I have great respect for Auburn & Georgia. But here is a good question. Why were 2 Auburn players ejected & had to miss half of their next game and not ONE Georgia player was ejected? Georgia's player started it while trying to injure Fairley & then their sidelined cleared & were all on the field. No penalties for any Georgia player. I'm not saying Auburn's 2 players shouldn't have been ejected, but why none of Georgia's?
Shame they didn't go after Fairley's knees; he desperately needed to be taught a lesson. Comforting to know he washed out of the NFL; hopefully he's broke and sweeping floors. A little humility goes a long way.
If you watched the rest of Auburn's season, you would know that Cam was not "blowing kisses" or "playing dead." He did that in every game. As for the "blowing kisses", he's warming up this hands before the play, and by "playing dead", he's just resting after the play. We were trying to burn clock at that point, we were in no rush. And he made it obvious he was not hurt. So what's the harm? Do some research before you assume things based on one game.
I can't even watch all of this. The fact that Chizik and his staff did NOTHING to correct Fairley's behavior says it all. This behavior could have definitely been coached out of Fairley. Instead, they celebrate it and hang a banner of him outside Jordan Hare in 2011. If you can be proud of that kind of player and coaching, you deserve this awesome 1-4 start in 2012.

I refuse to just accept that UGA played a clean game. They got called for more personal fouls than AU did. Of all the colleges I have visited in my sixteen years on this earth, UGA is one of the most hospitable places for away teams. Better than Auburn, Bama, Stanford, Tenn, Colorado.

Let me try again. The injured GA player was able to run all the way to the sideline before being told to fall down at the last second by his coaches. That's why we were booing. Not because he was hurt. And aren't the refs responsible for calling dirty hits?

First "late" hit to Murray. Full speed there is less than a 2 count from when the ball leaves his hand, until he is "hit", and it is incidental contact from a block.

This game made me despise AU. Not because of the players, because the fans absolutely loved the violations.

No matter which college team you are a fan of, you have to admit that Fairley and Cam Newton's "dirty" plays definitely should have been penalized. Yes, Georgia should also have been reprimanded more heavily for their attack on Fairley, but if the dirty shots on Murray had been called, that probably would not have been an issue in the first place. Lets be honest, that game was poorly reffed...
fairley has been a non factor in the pros and hasn't been very dirty because he knows that his knees will be cut and his career will be over when he does.

I have great respect for Auburn & Georgia. But here is a good question. Why were 2 Auburn players ejected & had to miss half of their next game and not ONE Georgia player was ejected? Georgia's player started it while trying to injure Fairley & then their sidelined cleared & were all on the field. No penalties for any Georgia player. I'm not saying Auburn's 2 players shouldn't have been ejected, but why none of Georgia's?

Comforting to know he washed out of the NFL; hopefully he's broke and sweeping floors. A little humility goes a long way.
oh and Trooper Taylor wasn't celebrating he was trying to get Nick Fairly off the field before he got call with another penalty
If you watched the rest of Auburn's season, you would know that Cam was not "blowing kisses" or "playing dead." He did that in every game. As for the "blowing kisses", he's warming up this hands before the play, and by "playing dead", he's just resting after the play. We were trying to burn clock at that point, we were in no rush. And he made it obvious he was not hurt. So what's the harm? Do some research before you assume things based on one game.
I can't even watch all of this. The fact that Chizik and his staff did NOTHING to correct Fairley's behavior says it all. This behavior could have definitely been coached out of Fairley. Instead, they celebrate it and hang a banner of him outside Jordan Hare in 2011. If you can be proud of that kind of player and coaching, you deserve this awesome 1-4 start in 2012.

In some of these hits it looks like he's trying to END Aaron Murray's career. Not that there's anything wrong with hitting someone hard, but half of these hits on this video were INCREDIBLY late. This guy is going to be fined some serious coinage and handed harsh suspensions if he continues to do this crap in the NFL.
I refuse to just accept that UGA played a clean game. They got called for more personal fouls than AU did. They got called for a chop block against Fairley in the 2nd quarter which probably set him off. Then they intentionally put a hit on him at the end of the game to start the brawl.
They also got called for a chop block in their bowl game so obviously it wasn't an accident it's something they do.

I agree with the AU fan. This is football not golf. In 2011 the Dawgs took their revenge by beating the hell out of AU, so that is 5 out of 6 against AU.
two things... one, dawgs fans are forgetting the real issue here; that auburn hung 49 on their ass. Two, (and this is even bigger than the first point), Coach Taylor was trying to get Fairley's cocky ass off the field; not celebrate with him for fighting...
yeah,were you at this game? I was. Did you notice how one of the UGA players faked an injury off of the SIDELINE near the end of the game? Did you see how both of the fights were started by UGA? It's a huge rivalry in the south and things happen but UGA showed terrible sportsmanship and didn't represent the SEC well. Auburn players on the sideline did not step onto the field ONCE when the fights started. However,the whole UGA team was on the field in seconds once they began. WAR.DAMN.EAGLE.

That's right, UGA. The first play of the game was a UGA personal foul and UGA never stopped. The hit in the back was retaliation and completely understandable.
And last question, who got in a fight the next week before kickoff? Auburn at Alabama or Georgia and GT? Answer, Georgia. Classless dirty program on and off the field.
You mean the 3 National titles Auburn has (1913,1957, 2010) compared to Georgia's 5 (1927, 1942, 1946, 1968, 1980). Georgia also has a better win lose record overall. Auburn 718-405-47 (.634), Georgia 752-400-54 (.646). And that isn't even counting this season. Stay strong this season...lol.

War Damn Eagle, but damn this was a dirty game on auburn's part. I'm glad fairley isn't on the team anymore. He's a great player, but extremely dirty.
Anyone who says that Fairley is "good" clearly doest know anything about football. He is alright, but he is one of the dirtiest players I have seen. He can get un big trouble in the NFL if he doesnt watch himself, he just has to ask his teamate Ndamakung Suh(really good, but sorta dirty).
