as a girl....nothing more confusing as an adult than not knowing which friend (girl) actually likes you and which one jsut sayin that cuz she wanna seem like she nice but she actually talk shit about you behind your back, legit made me a bit nervous about making friends
Im not sure of your age but that fakeness doesn't last forever. You'll learn which ones are the reals and which ones are the fakes.
@@jenniferp4612 life teaches you that. A hard but important lesson

As I get older, my friend circle gets smaller. And I even question those few friends I have now. Can’t tell you how many times I had friends talking shit behind my back but friendly to my face. It’s exhausting.
in my twenties my intimate friend group got smaller, but my bonds grew deeper and i gained good friend making experience

Ugh. Yes
Yes! I hate we are ecpected too and then people think I'm not nice just cause I stay quiet
I can’t stand that shit! I rather not be spoken to than deal with the fake platitudes.
No worries mam . Can't fight 400k years of evolutionary adaptation. Men have the same kind of problems. Good thing is that in the modern world being nice/passive aggressive is way more suited , then the way male type of violence are expressed. Listen, if a girl doesn't sugar coat the shade with niceness then just know it's about to pop off telepathically.
Right. If it wasn't for that it would be crazy
Lmao! As a man I am starting to notice this myself in different situations.
The same type of females who claim to be faithful and true are perpetually dishonest.
@@e0jay The girls who claim to be “the nicest, sweetest person on earth” are always the worst and most psycho. This has been the case every single time, at least in my experience. @@TheChickenRiceBowl seriously, if you are a great person. You'd show it
I dont get trying to have girls who are very stylistically different and really into fashion try to rate eachother on looks in a line like this. Like theyll clearly prefer their style over all others, and then people who are closer to their own tastes, and then based on personality.
YEAH that's what makes the argument hard
Just because I have a drastically different style from you doesn’t mean I don’t wish I could rock your style and love it. You can love more than one style an have it be different than your own. Just like if you like baseball you can also like tennis.

This is why I don't like the whole "women support other women!!!" thing cause it's like no if I like you I like you and if I don't I don't. You don't get preferetial treatment bc we're the same gender as each other lol. We're not automatically on the same team.
(I understand the underlying sentiment of women supporting each other when they might be say in an enviroment that's potentially hostile to women but it still implies that you treat someone better for sharing the same gender. My frustration is more when it's said in normal contexts)
Completely agree👏🏽 the whole “woman support women” phrase is a bit counterproductive 🤷🏽♀️
Yep, agreed.
Agree completely. Some women take advantage of it.
Exactly! And same thing with Black people. I'm Black, and I hate being lumped in with woke, self-righteous Blacks who think they are exempt of racism because only the systemic definition applies to America. I'm not like that! I believe that any race can be racist and that racism is not just a systemic issue. And I hate it when black people say "we're all one big family" just because they're all black. No, I am not your "sistah!" No, you are not my "brothah" because we are nothing like each othah!! If you automatically think someone has certain convictions and beliefs because of their skin color, who's being racist then? (Sorry to go off on a tangent, I had to get my point across.)

She's the kind of chick who'd have a great family with a solid guy, that's rare as hell nowadays

bruh Absolutely agree. I actually found her dress more "timeless"/" business casual" and to me that "fashion". She would be 1 and the girl with the all white would be 2.
Yea but her facial expression throughout the episode was just.....off you know. It seemed like she was sad

@@whatever3543 Bruh, You placed Barbie second? Even WITH her personality? Jesus.
My rank:
1. Goth girl: Most cohesive style and I love how feminine it is even though its goth.
2. Green plaid girl: Classy style. She says it's vintage but honestly it's really modern...especially her hairstyle. She should've worn some stockings, a pearl necklace and better heels if she wanted an actual vintage look.
3. White zebra print girl: This look would've looked better on someone taller. It's really ill fitting on her (I mean the pants are nearly touching the floor) and she should've worn some platforms to give her more height.
4. Camo girl: Very Go Diego Go, safari look.....nothing much more to say about it.
5. Barbie girl: Listen.....I like y2k style but this fit is ugly. Looks like one of those ugly washed out prints from forever 21. It just looks unfinished.

