H20PM, "...faith without works is dead," James 2:26. If you want "this" in Zimbabwe then you need to do what the Senegalese did. You will not get it by spending most of your time on your knees praying. Get up and get to work!

It is unfair to expect SONKO to play more executive roles or serve as a defacto president, some greedy politicians would have abandon him in jail to enable them have "political freedom", but FAYE didn't just released him but also gave him the highest available political office.

The countries with military leader re doing the work for their citizens that's what matters to a common man who's desires id to just feeed his family, good health, school and sense of belonging.

I would love to see an African country with a true democracy i.e. one without political parties. A true demos kratia (people rule) system.
One where the local representatives are elected by their constituents and are therefore responsible only for and are loyal to their constituents as opposed to a party and its leader.
The President/Prime Minister can be anyone who meets the qualification who present themselves to the people who vote for their choice.
Briefly stated, with a proper checks and balance system, corruption and misappropriation of funds would be a thing of the past!

There isn't such a bleak reality for the bright and liberated minds of this generation as some may assume. Perhaps the best decision to the mundane is interminable service to the colonial masters with wishful thoughts of their goodwill. I beg to differ though and as well hope that the thoughts of the new leaders are refined beyond any possible regress those who love to hate a liberated Africa could imagine. France need to leave Africa alone, period!
