Hi. Lead designer here (I hope you won't object, crystal :hue) "DT Cards are significantly more powerful than other cards" Oh boy. This will be fun. So, there's power and there's impact. Powerful=/=impactful. DT cards are usually DT because they are the most impactful cards in the game. To illustrate, Jerry is a very powerful card - but it is because of its defensive capabilities and versatility, as 4 ATK isn't too face-threatening. Jerry doesn't help you work towards your wincon, but it helps you to survive the early to mid stages of the game. DT cards (most of them) are SUPER impactful. The Heroine is a tempo machine, Chara locks the board in your favor for several turns, and Skris gives infinite value. Basically, DTs are your top-end. But top-end doesn't equal power! (try playing a deck with all DTs and legends, lol)
Thank you very much for the explanation, I completely understand what you're trying to say here. I can see how DT cards could be less powerful but more impactful than other cards in the game! I appreciate the insight and will be sure to keep this information in mind if I plan to revisit DTs later on down the line!
I have a question about the vessel if I was to get to get a skin for the vessel will the true vessel also have that skin or will it just change into the true vessel without the skin
5:50 It's worth mentioning that the game has a lot of tools to deal with it without killing. Ugly Fish and Catch effects, Paralysis, but the nastiest is of course Toriel. It also needs you to have an empty board beforehand to get full value. 6:45 Quite the contrary. Since OF is good when you already have the board, it's much less versatile than AoD, which can be played from behind copying an enemy monster, or swinging back with some big setup of your own. Thus, OF is not as "safe" to put in your deck. 7:10 Not an OTK, but there's a combo that basically instawins. Play OF at some point, saving a board with 1 enemy that has 2+ ATK. Then return the OF to deck or hand. Later, load the board, place the OF in Red Wagon, and save the board again with the one you returned to your hand. You now have infinite deck and infinite boardwipes which also leave 9/9s (later 12/12s) on the board. It is extremely slow and expensive, so it's not good but that's to be expected of a combo that literally just... Wins. 8:35 And Zoo. Especially Zoo. 8:55 At higher ranks you also gotta be wary of Jevil and Asgore, both of which are extremely versatile legends that kill Kris even through Transparency. It's also worth mentioning that Kris isn't nearly as impactful (see other comment) as most other DTs. And way easier to deal with once its out of Transparency than AoD or Heroine. Then again, it costs less than AoD and doesn't have Heroine's condition, while also having reactivity with Haste. 10:00 So, while this IS in the meta, it's not even tier 1. Mostly because none of the Undertale Legendaries actually draw you cards (except Alphys in some souls), and since it turns ALL cards in your deck into legends, your draw engines are also gone. This makes it a very risky card to play, throwing you into "topdeck mode" for quite a while. Shovels combo also disables some of the otherwise usable Legendaries, turning them dead (Killer Cook, Grilling King). Not to mention there's quite a bit of shitty legends as well, like Gaster and DT Extractor who aren't really effective outside of their decks. I also personally hate Frisk since it won't stop giving me more than one Reflection. In a row. Grrr. 12:06 It's fair to say that Failed Design and Round Devices aren't strong whatsoever, and Tough Body is mediocre. You also didn't mention that Ultima requires VERY careful deckbuilding, as your cards will constantly get "stolen" from your by the Parts - which hits your consistency really hard. Sure, parts aren't really bad cards, but more often than not you'd rather have, you know. Your deck. 13:10 Not by 1. By 1, then by 2, then by 3... It works kind of like fatigue, worsening the loss for every knife used. 15:12 Finally, someone realizes this is better than Skris. Let's hear your reasoning... 16:15 No. There isn't. It's the most barebones OTK setup in the game, it's not played at all, and yet it costs nearly as much as your combo.

16:17 That strategy isn't that easy to pull off as The vestal turns into a different card called true vestal which is a vanilla monster with its magic effects to prevent that sort of cheese from happening. The only way you can choose with vestal the way you describe it is if you somehow cheat out it's with a card effect that summon it on board immediately.

What candy and transperency does?
Candy heals your card by 3 on turn end, while transparency doesn't let the enemy target your card for a turn.