I'm a woman, and all of my life I have struggled immensely with making and keeping female friends. I have largely experienced 'fake nice' from around 75-80% of the women I have interacted with. I can't fucking stand it. I started as a cosmetologist and eventually became a barber to primarily specialize in men's styles, just so I didn't have to deal with it as intensely. One of the best decisions I ever made, tbh.
@Sufiya H. I can see your point...however I've just had a different experience. I've worked/been in sooooo many different types of salons, and interacted with so many different types of personalities, and there are plenty of women I came across that weren't coiled tightly around appearances, that also happened to be 'fake nice' toxic individuals and targeted me as a fellow woman.

Trauma dressing is fun
I watched both the guys and girls version when it came out and was mildly annoyed how most of them were forcing themselves to appreciate outfits that were just weird.
Uplifting themselves? Staying true to themselves? What's wrong with that
In my opinion it also came off as forcing themselves to find something they like about each others outfits, but at the same time i believe that this was something good. For example, in a public setting they would have given each other a weird look and move on with their day. Here they had to give it more thought and be more open to new ideas, even if it was forced. They were also able to get to know the intention behind it and notice the little details, all by talking to the person. And still; you can always say something genuinely nice. In this case; I respect the confidence you have to have to wear what you want
because they were on camera 😭 don’t want to seem like an @$$
It's because they're on camera. If they could've of done it anonymously, I'm sure a LOT of them would've been ragged on.
@Hinah Slim True but I don't think it's problematic if you don't see that person again. It only becomes "fake" if there's some kind of relationship involved

Personally, I kind of liked the green plad the best. But it's kind of cool to see how everyone had a different perspective on what fashion choices look good and which don't.
Honestly I only keep rlly honest people around me (girls wise) even if it means they’re a little too honest because that means when they compliment me it’s special and they mean it.
It blows my mind how each of these girls immediately placed themselves first. They always say "I'm so out there" or "I put in so much effort into my outfit" everyone there put effort into their appearance, that doesn't immediately make you #1
Not trying to be malicious, I don't see the effort in "Barbie's" outfit. :)
Her heels, beautiful bare legs and open seemed to be what helped her along.
If she was in flats she could've been in last place. I can see her chilling on a couch at home in that outfit (sans heels).
Basically, if all of them were shoeless on a couch, Barbie would be in last place as she looks most at home on the couch. None of the others fit on the couch shoeless. :)
What’s the issue with that? If they all genuinely felt they were number 1, then place yourself at number one.
There’s no point pretending to be modest and go ‘oh, i’ll place myself at number 2 .. or 5 because I think you look better’, if the individual genuinely feels that their style looks better...
...Place yourself at 1🤷♀️
Nothing wrong with that. If you were to put someone else first then, your style isn't really your style.
Obviously they like their own style. Do you expect them to pick someone’s style over the one they have specifically picked because it’s their favourite
It would be mindblowing if they all had they same style. For example, if they all wore lolita outfits and every single one of them put herself first. I'd be like "where has the producer found five girls who are all THIS confident?"
But they wore completely different styles, so it makes sense that they'd pick something that is closer to their aesthetic as the best one, even if they had to choose themselves.
It'd be pretty fake if a goth girl picked the barbie girl as "1", cause if you like this style so much, why don't you wear it, right?
Once heard one of my wife's "friends" say and I quote. "You can have this pair of jeans, but if I ever get fat I want them back." Pretty happy to not have that friend in our lives anymore.
Are you glad over the matter of her being someone who takes back gifts?
Wow. What a pathetic 😒 thing for her to say.
Whoa!
If my friend said that to me I would find it funny. Women are just sensitive.
@@mikem565 exactly that shit was funny as hell
The "rainbow guy" when he said "ye, i know she stands out...." then he added ironically to his outfit "i too stand out" 😂 you missed it maybe, i think he wanted to be ironic with his outfit too 😂😎
They really pretending to fan Girl over each other so much 😆 🤣 😂....I cringed
I think a lot of people would put theirselves at number 1 because otherwise they dont wear the clothes they wear, but I mean these people are just like "Im number one because im just better than all of you" like??
It's been my experience that 80% of men don't care what they're wearing as long as it doesn't smell too bad or is dirty/stained/wrinkled.
Women are the ones who are interested in fashions, what's in style, what isn't, who's wearing what etc. And they buy these fashions to impress other women, men don't care.
I used to date a girl that would be watching TV and shout out "She's wearing Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Prada, Giuseppe Zanotti", etc.
I could never understand why that was important. I own one suit for weddings/funerals other than that I dress in jeans and polo shirts because it's comfortable.
@@dracomaifoy7377 women dress to impress men as well as other women
@@annoymous7052 - What you say may well be true. I don't know every man and women on the planet so I can't speak for them. But it's been my experience that the vast majority of men, perhaps 80%, do not care what a woman wears. They'll tell her "You look very beautiful tonight" and mean it, but they can't tell her that her shoes are Prada, or her bag is Louis Vuitton or the ring on her finger is a Vera Wang, But other women know, you can bet on that. They dress to impress each other.
@@dracomaifoy7377 a lot of guys can but only if it has the brand’s signature design in the clothing but yh ur right but they also wants male attention nd other girls are their competition so they wanna impress them as well
idk about that because if youre looking objectively and realistically you're not always gonna come out on top in every situation. if someone looks flyer than me im gon say it lmao, ppl egos b wild
Okay so what gets me, as a female who pays attention to fashion, is that none of them found a way to take a step back and just not put themselves in the equation at all.
Personally I feel like all outfits are a challenge to wear, because unless you feel comfortable/confident you look like shit. Like I wish people had just ranked styles and not people.... Or had to choose an outfit of another contestant go wear.
Edit: women are judged so quickly on outfits (if she's hot) that I think most women, especially when talking about another woman's outfit to her face follow the 5 second rule: if it can be fixed in 5 seconds mention it, if not you're a bitch for commenting. Telling someone their outfit sucks is pretty damn shitty.
No, it's not then how can they learn to dress better if no one ever tells them the truth? That's why I see a range of women who dress excellently (especially Latina and African women) and others who just throw on random shit together and claim it's fashion but since we aren't allowed to criticize women they just keep getting away with that eye sore.
Fashion is subjective. Never telling someone their outfit sucks is a way to prevent them from growing which is worse than telling them their outfit sucks. But then again, fashion is subjective. If someone asks me, i will tell them what i think. Which is what everyone should do.
@@Uzodesign I think I understand you if you're speaking on the USA. Across the Atlantic (esp Paris) they ALL know how to put stuff together and accessorize.
@@ronniesnakehissiii9413 It's one thing to dress casually to run to the grocery store to grab stuff. Yeah, in America.
The entire point of the video was talking about what you think about other people's outfits. If you think the outfit is trash, you gotta say it. Just in a polite but not sugarcoated way of course
HOW did both the men and the women rate that first girl number 1? How? I thought the vintage girl dressed best, but she could have done a bit more to make the outfit less drab/more exciting, but damn my taste must just massively differ from jubilee people apparently
I know!
It's because they can wear her clothes. Lol her outfit was unisex and boring
tbh.. I would agree with anything except the number 1

