Financing for 10-15 years is wild, with your 144 month example that's 97k in interest over the life of the loan. I know their is an ass for every seat, but I really hope people aren't doing loans for that long.
That math is pretty seriously incorrect. In generally, the idea is that you don’t pay it off over the entire term of the loan you would pay it off which ends your interest or you enjoy the car for a couple years and then sell it
@@BrianJannusch not a good look. Go calculate it yourself, it’s over $80,000 interest alone. I realize that in theory you’re supposed to pay it off earlier, but this is definitely predatory , and relies upon taking advantage of peoples ignorance and foolishness. It’s OK to offer a service, it’s different to encourage it.
@@andrewy3711 I am showing 70k in interest using 9.5% and 120 months. Still high...not sure if it is worth it....however, when rates start falling, these things will likely go up in value as people start hunting for them with better rates available.
To anyone is considering this financing plan: just don’t. Stick to the 20/4/10 rule if financing a vehicle. Anyone who tells you differently is prioritizing their own finances over yours.
Agreed..Most people financing have the cash to buy but would rather keep it their pocked and let the car appreciate at a rate higher than the interest rate. I don’t think anyone should go in debt over a car, for some it’s a smart option
Yeah these are great cars but I wouldn’t finance these as they wouldn’t be my daily. I financed my MKV Supra but it’s my daily and under warranty. One day I’ll buy a classic GTR like one of these but would buy cash.
These vehicles are extremely way over priced thanks to these companies who smartly hoarded them. I mean 160-220k for a stock vehicle with 50-60,000 miles lol…..,,,,, but look at the hellcat industry so good luck economy and debt
Crazy how expensive these are. 160k and 100,000 KM on it. Is this really a 160k experience? You’re in GT3 territory and getting into GT3RS money. I mean a new GTR is 125k. Crazy. Will definitely be interesting to see what happens with these prices once they start being listed on public auction sites in the US. How much more can they appreciate!? Is a 99 Nissan with 125Km going to be a quarter million dollar car 10 years from now!?!
For some people the answer is yes, for some is no. Depends on what you want I guess we just try to find the good ones and make them nicer and available to the people who want them.
Great information definitely up there in price but sadly the prices will only go up not down only car collectors or people who know the market will realize this.
"our mark-up is 500% and we're trying to secure our kids' financial futures as you die with our loan.. here's how you can do it" lol, what do you think 'top rank' pays for these cars? the yen is way down - which is why 'top rank' is buying as many as they can right now and trying to cash in as 2024 is the 1st year of the R34 GTR.. I'm SO glad this video was created, because ppl will now realize just how stupid and greedy importers are and the tide will turn against them. i hope their inventory just SITS. this is absolutely ridiculous and i hope ppl choose to buy houses instead of skylines! fucking mortgage rates are lower than this! That beautiful Bayside Blue R34 is a 300k car by the end of 2025. People are finding out these are street legal race cars and the prices will reflect accordingly, IMO. There are some beautiful cars out there, but there is only one GT-R. They are that good and make the hairs on your arms and neck stand on end under full acceleration. Bruh I want the Evo! Thought you couldn’t find those out in the world no more. Only see two in Vegas that are clean and working. My dream car is an Evo 9 MR
I mean, that is what a monthly payment on a car in this price range just in general is. And actually being able to finance it out at that long of a term really makes the payment actually lower than what you would get if you went to buy something new in this price range.
Any way you can go over the process making these cars CA legal, expense to make it legal along with some feedback customers have had with this? For example, if they get harassed by cops, how often are they driven and all negative experiences (if any).
So you are using Woodside… Great cars and was hoping to get one soon, but financing a car for 15 years at 10% . That’s 16k /year just on interest.. the car will NEVER be worth what you paid for it. Just interest will cost you 200k over the loan timeframe.. add the car .. 360k … You are paying another GTR just in interest.. Great video though…
Good day @brian so when you list the car, do the maintenance were done already to the car? And if I wanted to buy one that is not import ready yet, as far as maintenance will it be included with the monthly fee while storing it in japan? And if i wanted certain parts replaced with the car how does that work?
With financing on your inventory in Japan, do you have a set dollar price or do you convert on the yen price listed with the current exchange rate on date of purchase?
We go based off the exchange rate on the date of purchase so prices do sometimes get recalculated to a lower number, just can’t change them daily on the website
Don't think either of the white R34s in the video are his. The one on the lift doesn't have the Midori engine and his doesn't have Advan stickers like the one outside.
We have one currently here at our shop in cypress but we haven’t listed it yet. We also have another in Japan. We should I’ve able to get an exemption for emissions because it’s close enough to being exempt by age
$160k is actually wild Bought my first 34 in 2020 for 9,000 usd Then bought my second in 2022 for $1,200 from military base impound lot in okinawa. Both are legal now and on the way here
Ok but these are GTRs and GTRs have never costed 9k or 1,200 for that matter and I don’t think there is anyone on earth that thinks they have but yes for a GT AUTO NA ect… even years ago a GTT was cheap… but prices went up. I don’t make up the prices in Japan
@@BrianJannusch i understand. I just believe the gap between gtt’s and gtrs is not viable anymore. 25k for a manual gt, vs 160 for a base model.. 90% of the body is the same. 34 gtr drivetrain is 30-40k at max, 80k for fully built drivetrain.. math doesnt math Mr. Jannusch but thats not your fault i know.
