Only upgrades are front JDM headlights with TSX retrofitted, Koni Yellow and Eibach springs, and my amazing sounding exhaust Apex'i N1 with Active Silencer. Thinking of getting a camber kit for it.

Wow what a great deal! I wish mine was a vtec model. I really miss my 95 vtec which is why I bought this one. Normally I would have passed on the si but this one is soooo clean. Glad to see other prelude lovers out there!

@@HONDACARGUY no it’s not. The TT is notoriously unreliable and costs a ton more up front. Also the power output wasn’t a huge deal for me since I have a 2018 Mustang GT and even a TT Z would get smoked by it. Just love having these old classics in good shape for cruising around
I would add one more thing to that list: unless you are drunk, it's practically impossible to unknowingly overheat the engine. The engine temperature gauge is positioned and designed in such a way that you will immediately notice the slightest rise in temperature.
Jealous of how clean your Prelude is; mine is a similar configuration but double the miles and needs a repaint. Sadly I haven't gotten to drive it in almost two years because I started a rebuild/restomod on it and it's taking longer than anticipated. You definitely covered some good points! I'd argue this car's #1 best quality is a je ne sais quoi. There's an undescribable quality to the whole package the makes the car special, that you can't pin down to specs or numbers.

I love your Honda Prelude as well. I agree with your comments on it. I'm writing this in May of 2023. This week found a 1992 Prelude SI w/ only 24,000 miles on it for 25 grand, as well as a '96 for $32 grand.
My favorite things about my prelude… The stage 1 act clutch I mounted up last year . I own two preludes so I switch between automatic and manual that’s something I like . I like when vtec kicks in haha

Just got a 1994 si needs work but luckily for myself my dad helps run a dealership so all I gotta do is pay for parts and they’ll put em in and my uncles a pro painter so I get a free paint job thinking either millennium jade or forest green any tips about the prelude 🔥
I have a 92 black one. Just like that. Only leather seats. And a bit of rust in the corners. But I’m in agreement 💯. I drive on the back roads almost every day. Soft rubber tires make it a Rollercoaster.
Your wheels are on the opposite sides. They're labeled inside the rim. Your cars real clean. Usually the window trim goes bad first. Your radio is installed in the wrong spot. Radio goes in the top slot.
Bought it with wheels going wrong the wrong way and of course it had directional tires on it. Since been fixed. Also got it with the old ass radio and no bezel with pocket so still have to work on that but one thing at a time...

Don't ever sell it man people are starting to wake up to preludes and their value I've owned 3. My favourite was my 3rd gen witch the police stole from me all the best dude
Unfortunately pretty common there are a few write ups on how to fix sometimes you can solder some connections to get them working again but it may be easier just to buy a known working unit and swap it in.
😪 unfortunately not. I had to sell to have enough money for a down payment on a house and have been looking for another clean prelude for about a year now. The good news is that I sold it to a guy who appreciates these cars to the fullest extent. He still regularly sends me updates he has done to the car and pictures. It couldn't have gone to a better home.

I was surprised that the SI Prelude needed premium fuel. I figured only the Preludes with the dohc H22 required premium.
Yep it’s still over 10 to 1 compression so sis need premium... pretty crazy

I know :( directional tires too, so annoying. I bought it this way. The new owner got new wheels and tires.
I’d change those ugly ass rims and that red badge