Why are we fake nice? If my enemy thinks I'm a friend, they are easy to defeat.
Many of us are taught not to hurt 🤕 people's feelings at an early age. This is why it's very difficult for other women to bring about real change within the community. It's either overdoing the nice & respectful while lowering our standards & lying 🤥🤥 to people to spare their feelings or it's being loud & disrespectful while attempting to intimidate others to bend to our will. Rarely, will you come across or witness a happy 😊 medium with young girls & women.
I see the majority of commenters only know weak willed women.
Women are always out to one up eachother even if they dont admit it up front. Its competition for these type of females.
@@coffintears5821 as if men aren't competitive lol oh right, competitiveness is only a problem when it's about women, how could I forget

clothing is p subjective as to whats good and bad too. like we can talk abt their aesthetics and which ones pulled off their aesthetic better but this is basically a dick measuring contest

Same here. Prolly woulda added a corset too, honestly

To answer the question in the title - it’s a survival tactic. If you’re not fake nice to women you’re you’re not close to, you’ll make enemies. You can only be real with those you f with, and even then, you gotta be careful.
Spoken as a true woman.
Honestly the ginger and the top 2 were easily the best fashion wise. Their outfits seemed clean.
I think women typically do the "fake nice" routine because in general women are not confrontational. So when there is a difference of opinion or risk of confrontation, some women will try to make temporary peace. Basically keeping their opinions but putting water on the flame. This of course is general so there are always exceptions.
not true, women are confrontational, but just aren’t direct
they know all kinds of ways how to be confrontational indirectly thru backhanded compliment, passive aggressiveness, body language and micro-expressions, socially excluding women they don’t like, triangulation etc
