That's a great looking Schnitzel. Capers and anchovies are very oldschool, traditional, toppings. You do not see that at ever place. Lemon is the most common. The citrus is supposed to help with digestion of the fat from the frying. It's often the only item provided. Lingonberry is called Preiselbeeren, but is not served everywhere. Kind of impressive that this place gave all the options. And that has to have been the biggest caper (Kapern) I have ever seen. I have only encounters the small once in any dishes I know of with capers. Glad to hear that it was a good value as well. Airport food is so overpriced, at least in the USA.
I didn't even know that they served lingonberry with schnitzel. And yes airport food is very expensive, but it’s a little bit better nowadays with alternative such as 7eleven for example. You can get a snack for reasonable prices, but not as delicious as this schnitzel 😄😋
Did you notice how the potato salad here looked more yellow than white? This is the southern German variant based on vinegar without mayonnaise. In contrast, the creamy-white potato salad you had from a street vendor in Berlin three weeks ago was indeed the northern German variant based primarily on mayonnaise and often containing diced pickled gherkins.
@@dananna8614 It´s basically a classic Wienerschnitzel, but with another sauce... iirc "Jäger" means that the sauce is a brown one with mushrooms... I also recommend trying it with "Pfeffer Soße" (=pepper sauce)
Well NOW were gettin' somewere!! 😅😂 That one looks pretty decent. If ever trying that dish again, make sure to squezze the lemon as soon as possible in order to not ruin the crust 😊
That ist a normal Wiener Schnitzel. The supplements are traditionell and the size also.
It’s huge 😃😄 we have never eaten this with lingonberries before, but it was delicious 😋
@@dananna8614 I told you 😊 it matches good 😊
@ so true 😄👍
This is how a Wiener Schnitzlel should be!
We totally agree 👍

It was a caper fruit, that's why it was so big. The small capers are closed caper flowers
@ 👍 nice to know

It so interesting to eat the same dish in different places, to feel the taste 😄
Try the Jägerschnitzel 👍
Thank you for your advice, what is a jägerschnitzel?

Will do!! 👍👍
Almost as big as the ones on the weekend menu at Arontorps kroppkakor on Öland. but there it's pork snitzel. You have a food coma after one of these.😅
The decoration on the Wiener Schnitzel is called "Wiener Garnitur".
Yes now that's a Wiener Schnitzel 😊
A humongous one 😄😄
But it's big. This portion is for two Vietnameses 😂
You need a Wiener Schnitzel Visa in Austria...🤣
