back to a entirely different world
I think the only people that are gonna buy. These cars are mostly people from the early 90s and people from the 80s. A lot of people that were born in the early 2000s or young people don't really care about old cars.
No mention of warning for the tsunami damaged cars? Unfortunately, TH-camr Calvin Malli got shafted on his R32 GT-R. 😓
He didn't do his research or he did and just decided to play up that thing for views. Lots of cartubers are buying flood cars and or claiming they got scammed in order to make videos when they actually haven't.
I mentioned that some cars have been destroyed by natural dIsasters AND ALSO THE PEOPLE SHOULD GET TRUSTED PEOPLE TO INSPECT THE CARS BEFORE BIDDING.
@@corail53 almost sounds like you think it was justified.
Nissan has played everyone better than any other Japanese car manufacturer. The foresight to continue supplying brand new parts and the ability to keep things exclusive has proved to be a master stroke.
I always figured they would go up when the became legal in the US. Now the real question is when will the prices drop if ever?
prices will drop when hype demand drops, in 50 years they will probably be less than 100k, hopefully in 20 years nobody will hype them up anymore but you gotta ask yourself how you gonna service such car,who ia gonna properly work on it,where you will get parts for it and do you have a bunker to store it in since it probably will get stolen
Safe to say I'd be totally fine with a GT and outfit it to a GTR clone minus the emblems. Still have the Skyline R34 design, but won't break the bank with true GT-R prices.
i think that’s a bad idea, trying to turn something into something that it’s not
Conversion upbadging is not rare and have been done, so it's not special case to Skyline GT-R R34. It's just like how 335i and C350 converted into M3 and C63 AMG
I saw lot of sedan and wagon Skyline GT-T (ER34 and WC34) converted into GT-R looks, some even Z-Tune looks, few have RB26DETT engine swaps
The most popular of course is the coupe body-styles R34 since most aim to converted it into iconic FnF Brian O'Connor Paul Walker Skyline GT-R R34 looks
I can't judge since it's their money and cars so it's up to them but personally as long as you don't claim or lie to people that it's GT-R then it's fine. But I know that most true owner won't appreciate those kind of conversion since they have some sort of pride as real owner and think it's not acceptable to that kind of conversion
@@tommyLP750Tell that to women. They do it every day, literally
The R34 GT-t 2 door coupe is an awesome car at a fraction of the price. If it came from the factory with a manual transmission, even better. Manual RWD only skylines are heaps of fun.
Ngl i lose interest in them many years ago since i know they are illegal to get them here in my country, seeing them going up in prices makes me wanna cry since i cant get them
So do the show and display cars become fully legal at 25 years?
Yes
Even R33 GTR’s in the uk have gone up. I saw a Nismo 400R advertised for £1,000,000 in the Uk.
Nissan should start to make it again
They do it's called the r35. Nissan is not going to randomly start making a 90s version of a car they already have a modern version of. That would be like Chevy selling the 60s Camaro alongside the modern one. It wouldn't pass any emissions or safety regulations or be profitable.
They do, even till now. Just look up at Skyline Restoration Program. Nissan / Nismo can indirectly sell you via that program
It's just the program starts at 400k USD and that's without the car. Yes, you can request Nissan / Nismo to source the car but rumour it will push into around 500k USD
And that's just the starting price for base Skyline GT-R R34, it will going to cost more if you request and engine upgrade (RB26DETT N1, RB26DETT R2, RB28DETTZ2, RB28DETT F-Sport etc), a trim upgrade (V-Spec to M-Spec Nur etc), a limited paint (Z-Tune Silver, Midnight Purple), any accessories and features etc
But at least you will get 1-year warranty for that.
Holy crap iv never seen a Chanel die this fast
And furiously
When will r35 prices jump?
R32 was known as Godzilla due to its racing dominance especially at both Japan and Australia touring racing championship at that era
R34 is definitely not as successful as R32, but in term of hype it's the craziest hence the most expensive. It's the icon and hero of FnF Brian O'Connors Paul Walker fanbois cars, so I doubt it will going down in price, at least until 2030
I might be wrong and I do hope wrong since I wish R34 are going back to sensible price but judging from several ads selling R34 in several South East Asian countries then USA buyer better prepare to paying same price if not more else there's no reason to sell R34 to USA if other buyer in other countries are willing to pay more

the r34 gtr is in a different league, small quantity + being the final iteration its valuation reflects its cachet with collectors, the GTRs were specifically designed to beat supercars around the track, and they did, the car feels better than a GT2 RS or 458, jeremy clarkson on his topgear review of the older R32 said that it was one of the best cars he had ever driven, the R34 feels special to drive and imo is one of the most good looking cars ever built, a drivable piece of art - its only going up in value

