  • www.TailboneDoctor.com Patrick Foye, M.D. discusses coccyx sit-stand X-rays (sitting versus standing X-rays) for patients with tailbone pain (coccyx pain). Showing an example where the regular standing X-rays look normal, but seated X-rays show a severe dislocation. For more information, go to www.TailboneDoctor.com. For Dr. Foye's book on tailbone pain, go to www.TailbonePainBook.com

For those who are interested in my TH-cam videos on coccyx pain (tailbone pain), I have ~ 50 videos there. It's probably a good 5-6 hours of free educational content all about the coccyx. You can find these coccyx videos at this link: / tailbonepaindoctor

I live in Canada. My doc sent me for xrays of my coccyx. I had already known to get xrays while sitting. But when I got there the hospital would not do that. Only standing and laying down. I told them that's totally useless and she told me it's not even in their procedures to do that. It appears we don't have any specialists here in Canada anymore for Coccyx pain. So I don't even know what to do now.

Thank you for this!!! Of course my pain management Dr told me my tailbone looks great! But it hurts so bad! I get pain shots in my tailbone but this last one didn't work. I sit all day for work. I wish I had the funds to fly and see you but just running across this video is golden! Thank you so much!!! I know I'm not crazy!

Good information. How do we resolve such a medical issue doctor?

I am a paraplegic. I have been dealing with this for 2 years. They laid me down to x-ray me and, like you said, I was told that my x-ray was "normal". I can feel it with my actual fingers but no doctor has manually examined me. I'm now going to get my chiropractor to do a seated x-ray on me (because I probably couldn't get it down through traditional medical care). I have no idea how to fix it after diagnosis though 😢. But thank you so much for giving me proof that I'm not crazy

I have what feels like a jagged rock I'm sitting on. My MRI showed a 5.8 cm retrorectal cyst that was removed last week but was hoping that cyst was the cause of coxxyx pain. I also have permanent numbness in right leg, bladder and bowel issues and a large dimple above the painful area.

Even though the workers compensation "Return to work" website, advised "Sit-Stand Dynamic X-ray" for investigation, I was deliberately refused any investigation. God Help any injured worker with tailbone trauma / coccydynia that has workers comp involved in their medical care. WHY? because their slogan: "We Deny, Lie, Falsify...Hope You Die"

Omg I need you in my life. I am going to fight to get a sitting x-ray! This video was the story of me... except without getting sit down results! Doctors say its impossible to do a sit x-ray. Gunna bring some info into them!

My coccyx broke during childbirth in 1974. Had severe burning throb while sitting for months after so orthopedic surgeon removed it 11 months later. Since then I have burning while sitting (not quite as bad as before removal), worse if I'm leaning slightly backwards. Now have sciatica as well. Wondering if this is possibly related and how the burning of tailbone can be helped. Thank you.

I've suffered with pain for two years and I am just now getting an x-ray for standing and sitting. Hoping it's not permanently damaged. It hurts so bad when I am driving in my car to work which is 2hrs every day coming and going.
