However, I have never seen a situation whereby another commentator/intellectual takes advantage of his comments to make politicians and stakeholders accountable.
Dr Doyen, if you say you never knew BAT will win APC primaries, then it shows how backward you are as a politician, therefore all ur submissions tonight is meaningless because you hv eyes but you lack vision. Listening to Doyin Okupe, it is obvious he out of touch with reality. To call Obi his brother and at the same time say the vision they once shared together has expired, is self deceit and dishonesty of the worst kind. Obi by virtue of these two attributes is definitely in a different league of politician. Dr. Okupe everyone knows the role you played in trying to promote Peter Obi and his Obidient movement, therefore there is nothing that you reveal about what happened that would be considered false because you were the strategist. Everyone knows that LP was a vehicle for Peter Obi because no one joins a party and within a week he becomes the the presidential candidate of that party. Also the non-structured nature of the party was an indication of how far Peter Obi will be able to go. As rightly admitted now the party was unable to cover a lot of the polling stations during the elections and that was part of what most Nigerians meant when the say the party had no structure. Peter Obi used the party as a vehicle but failed to publicly admit that till now. He has been very silent about the crisis in the party until today when he openly endorsed Mr. Abure and the National Working Committee of the party. Also he kept Nigerians wondering what he is up to, whether he will remain in the party or he will defect or form a party under the Obidient movement. The transparency has not been there on his part. The LP were not aware of the fact that it was being used as a vehicle because they are satisfied with the popularity Peter Obi and his movement brought to the party. This is the cause of the fight between the NLC and LP. How Peter Obi intend to get around this and still use the party as a vehicle in 2027 is yet to be seen.
Your argument may seem valid but could have been acceptable to most of us if you had acknowledged that INEC was a factor in the loss LP suffered because of the issue of the criminally nebulous "technical glitch" which was executed to deny Obi of sure victory. LP, whether an SPV or not, won the election with Peter Obi as its candidate and the Obidient Movement as a Tsunami-like force. If the results had been allowed to flow seamlessly and uninterrupted into the realtime viewing portal, these latest stories of a Doyin Okupe would have been quite different.