They have always been crazy for that sedan based “sports” car.
yep, this only happen to Skyline GT-R R34, specifically. Even the hype is slowly spread to lower trim coupe such as GT, GT-Four and GT-T
but the sedan version and wagon version, ER34 and WC34 are still affordable. Guess they only prefer the coupe version much more
I thought there are no GTR models now legal this month?
I mean since Skyline GT-R Z-Tune R34 rumourly sold for 2 million USD from Thailand to USA owner then you know it's gonna be crazy and nuts
Hell, I saw an ads at Indonesia (or malaysia I forgot), a south east asian countries that the seller asking for 500k USD for a non Nur Nissan Skyline GT-R R34.
But hey at least you gonna get 1-year warranty for that
Man.. Just when I thought they were affordable.. LOL!!!
Imho of any of the R32, R33, R34 GT-Rs:
1/4 of them: crashed, stollen, chopped, destructed, gone forever
1/4 of them: remain in Japan and will stay in Japan forever
1/4 of them: in collections over the world in Europe, Australia, Middle East, etc you name it, never to be sold
1/4 of them: on the market up for sale.

@@casualgamers3369 when you can get a 2017 for a hundred grand and a 1999 for $300,000 it’s cheaper lol
Sorry but this pisses me off so goddamn much. I understand the hype in the states for them. But this was like an attainable car for me now i can't even hope to come close to buying one unless it's been in a fire or something
Are you getting one?
Well the cars have oldtimer worth, but not now! bc of that fast and furious youtuber import trend!
With the demand now and the surge at the beginning of 2024, will Nissan in the US see the pportunity to offer support for parts on the R32-34s I wonder.
no, there’s still only 11K made…worldwide
Nissan / Nismo though not USA already support the parts for it. It's called Heritage Program and yes Nissan / Nismo put RB26DETT back into production, just look it up
Mind you it's different program from Skyline Restoration Program which you can indirectly buy R32, R33 or R34 or just to a complete restoration and upgrade if you already have the car
You know Nissan should be ashamed of themselves for only producing that many R34's honestly.
Yes, but now they already open the opportunity for you to buy in case you're serious, via Skyline Restoration Program
The problem is, are you ready to spend more than 500k USD ?? And that's just the starting price, gonna cost lot more if you tick lot of upgrades, features and options
Spot on my friend 🎉
what about the 2.5l 2 door er34
The R34 bull run is finally among us. Too bad I can only afford a g37.
I’m in at the 48k price 😂😂😂
And yet it didnt even come with Nissans racing engines. At all. But it was in a movie and video games so obviously it's the bestest thing ever. Why would you want to pay for a more unsafe car you can get a band new car with a warrenty that's faster and more stable? Just get a Z with real racing history, and a longer one.
every jdm nugget price go through the roof
It’s come to the point where I just don’t care about JDMs from this era anymore.
R33 is honestly the way to go instead of the r34
The millenium jade r34 sold in Australia recently sold for $299k USD. Not $455000 as you reported. That price was AUST Dollars. You must have some R34s that you wanna talk up the price. I don't blame you.
Sold for 455usd came from Sydney Australia u can check for yourself on being a trailer website it states usd
@billetime170 wow. I guy i know recently sold his in Melbourne for $455k AUD, l thought it was that one, sorry.
@@andrewsots Melbourne one did not sell he wants 585k aud for it
@@billetime170 He sold it at auction in March. Might be the same one being flipped.
Melbourne one sold 1 week ago 650k aud. Market still strong
I’ll pass, it would just be kept a garage if I did get one.
I don't care about these cars, but I liked Whistlin Diesel's Skyline videos!
beaks my heart been my dream car since i was little
