@@constructionpainter4733I agree! I myself used a pole on certain accommodation like student new build ! But new housing i used my old faithful tip a heavily worn 723 yes extremely fast but I grew into the size over time.
Oh everything got one coat, I used Titan 640 then I got the 1140 , plus housing was always magnolia white so I sprayed ceiling last and then cut in by hand, I would if possible do two large at same time with two 2x 15 meter hoses so in effect a 30 meter hose. With bigger machines you can use longer hose so you don’t need to move the sprayer! Always used the low boy low rider cart I never used top loader high cart it’s useless too messy. One needs half a water barrel for mixing the emulsion 150 litres of mixed per go for bigger jobs. My record was 600 litres a day with pole on new build university. So 4 mixes.
Confusing message there yes gun only on new build houses because it’s tight, on university accommodation new build I used meter pole with trigger had tucked at waist because it took near on ten hour day to unload 600 litres of mixed paint and arm ache was a thing. At the university it was internal precast concrete walls so wow one coat over dark grey ral 9010 blitzed eeeeeaze! What a time!
*@debbieweight2171* Obviously she hasn’t got a clue about a mistcoat, probably best to engage your brain first & not comment on something you haven’t got a clue about 🤦🏻♂️ It’s like that because 1st of all it’s wet & second of all it only a mistcoat (base coat) ready for the painters to come in after the plots all been second fixed ready for us deckies to wallop out, plot that’s size would be an easy 3/3 & half days to paint completely to a finish.

I like the way you are holding the sprayer...
That 390 packs a punch. I have one and it takes up very little in the van too.
Yes it’s nice little machine, not too heavy as well 😉👍
That looks excellent for prime coat. In any case if you wanna spray the final coat, backrolling is required.
Looks good 👍
Thanks 👍
what kind of primer and how much did you use for this?
Besides putting your paint through a filter... I'm assuming you did that???
Did you dilute your paint also for this application?
Yes I have two filters/one in a machine, second in a spray gun. Dilution depends on brand used/ yes i do put some water 💦

Thank YOU for your reply.
I really like this Graco 390...
When you work like this... do you charge by the square foot... or by the job... or by the hour?
Paid by job, calculated by square footage.
12 inch tip extension req
Save your back trust me
Yes I know but in small areas just doesn’t work (like cupboards) 👍 I normally use them when ceiling is higher.

Gotta prime and backroll then two costs of finish paint to achieve the true sheen and make touching up perfect
As streaky as the bacon I av for my brekky 😮

It’s a mistcoat, doesn’t matter 😉

Are you applying paint or primer?
Mistcoat-primer
Did that cover in the one coat ?
It’s just a mistcoat- first coat, one more will follow after other tradesmen finish.
